Review: Have Mercy by Ashley Gee

Have Mercy Have Mercy by Ashley Gee
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and BookSirens. This is my honest review.

I was really excited to see this book available through BookSirens since I read book 1 through a different PR company. This book picks up where book 1 ends, so you jump right into the drama with these characters.

There are a lot of unsolved mysteries that keep happening in this series, and more questions keep popping up. I'm very excited and curious to see how things get fixed in book 3 after that jaw dropping ending we received!

I'm really loving this series and I'm glad I got the chance to read this eARC novel!

Review: Wrecked by Kat Ransom

Wrecked Wrecked by Kat Ransom
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and BookSirens. This is my honest review.

I have read all of Kat Ransom's novels so far, and they just get better and better! I love this racing world she has created and her characters are phenomenal!

Jo is one tough chick. She's also pretty impressive being able to not give into her crush for so many years. I don't think I could have done that in her shoes.

Logan is going through a lot of internal struggle, but the way he feels for Jo has never wavered. Jo tries everything in her power to fix everything, something Logan appreciates with everything in him.

Maddox is a meddlesome full. I see what he did, but he was a jerk. He could have done that in so many better ways, but I'm sure he's going to get his comeuppance in his own book.

Also, I NEED Lexi's brothers books. I know they aren't F1 drivers, and so far Kat Ransom has only written racing stories, but I KNOW she would write amazing novels about all of those brothers and that is my hopes and dreams that those are in the works.

I'm so grateful that I discovered Kat Ransom through BookSirens and that I've been able to read all of her books. She has now become an instant author that I will automatically snatch up! Can't wait for the next one!

Review: The Cursed And Desired by G. Bailey

The Cursed And Desired The Cursed And Desired by G. Bailey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

This series is amazing! I love the storyline and the characters and so many secrets were revealed in this book. And yet I'm hankering for more after that ending.

Riona is a great character. She's brave and witty and fantastic. She's always making the right decision, even if she doesn't like it. Maddox is amazing and I love how dedicated and devoted he is to Riona.

I am extremely excited to see what happens in book 3, because I know it's going to be amazing!

Review: The Sin of Kissing You by Maya Hughes

The Sin of Kissing You The Sin of Kissing You by Maya Hughes
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

This book is packed full of emotion and it will leave the reader speechless.

I love Dare. He is risking everything for the most important thing in his life, because this is his second chance and he doesn't want to mess it up. Sadly, things are waiting in the background to test him. He is exhausting himself beyond a person's limits, so he's not at the top of his game as he should be.

Bay. Oh, Bay. I liked you in book 1. I understood your viewpoint in the first part of this book. But she used Dare for her own gain and didn't try to help him when Dare needed it. He sacrificed EVERYTHING and she left when it was too much for her to handle. Yes, Dare did an unspeakable thing in book 1, but she forgave him after he went out of his way to help her. And he went above out of his way to gain her forgiveness.

So I'm on Team Dare at this point. I see both viewpoints, understand why they are the way they are, but Bay just abandoned Dare and was to much of a coward to do it in person and that doesn't sit right with me. I'm hoping Bay will be redeemed in my eyes in the final book. Dare better not instantly forgive her - she needs to earn his forgiveness this time.

Obviously this book pulled me through an emotional rollercoaster, and I think every reader will go through a blender of emotions. I'm so glad I got the chance to read this book and I'm looking forward to the conclusion in May!

Review: Legacy by Hannah McBride

Legacy Legacy by Hannah McBride
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author.  This is my honest review.

I am literally blown away by how amazing this series, and this author, is!  For this being Hannah McBride's debut storyline, I am only expecting amazing things from here on out.

This book is definitely meant to be read in order, so if you haven't started this series, RUN and get it!!  Legacy picks up the exact second that Prey ends, so if you are binge reading this, you won't have to wait in agony to see what happens.

So, so, so much happens in this book, but it is really just in a span of 2-3 weeks total, which really shows you just how much is happening in Skye and Remy's life right now.  Being only 18, they are extremely ready to take on anything that comes their way after dealing with the major craziness that happens in these few weeks.

