Review: Forever the Highlands by Samantha Young

Forever the Highlands Forever the Highlands by Samantha Young
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I'm not sure how Samantha Young gets me to fall in love with each and every character she writes about, but it happened once again in this final book in this world. Such a bittersweet moment to know no more additions will be coming for this amazing world that was created!

Eilidh went through a lot of growing pains. Seeing her love her career to absolutely hating is was hard to see. That love and passion getting overrun by negative thoughts and feelings. It can really affect a person's mental state of mind. I'm glad she has the amazing support of her family.

Fyfe also had a lot of mental hoops to get past because of his mother. He used her actions to guard himself so tightly. Getting Millie in is life really showed him everything he was going to miss out if he didn't figure out how to get past his childhood.

Seeing the two of these characters connect and learn to open up and help each other was amazing. I loved seeing the past characters help and appear in this book. The second epilogue was amazing and Samantha Young wrote an amazing conclusion to this fantastic world. I'm so glad I've been on this journey and I'm looking forward to the next adventure!

Review: Under Loch and Key by Lana Ferguson

Under Loch and Key Under Loch and Key by Lana Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I honestly don't know how Lana Ferguson writes vastly different novels from each other and I love Every. Single. One. Of. Them! Honestly I've never read a monster romance before but I absolutely loved this novel! And also Lana is a great author to start a new genre without diving too deep into new subjects. Omegaverse was first introduced to me with her other novel and these books are just a great starter for newbies like me.

Key is an amazing, pure person. She's been through a rough time with her dad and seeing him slowly lose himself. But she stuck with him and decided to travel across the world to deliver him home and meet the family she's never met.

And Lachlan. He's been through so much and he's a bit defeated, but also still trying so hard to figure out how to save his family.

I loved the mystery and the hunt to find answers in this book. I loved the magic and lore. It was honestly a great novel that I couldn't get enough of and really loved how the story came together overall! I'm so glad I got the chance to read this book and cant wait for more by this amazing author!

Review: Wrath of an Exile by Monty Jay

Wrath of an Exile Wrath of an Exile by Monty Jay
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Jude and Phi are phenomenal. These two were at each other's throats at the beginning but the longer they orbited each other in closer proximity, the more they couldn't resist the pull to each other. I love that both act as the others stability. They are both tortured and are haunted by their past, but they don't pity each other.  They respect each other and help the other grow and that is just beautiful to see.

Monty Jay creates amazing characters and amazing storylines. I'm always in awe once i finish one of their books and I just know I'm going to be transported to a great experience while reading a book written by this author. I can't wait to see the next installment and to grab this paperback for my shrine!

Review: A Reed Brothers Wedding at Lake Fisher by Tammy Falkner

A Reed Brothers Wedding at Lake Fisher A Reed Brothers Wedding at Lake Fisher by Tammy Falkner
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This world Tammy Falkner had created? With the Reeds and the Lake Fisher crew? It seriously brings me so much joy to get submersed into their lives. I've always said the Reeds are characters I wish we had in real life because they are so GOOD and PURE. They do such selfless acts and never ask for anting in return.

I loved this extra bonus story of Gabby and Seth. Seeing everyone together was perfection and all the good deeds that were done was amazing. Plus all the shenanigans because what's a Reed story without the brothers tricks.

I'm so so glad that Falkner gave us this gift and I am determined soon to reread all of the Reed novels. This is my all time feel good series and i need everyone to read and experience the amazingness because I know everyone would love it!

Review: Emperor of Rage by Jagger Cole

Emperor of Rage Emperor of Rage by Jagger Cole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Every time I get a Jagger Cole book, I somehow fall more and more for each new character we get a book for!

Mal and Freya are intense! I loved the cat and mouse game that was played and I love that they both do the same kind of work in regards to computer/hacking, etc.

The twists and turns and secrets this book holds will keep every reader on the edge of their seat to see what will be revealed next! Seriously such an amazing novel! Can't wait for the next book!

Review: The Cursed by Harper L. Woods

The Cursed The Cursed by Harper L. Woods
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Willow and Grey's adventure picks right back up in this second novel after all those answers were quickly answered. I love how much Willow tries so hard to resist her feelings towards Grey. She knows she's in too deep to change her feelings for him, but she's determined to save the people around her even if it means her life will change completely.

