I received this free novella from the authors website (at this link: https://books.bookfunnel.com/freebooksbygbailey). This is my honest review.
I read this as book 2.5, since that is how goodreads listed it, and at first I was super confused. These are characters we've not been introduced yet and it's on an island we haven't visited yet.
BUT it has a major clue for one of the pieces of Cassandra's riddle that she has to solve, and one of pirates was mentioned since he is from this island and knows these people.
I'm glad I read this before book 3 since it has a lot of clues that I'm sure will help make sense in the third and final book in this series!