Skye makes my heart warm.  She has grown so much from book 1, she has learned to love herself after her terrible upbringing, and the new family she has gained has been a major reason for that.  I love how determined and loyal and fierce she gets throughout this series and I am just so happy for how her life has changed so much.

Remy is fantastic.  He is such an unique Alpha, and he really is the one true person made for Skye.  Only Remy could work through Skye's troubled past and not be a domineering jerk during that process.  No, he was sweet, kind, patient, but when the circumstances called for it, he was possessive, protective and growly.

I feel like this review is not giving this book justice, because there was just so much content that happened in this book.  I loved every second, every word, every crazy thing that happened, and I know this is going to be a series that I will re-read over and over again in the future.  I'm so glad I got the chance to discover this author at the beginning of her amazing journey, because I will be a super fan for all of her amazing stories!

Recommendation - drop everything and pick up this series.  You can thank me later!

Review: Paying The Bratva's Debt by Jagger Cole

Paying The Bratva's Debt Paying The Bratva's Debt by Jagger Cole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Jagger Cole has become an author that I need all of his books because I love them! Viktor and Fiona's story for me is ranked one of my favorites of his novels. I love the tension between these two characters and how even though Fiona was super sheltered, she's not one that you can bulldoze over her. She knows her law and fights back, even if it's dirty haha.

I love that the second Viktor saw Fiona, it was game over for him. He knew, in that second, that he would do whatever it took to have her because he couldn't live without her.

I'm very excited that I got a chance to read this and, as always, I'm looking forward to Jagger's next amazing novel!

Review: A Vow So Bold and Deadly by Brigid Kemmerer

A Vow So Bold and Deadly A Vow So Bold and Deadly by Brigid Kemmerer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley and Edelweiss. This is my honest review.

After binging through book 1 and 2, I found myself flying through this book. It took me less than a day whereas the other 2 books took 2 days each, so that tells you something.

I appreciated that this book had the 4 characters viewpoints: Harper, Rhen, Grey and Lia Mara. Each character has grown so much from the first time we met them. Rhen, to me, is the most annoying. He's always finding excuses and complaining. I'm not sure how Harper, who is so strong willed and fearless, can be in love with him, but opposites attract, right?

Grey and Lia Mara are still my favorite. I love how they had to woo the people to trust them - that really shows how well they will be as leaders. I really think Lia Mara's sister needs to be put down a leg or two, because she had some serious control issues.

Overall, I enjoyed this book and I enjoyed this series. I'm glad I finally got around to reading them, finally!

Review: A Heart So Fierce and Broken by Brigid Kemmerer

A Heart So Fierce and Broken A Heart So Fierce and Broken by Brigid Kemmerer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from Edelweiss. This is my honest review.

Again, I'm oh so glad I decided to read these books back to back because so many details would have been lost through the year-ish wait in between.

I'm surprised at how much I liked Lia Mara. She's stuck in a really hard place, being the sweet, gentle person she is in the cruel, uncaring world she lives in. Seeing her mother and sister be ruthless with other people's lives kills a small part of her inside, and that makes me love her more. Then she loves to read and be alone and I'm basically looking in the mirror.

Gray was always an interesting character to me in book 1. His connection with Harper made me think that those two were going to end up together, so it was a bit of a curveball when he became attracted to Lia Mara in this book. And his conflicting feelings about his entire existence really made Gray stop and think about what HE wanted for maybe the first time in his life.

This book felt like there was nothing going on. These characters traveled and traveled and TRAVELED and I felt like it was never going to end. However, the ending (that I 100% predicted by the way) kinda of made up for it in the long run. The epilogue was a shock to me I will admit, and I'm very interested to see what book 3 will bring!

Review: A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer

A Curse So Dark and Lonely A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from Edelweiss.  This is my honest review.

I have had this book for SO LONG but I waited to read it until the series was complete.  And I'm ever so glad I did because there is so much to unpack in this world, and I'm not sure if I would have remembered all of the details.