And Grey. I do actually love this man even though I know I'm not supposed to. He's been waiting for fifty years for Willow to come, and even though he messed everything up by the way he rushed things, he's determined to find a way for Willow to accept her life with him. I think even if he would have waited, Willow never would have wanted to do what he made her do, but that's besides the point.

The intensity between these two is enough for me to love this book, but then seeing Willow become stronger and more powerful and more in tune with herself is also amazing.

I'm very curious to see if there is another book? Will it be a continuation or other characters view points? I thought this was a duet but wouldn't be mad if there are more. Very glad I decided to dive into this series!

Review: Of Vows and Betrayal br R.G. Angel

Of Vows and Betrayal Of Vows and Betrayal by R.G. Angel
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Diving into another RG Angel novel with Javier and Ophelia was fantastic! I loved the suspense and angsty slow burn between these two.

Ophelia is such an amazing person. She is always going out of her way to help the people she grew up with, rather than let the wealth and fear of her name take over her life and change her personality. She is a true, kind spirit and seriously doesn't have an unkind bone in her body.

Javier is so full of anger and revenge that he is shocked and surprised that Ophelia is a kind and gentle soul. And of course he would be taken with her - everyone in her life loves her without even trying.

I love how real and true this book is. When the characters fight, they don't just make up in a few days. It's truly a grovel and a work in progress and I love that trueness to real life. I'm very intrigued to know if any side characters will be getting their own book and will have to wait and see if it will happen...I would love to see how the other men fall.

So glad I got the chance to read this!

Review: The Coven by Harper L. Woods

The Coven The Coven by Harper L. Woods
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book! Gah I got sucked into it and read it in one day and now I need book 2 ASAP!

Grey and Willow have a chemistry that just won't stop. I love how fierce and strong and fiesty Willow is. She knows what she has to do and while she's not happy, she wants to get it done so she can be with her brother, Ash.

Sing Willow have such passion for life and creation and nature is amazing. She was taught so well by her mother to respect her magic and have balance. But it's such a strange thing having life and death inside her.

Grey is such a mystery. I seriously didn't see the end coming and even though it was rushed, I think we were supposed to be just as confused as Willow was when things were being revealed really really fast.

But honestly that ending still has me in a tailspin! I loved it and all the crazy things that happened. I'm so intrigued to see how things end up between Grey and Willow because this revelation changes so much!

So glad I decided to read this and now I must go buy the pretty books in store!

Review: Rookie Mistake by Maren Moore

Rookie Mistake Rookie Mistake by Maren Moore
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Davis and Zara are on fire! Seriously, the intensity between these two was felt the moment they locked eyes and it never stopped by the last page. I loved how bold Zara is and how she can match Davis in every aspect. She gave it to him and always had a quip back to him and I love that Davis fell for her each and every time she came back at him. Oliver was annoying but he is a typical brother.

I loved Harper and Lily and would love to see their stories but I think this is the end of my favorite series by Maren Moore :( Which is so sad as I could stay in this world Maren made forever.

I'm so glad we got the chance to get this story and I think it was one of the best. Possibly my second favorite! Cant wait to add this to my shrine on my shelf soon!

Review: The Reappearance of Rachel Price by Holly Jackson

The Reappearance of Rachel Price The Reappearance of Rachel Price by Holly Jackson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

* This review will have major spoilers. If you don't want spoilers, don't read.*

This book surprised me in a good way - I couldn't put it down once I started it and finished it in less than 24 hours.

Bel went through some intense and crazy things during this novel. Her life has always been weird with her mother disappearing out of thing air and leaving Bel in a running car in February when she was 2. And then to stir everything up again, a documentary about her mother's disappearance. Only for her mother to mysterious come back after being missing for 16 years. A lot of coincidence that Bel wasn't believing for one bit.

I loved how quick Bel was to find clues and lies, but then also be so oblivious to other things right in front of her face. She was so determined she was right that she couldn't look at the one person in her own house for the past 16 years.

To find out her father, Charlie, blackmailed HIS father, Patrick, to kill his wife, Rachel, is just... a lot to process. That Bel's grandfather kept her mother prisoner in his property for 16 years, and her father wanting to kill her mother because she wasn't under his thumb? Again, blown away. I knew things weren't as they seemed when they were being revealed in this book, but I never guessed it was that twisted and webbed together in the Price family to make Rachel disappear. That takes brains and power and guts and it's a bit scary to think about that manipulation.

