I received this eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Riley first met the "mafia princess" Brooke when they were roommates at 13 years old. Then Brooke was taken out of school and Riley's life at age 14. Now 14 years later, Brooke is missing and Riley has just been kidnapped by Kai Bennett, Brooke's brother and the man in charge of the mafia.

Kai terrifies Riley for two reasons. One, it's almost like he has no emotion. He's harden, done bit calculating and deadly. He was at 16 the first time Riley saw him and he's only gotten better 14 years later.

But the second reason? Riley feels an attraction to Kai...a connection. Abd she can't feel that because she changed her life around. Kai would only bring back the darkness she escaped from...

Riley had been sucked into the Bennett's family drama to find Brooke. But it might be too late for her by the end, though...

Holy camolie! I'm almost stunned by what i just read... seriously i really didn't expect to love this book as much as i did!!!! At first i was terrified right along side Riley when she first encountered Kai, but man i felt that pull toward him just like Riley felt. He is dangerous and cunning and almost scary, but so damn sexy and appealing!

Riley is an amazing character too. She had a shitty life growing up but now she is doing something good and saving as many innocent people that she can. And her resistance to Kai? Whoo she is way stronger than i would have been!

This book was so much more than i thought it was going to be! I loved it so much and its one that i may have to re-read in the future!

Fans of Tijan are going to love this book and i can see many new readers getting tied up in this new novel of hers! :D