I love the concept of this story and how different and unique it is.  Yes, it's a retelling of the Beauty and the Beast, but there are a lot of differences in here to make it it's own story.  The main characters have flaws that somewhat annoyed me at times, but for the most part you can see how brave they both are.  Especially Harper, who is thrust into a completely different world, but she is always fighting to do the right thing.  That right thing for her changes a few times, but she's got a good heart and always has good intentions.

Rhen has given up by the time the reader meets him, so he's a bit harder to like, I think.  Harper gives him hope, which is sweet, and gives him a mission in life.

Overall, I enjoyed this book and I'm glad I finally got around to read it.  I'm excited to see what happens in the next books!

Review: Vow of Deception by Rina Kent

Vow of Deception Vow of Deception by Rina Kent
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

So many twists and turns! I really didn't see a lot of the surprises in this book, and I loved every reveal. The setting between the two characters is crazy tense and I was just waiting for the other shoe to be dropped.

The main female character is tough and a fighter. She doesn't give in to Adrian's demands and she sticks to her find, which I admire so much. I love seeing her connect with Jeremy.

Adrian is a tough nut to crack, so he's still a bit of a mystery for me. I'm hoping more gets revealed about him and his thoughts in the next 2 novels.

That ending was intense and left me with questions and wanting more! I can't wait for book 2 to come out so I can see what happens next!

Review: Dark Deception by Rina Kent

Dark Deception Dark Deception by Rina Kent
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is so short and only gives a fraction of information in pieces, that I am very grateful I waited to read this until I had book 1 in my hands! Now I can just dive right in to see how everything is going to work out.

I really feel for the female character and I hope life gets better for her, but I think it's going to be a rollercoaster of a ride to get there.

I'm so excited for this series and fans of Rina Kent are going to love this as well!

Review: Qualify by T.L. Mayhew

Qualify Qualify by T.L. Mayhew
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

This was a fantastic book! It was my first book by this author and my first book in this series, but I didn't feel lost or confused at all! I loved the tension began Berkeley and Kye, and I loved the suspense that also happened in this book.

Berkeley is an amazing character. Even though she knew she would have trouble being a female in a very dominated world, that didn't stop her one bit in pursuing her dreams. She kept going and she was adamant that she do it on her own as well. I love her gumption and drive.

The amount of no self control Kye had around Berkeley was so attractive to me. He tried, I'll give him that, but them being apart was not meant to be.

I'm really glad I got the chance to read this book! Everyone is going to love it!

Holding You Close Holding You Close by Kennedy Fox
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Noah and Katie are adorable! I loved this book and this duet and readers of Kennedy Fox are going to devour this book just like I did. Seriously, one sitting I started and finished this book and now I'm left wanting more of this world!

So many things happened in this novel - most I predicted and loved every reveal. Seeing all of the characters connect and come together in times of need was wonderful. I absolutely adore Owen and how sweet he is.

I am so intrigued for the next duet because I think that is going to be a rollercoaster of fun!

I adore this story and I'm so glad I got to read this novel!

Review: More Than Lies by N. E. Henderson

More Than Lies More Than Lies by N.E. Henderson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

There is so much to unpack in this novel! So many things happened, so many emotions to go through, it was a rollercoaster from start to finish!

Taralynn's upbringing was really sad and unfair, but I'm really happy so found her home with the guys she lives with. And I love that she is a bookworm and loves to write, and is pursuing that dream.

Shawn is so self doubting, yet he is so confident about things in his life. I love that he is determined to but the tattoo shop and is amazing at creating tattoos, but he thinks he's not good enough for Tara.

It was nice when both characters were finally on the same page about their feelings toward one another, but life really did seem to keep throwing curveballs at them left and right. It was a lot to deal with, but I gobbled everything up needing to know what else would happen next.

I'm really glad I got the chance to read this book and I'm hoping to read more by this author in the future!

Review: Dear Love, I Hate You by Eliah Greenwood

Dear Love, I Hate You Dear Love, I Hate You by Eliah Greenwood
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions.  This is my honest review.