But also Charlie? To want to kill his wife because she wasn't getting gaslighted by him anymore? That's craziness. The fact he's gotten away with manipulating everyone in his family. To the fact his brother Jeff said Charlie is what keeps this family running. That's definitely an extraordinary power running through Charlie knowing he has that control over so many people.

So yes this book had me hook, line and sinker. I needed to know how it all ended because it was an amazing novel that kept me guessing from page to page. I really enjoyed it and I'm really glad I read it!

Review: The Girl with No Name by Mickey Miller

The Girl with No Name The Girl with No Name by Mickey Miller
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Mickey Miller is an auto buy author for me and I was so excited to read this new release! This book is definitely different than his other books, but I really enjoyed the realness and in-the-moment vibes this book gives the reader.

This book starts off with Reed's every day normal life. His love for Chicago. His future and aspirations. But each and every person has dreams they would love to live. Most of those dreams don't come true. Reed, with the push of his friend and a girl with no name, suddenly finds himself in an incomprehensible situation.

I found myself jealous of these characters a lot. Living life by the seat of their pants. Just living in the moment. No obligations. No responsibilities. Not that I could live that lifestyle, but it still made me yearn for something like that.

Reed and Luna's journey was inspiring and showed that the most unexpected things can happen in the blink of an eye. It gives readers hope that the right path will eventually come our way, it just might take longer than we want. We might be stuck in our everyday normal, but sooner or later we can get that right moment to really live our passions.

I'm thankful Mickey Miller wrote this deep and thoughtful novel. I wasn't expecting it since I've read his backlist, but I was truly surprised by how much this book impacted me after going through a rough two years. Definitely read this book - I think everyone will really love it!

Review: Daydreamer by Susie Tate

Daydreamer Daydreamer by Susie Tate
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This was a random purchase based off IG reels and I enjoyed it but it wasn't my absolute favorite.

I loved Lucy. She is her own person and she is successful and funny. It doesn't matter if she daydreams too much or can't people very well. Each person is their own and we don't have to be like everyone else on the planet. Should Lucy have gone to work in the corporate world when she's so terrible at it for selfish reasons? No. But again, we all are human and make selfish decisions every day honestly.

Felix had a crappy childhood growing up with a crappy father, so of course he's going to learn crappy behavior and mannerisms from that lifestyle. Does that excuse the way he treated Lucy? 100% not. Should Lucy have forgiven him? Felix showed how much he changed not only to get Lucy back because he genuinely didn't want to be that person, so yes I think it was great she forgave him.

I think the downfall is this book was the lack of commination between these two characters. They were in each other's worlds but as passing ships even though they were together. Once you start seeing someone, why wouldn't all the secrets come out? Why keep them in the dark just for problems to happen because it's bound to come up and be a big issue and trust will be broken.

So I'm glad I read this book after being swayed by the reels. Definitely made by book nerd girl happy!

Review: Imperfect Match by Vikki Jay

Imperfect Match: A billionaire, marriage of convenience romance Imperfect Match by Vikki Jay
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Charles and Daisy are phenomenal! I absolutely love how opposite Daisy is with her sunshine and colors and humor compared to Charles' dark clothes and sarcastic, surly personality. Seeing the two of them together means you never know what will happen and I loved seeing the random conversations they could dive into.

Both of these characters have a lot of deep feelings and memories to unpack and I loved seeing them conquer them at the pace they needed. The tight knit relationships they have with family and friends was amazing to see in action when it was needed.

I also loved that as much as Daisy's feelings grew for Charles, she knew she needed to keep herself happy with her dreams and life goals and made the hard decision she needed to make to achieve it. That takes a strength words cannot describe.

I have been with Vikki Jay since book 1 and she is an auto buy for me! This book was amazing and I'm so glad we got another masterpiece from this author! I can't wait for my shelf trophies and I think everyone needs to pick up this author asap!

Review: Emperor of Wrath by Jagger Cole

Emperor of Wrath Emperor of Wrath by Jagger Cole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Valentine PR. This is my honest review.

Kenzo and Annika's journey is amazing and intense! I love that they have history and have been avoiding contact for five years. Definitely built the suspense!

