My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.
This was a great book! Ivy was put into an impossible situation and she adapted really quickly to survive this new life she was forced into. I would not have done well with that rude introduction, but Ivy figured things out pretty quickly.
The King Academy world is full of mystery, secrets, back stabing people, money hungry desperation, and lies. I'm so glad Ivy did not grow up there, because I feel like she would have turned out like all the nasty girls there. Because of her history, she does not take money for granted, she's not walking with a superiority attitude, and she's nice. Which makes me love her. And I love Milly too.
Archer, Romeo, and Declan are all unique in their own way, but all have the same upbringing since they are heirs. I like Archer the best so far but we didn't get to really know all 3 of them fully, so that may change.
I love Ivys decision at the end of the book. She stuck to her guns and essentially showed everyone that she meant business and wasn't going to be a pawn in anyone's game.
I'm so excited for this series and I cannot wait for the next book!
