Review: The Naughty Or Nice Clause by Kate Callaghan

The Naughty Or Nice Clause The Naughty Or Nice Clause by Kate Callaghan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I'm not the biggest fan of Christmas stories, but I enjoyed this story none the less. I liked the animosity between Mason and Lyla. They really went at each other throughout majority of the book and I liked seeing the back and forth between them.

I also liked their time at Mason's home the best. That environment was great and I loved the magic that came with it!

I'm glad I got the chance to read this book and explore this world.

Review: The Mistletoe Bet by Maren Moore

The Mistletoe Bet The Mistletoe Bet by Maren Moore
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I connected so well with Quinn in this story. I am such a scrooge, Grinch, etc. when it comes to Christmas. And I have had so many people try to convince me otherwise haha.

The tension between Quinn and Parker was really intense and seeing them get to know each other again was great.

This was a cute story watching these two appreciate the magic of the holidays! I'm glad I got the chance to read this story!

Review: Risking Forever by A.M. Kusi

Risking Forever Risking Forever by A.M. Kusi
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author.  This is my honest review.

Every time I read an A. M. Kusi book, I fall in love all over again.  I don't know how they do it, but each time, I get so immersed into the story and fall for all of the characters, and am always sad when it's finished and I can't dive into their lives anymore.

Elise and Roman's story is so sweet.  I absolutely adore how much the Emerson family loves Ariel and how everyone learned sign language for her.  Some families wouldn't have done that, but it was second nature for everyone to show their love to find a way to communicate with her after everything she went through.  I am also envious of them for learning to sign, because that has always been something I wish I would start doing.  I know I can start at any time, but I'm just lazy and haven't learned yet.  Maybe one day I'll finally go through with it.

Also, the mermaid scene?  By far the most precious, special scene I think I've ever read in a book before.  The amazement of Ariel's reaction and the lessons she took from that really saved her life and opened her heart even more following that touching moment.  Elise absolutely loves that little girl and for to create that moment for her is the sweetest thing ever.

The intensity between Elise and Roman is off the charts.  Those two explode around each other and the spice is crazy!  I absolutely fell for all of these characters and loved every second, every word of this book.  I am so glad I got the chance to read this amazing story and I'm very intrigued for the next one to come!

Review: All I Need by J.H. Croix

All I Need All I Need by J.H. Croix
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Valentine PR.  This is my honest review.

I adored this book!  I love that Noah and Sasha were able to reconnect after so many years and you can just feel the attraction between the two.

And I love that this spanned over a long period of time, but didn't drag out the time or anything.  It was very well paced, and had just enough spice and just enough sweet to really make this a great story!

I also love how attentive Noah was with Quinn.  Their relationship was so sweet and I loved seeing them interact and get to know each other.

This book really showcased a great family dynamic and how, when letting one person in can cause amazing and conflicting feelings all of the time.  I honestly was here to see more of the sweet, family side rather than the spicy scenes because I just got so warm hearted seeing everyone falling even more in love with each other.

I'm so glad I got the chance to read this story and I'm looking forward to more in this series!

Review: The King's Game by Nicole Sanchez

The King's Game The King's Game by Nicole Sanchez
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author.  This is my honest review.

Oh, this book.  I had feelings, I was screaming at Daphne so many times, and I was entranced in watching the story unfold.  I figured out what was happening very early on, so many times when certain characters were around I was internally telling Daphne what to do, but of course she wasn't listening to me - or anyone really.  I love how even though all of the girls are their to get the attention of Essos, they didn't sabotage each other, well not that much anyway.  They were there for each other in stressful, scary situation.

I love Dave and how he connected with Daphne almost instantly.  And I love Cat and the friendship between her and Daphne.  They really are like sisters and you can feel that during the entire novel.

Essos is frustrating.  I understand he can't say anything to the girls because of whatever, but his actions were very upsetting to me, and I can't even imagine how Daphne really felt.  He did himself no favors quite frankly.

I'm glad I got the chance to read this novel and I'm intrigued on how things will get fixed in book 2!

Review: Broken Lines by Jagger Cole

Broken Lines Broken Lines by Jagger Cole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author.  This is my honest review.

It's been quite a long time since I've read a rockstar romance novel, so I was very happy to see that Jagger Cole dived into this genre and I got to revisit it again and remember that I love them so much!  Plus the fact that Jagger wrote it, I knew it would be amazing.

I love these characters.  Jackson and Melody have pretty dark pasts and very unconventional lives, and to see them go head to head was fantastic.  I love how Melody is not a normal 20 year old in the way she loves her music and even though she's been around rock stars her whole life, she hasn't let that sway her decisions like some rock stars do.

Jackson.  Oh, Jackson, my tortured soul.  He's been through a lot in his 42 years, but to see him at his breaking point was heart wrenching.  I honestly wish for his life on the island and being around no one, but that's just because I have a hate relationship with people in general.  He wasn't make great choices, but it worked for him for many years until Melody exploded into his life and made him want different things.

I loved that there was a bit of mystery in this book, and a lot of redemption.  I was entrapped by these characters and stayed up way too late to finish their story, even though I had to work the next day.

I'm so glad I got the chance to read this novel and will definitely be adding it to my Jagger Cole collection that is constantly growing!

Review: Big Duke Energy by Emma Hart

Big Duke Energy Big Duke Energy by Emma Hart
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

This book was brilliant! It may have been a big page count, but I flew through it in no time because I absolutely loved it and couldn't stop reading it!

I loved that it was about an author having writer's block and trying to get inspiration. As a non-writer, I can wholeheartedly imagine this happening to many authors. This made Ellie so very real and normal like.

3 things I absolutely loved about this book (well, there are more but these are my top 3 things)

1. Max's grandma. Esme is amazing and I loved every interaction with her.

2. Winston. I don't have a cat, but I have 2 dogs, and they are not nearly as much work as Winston, thank goodness.

3. The Sims scene. I was laughing hysterically throughout that entire section, especially Max's reaction.

There are many, MANY more amazing scenes, basically the whole book, but those 3 things are my absolute favorite.

I adore this story and I'm so glad Ellie came into Max's life and was just pure Ellie. I'm so glad I got the chance to read this and, as always, already looking forward to more great novels by Emma Hart!