Annika has had a really hard life and I loved seeing her story on how she survived. She's very rarely afraid of anything so when she IS scared you know it's for a very good reason.

Kenzo is such an intense person who's had to overcome so many obstacles to get where he is now. I loved seeing him get the turn around from Annika over and over again because it definitely kept him on his toes, never knowing what she would do next.

This is very high on my list of favorite books by Jagger and I cant wait to see what happens in the next book!

Review: Outmatched by Samantha Young and Kristen Callihan

Outmatched Outmatched by Kristen Callihan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I've been wanting to reread this for so long and finally just dived right in! I loved it just as much now as I did almost 5 years ago! Rhys and Parker are amazing characters and I loved seeing their growth through this novel. My review from 2019 was really great and I still agree with everything I said haha.

My review from November 3, 2019:
I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Parker is making her own life and working hard for it, so she feels disgusted that she has to hire a fake boyfriend to get a permanent position at her dream job. One of the sponsors won't hire employees unless they show they have strong commitment goals... like being in a serious relationship. It's completely wrong, but Parker is desperate to keep this job.

Rhys had it all as a professional boxer, but after witnessing a match gone wrong, he stopped instantly. Now he's struggling to keep his parents gym they started and he's trying to find a solution that doesn't involve selling it. When he interferes with his brother's plan to get paid to date a rich girl, Rhys finds himself dating her instead.

The longer Rhys and Parker are around each other, the more their attraction grows and grows. But they are just acting, right? Both are going to have to face their past and decide if they want to discover what may be in store for them.

I'm so so glad I got a chance to read this eARC!!! I loved it so much! Both characters are strong minded and so stubborn it was really entertaining to watch them go head to head.

Rhys had a lot of self discovery to get through during this novel. He had a lot of guilt and anger and healing to do, but Parker was good for him. She pushed him and challenged him.

And Parker... I feel really bad about how Fairchild treated her. He's a jerk and a snob and I think it's terrible what Parker went through. She's such a strong, independent person and to have to lower herself to that standard was hard to witness.

This was such a great book and I'm glad I got a chance to read this early! Looking forward to future books by Samantha Young and now I'll go discover some books by Kristen Callihan!

Review: Pack Dutton: Part 2 by Megan Cain (Hannah McBride)

Pack Dutton: Part 2 Pack Dutton: Part 2 by Megan Cain
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Hazel's story with Crew, Kellan, Rhett and Jude was just as fantastic in part 2 as it was in part 1! I love how each character has their own personality and how it all meshes so well with the 5 of them together!

I also love that we get to meet more of the side characters in this book including Pack Stone! And Thane? That was a wonderful surprise that I feel I need more of!

Rhett's parents are awful. I can't stand any of them and wish bad things towards them. Calla needs her story told. I need her to find her HEA because she seems so lost and forcing herself to be what everyone around her wants to be. It breaks my heart.

I'm so glad after all Hazel has gone through, she's in a great place with her pack. She made it through her nightmare to find her dreams come true. I may have had moments where the hornet was rough to read, but I'm so glad I devoured her story and that I'm immersed into this world! I can't wait for the next installment because the overall arch is just getting started and I need to see that system shut down.

Review: The Fabric of Our Souls by K.M. Moronova

The Fabric of Our Souls The Fabric of Our Souls by K.M. Moronova
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This was an interesting book. I actually liked how all of the characters have issues they are dealing with because it made them seemed like normal people. We all have issues, some deeper than others, and seeing it discussed freely in this book was unique.

But because of the setting, I always got the feeling these were teenagers. Instead they are mid to late twenties and I just didn't get that vibe from them.

I also just didn't LOVE this book. I'm not sure if I was supposed to because of the subject type, but Liam and Wynn go from not liking each other to having sex on the same page. It was just an odd relationship (again, because of the setting and topic I'm not surprised) but it just was missing something for me.

Glad I read it so I know what is about but glad I won't have to collect every copy out there.

Born of Blood and Ash Born of Blood and Ash by Jennifer L. Armentrout
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Ash and Sera. Seriously my heart can't handle how much I love these two. The trials they have gone through during this series is more than words can say, and yet JLA gave us an enormous book to do just that. We all know how the ending goes for these two characters but to see the actions and drama unfold gave me shivers and sucked me in completely. Every emotion I felt, every reveal I read, it entrapped me completely and I didn't want it to end.