This is my first Eliah Greenwood novel, but it sure isn't going to be my last!  I loved this book and DEVOURED it in one sitting.  I didn't want this fantastic story to end, but sadly it did.

Vee and Xavier both have their inner demons they are fighting, so seeing them do old style pen pal notes was sweet and adorable.  Plus it was in a library, and I love that that was the initial setting of this book because libraries are the love of my life :)

Xavier was holding in A LOT of anger.  I don't blame him, but I wish he would have talked to someone.  Or just confronted the person he was angry at, because he was lashing out and making rash decisions that really could have ruined his future.  So seeing him make his confessions via pen pal letters was amazing, but also reckless considering he had no idea who was getting the letters in return.

Vee has a lot of angst and anger as well.  She doesn't like the way she is treated at home, but says nothing and lets it simmer every day - not healthy.  Then her best friend is changing before her eyes, and again she says nothing, even though it's really bothering her.  Holding in all of that emotion is not healthy, but she does it because she thinks she has to, which is really sad.

I loved seeing Vee and Xavier interact in real life rather than through the pen pal letters.  Sure, that was cute, but it wasn't REAL as it was when they talked to one another.

Some characters in this book need to die because of their actions, some just maimed.  But no matter what, this book made me feel an emotional rollercoaster of feelings and I loved every second of it.  I am now probably going to have to go and read her other novels, and be a crazy stalker reader of this author because I can't get enough!

I'm so glad I got the chance to read this novel and I'm looking forward to more!

Review: More Than A Game by Bella Matthews

More Than A Game More Than A Game by Bella Matthews
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions.  This is my honest review.

Bella Matthews is quickly becoming a favorite author of mine!  This world she has created is fantastic, and the characters are wonderful!  Sabrina and Murphy are amazing and I loved seeing them finally allowing them the chance to connect and get to know each other on the level they have been dreaming about.

I love that both characters know exactly what they want to do with their life and that they are working their tails off to make it happen.  Sabrina is so crazy organized and detailed, it makes me happy because I am the same :)  I'm really glad she stood up to her mother and father after they went too far trying to organize her life - it made me extremely happy and I may have even cheered out loud, haha! And Murphy is the jokester of the bunch, but I love how the reader gets to see the serious side to him and how much he loves the people around him.

All of the side characters are great, and I am really excited to see how everyone falls in love in the upcoming books!  Because I can guarantee that I am going to be reading Bella Matthews next books - I'm hooked!

Review: The Art of Falling For You by Maya Hughes

The Art of Falling For You The Art of Falling For You by Maya Hughes
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

O. M. G.!!! I absolutely, 100% love this book! I was immediately sucked into this story and was really grateful that the entire book was the backstory of Bay and Dare's story. Having all of the details really made everything click into place on why things are a bit tense between the two of them now.

Both of these characters grew up in an unique home, shaping them into the mature teenager that they were in high school. Bay and Dare are both running away from their own nightmares, so I can understand how they connected through that link.

I love how Dare never gave up getting to know Bay, once he heard her sing. And she tried her hardest to ignore him and stay away from him. But Dare was very persistent.

This book had a lot of heartbreak in here, and a lot of sweet moments. I DEVOURED every word, from the moment I started reading and I couldn't stop.

But let me tell you, I absolutely lost it with the VERY. LAST. WORD. Of this book. Everything was made clear and I became 1,000 times more ecstatic about this series. I can't believe I didn't pick up on anything, but I love that I was 100% surprised and I NEED the next book. NEED!!

Everyone is going to love this book and I'm really glad we don't have to wait long for the next book! Maya Hughes did a phenomenal job with this story!

Review: The Baby Fling by Alexis Winter

The Baby Fling The Baby Fling by Alexis Winter
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Bianca and Brett are adorable and innocent loved how things kicked off really well for them. They just clicked right away, and the whole story was great. About 70% of the way, I did get really annoyed with Bianca for not telling Brett the truth and keeping information to herself. I thought that was petty and selfish to be honest.

Overall I really enjoyed this book and I'm glad I got the chance to read this novel!
