It was really nice to get the back story on what happened between the brothers and how their fate got sealed before we met them in the first book.
I felt for Yesubai and how she grew up. That is no way for a child to live in her own home. And now I can understand her decision about the brothers too.
While this book isn't needed to understand the main story, it's it very helpful to understand the brothers and it gives a deeper explanation on the origin of the story. So glad I got a chance to read it!
