I received this free eARC novel from Edelweiss. This is my honest review.
This book broke my heart. Because I read the previous books in the series, I sort of skimmed the present day sections since it was basically a repeat of book #1, but the 5 years ago sections? Oh man, I was almost in tears to be honest. Poor Tyler and what he had to go through. I can't even imagine a parent doing that to their child, but I do know it happens in real life. And to see and read about Tyler's feelings toward his dad, and how he almost gave up toward the end? It was heart wrenching. It definitely gives a new perspective to why Tyler was the way he was when Eden met him 5 years later.
I'm so glad I got a chance to read this book, and this series, and it will definitely be a subject matter that I won't forget any time soon.