JLA has given us an amazing book, full of so many things I will definitely have to go back and reread to really absorb all of the information. Readers of this series are going to love this new installment and all of the information that has been revealed to us! I'm very thankful I got the chance to read this and cannot wait for more by this amazing author!

Review: Wicked Serve by Grace Reilly

Wicked Serve Wicked Serve by Grace Reilly
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley and Valentine PR. This is my honest review.

Nikolai and Isabelle are fantastic together! I loved how they met for the summer and really connected and was a bit frustrated with Nik for ghosting her. I'm glad they got a second chance and that Isabelle made Nikolai work for it the next time around.

I'm also glad the secrecy didn't last too terribly long since I'm not really a fan of that trope. I was able to make it through for this book and I'm glad I did.

Both characters are dealing with personal issues in this novel. Some heavy hitters too and things that should have been addressed a long time ago. I'm glad they both have each other in their lives because the only reason they were able to get the help they needed was because the other stepped in and made sure they found the right people to make those positive changes.

I'm glad I got the chance to read this book and I'm sure one day I'll read the rest of the Callahan clans HEA!

Review: Northern Twilight by Samantha Young

Northern Twilight Northern Twilight by Samantha Young
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Callie and Lewis. These two were joined at the hips when they were younger so I'm not surprised they have a convoluted history as grown ups.

I love that Callie went off to France to learn more about baking but her heart will always be in Scotland. She's been through so much in her younger life and she knows exactly what she wants after that traumatic past.

And Lewis. He was definitely a typical 17 year old wondering about a different future because we are all like that. But I think he needed that experience to really understand that no where is going to be home.

Seeing these two as adults and learning to communicate better was magical. It shows that forgiveness is possible but also learning to admit when one made a bad judgment call. They also had a lot of time to make up and relearning each other's likes and dislikes. Yeah they knew the other person pretty well but people are always changing as they grow older.

I loved this story and I'm so glad Samantha Young gave us this next generation story!

Twisted Truths Twisted Truths by P. Rayne
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Obsidian and Ariana's story was fantastic! Seriously, I loved seeing these two together and couldn't stop reading this book. Obsidian has always been intriguing to me since book 1 and I was NOT disappointed once his book became available!

And Ariana is a great person. She wants to do better and live a clean life but of course her family puts her smack dab in the middle of their mess and she put it upon herself to clean it up.

I also loved the Little Mermaid retelling. I find there isn't too many out there so it was a nice surprise to see this story come to life in this dark and twisted way.

I'm so sad to see this series end but I know I can always revisit these characters as much as I want with rereads. I'm so glad I got the chance to read this and I can't wait to add it to my physical library!

Review: Every Wrong You Right by J.E. Parker

Every Wrong You Right Every Wrong You Right by J.E. Parker
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Heidi and Ty's story intrigued me when I discovered Ty learned ASL to talk to Heidi. That alone made me swoon so much because you know he's a keeper to go out of his way to learn a language to communicate to a woman he's attracted to.

I love Heidi's fierce determination to accomplish everything in life. She not going to let anything stop her from doing what she wants to do and I love that so much.

Ty had his demons and he let those control his life which resulted in hurting a lot of other people. But seeing him try to redeem his past wrongs is admirable and shows he's changed so much as a person.

I'm glad I got the chance to read this book and may try to read the rest of the series soon!

Review: Saving the Beast by Pru Schuyler

Saving the Beast Saving the Beast by Pru Schuyler
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Blair and Griffin are amazing! I adore all things Beauty and the Beast and this book is right up with all the other ones I love! I love how beastly but cuddly Griffin is. He has his way on the ice with hockey but besides that he's extremely chill and mature. Once he decided Blair was end game, I love how determination to make sure she never wanted to leave him again.

Blair had goals and she is slaying them. The way she goes out of her comfort zone to help her dad is amazing. She's not afraid of working hard and she's determined to accomplish everything she wants.

This novel was so great and I'm so glad I got the chance to read it! I'm now very tempted to read all of this authors back list!

Review: Beautiful Beast by Neva Altaj

Beautiful Beast Beautiful Beast by Neva Altaj
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Rafael and Vasilisa are now my favorite couple from this author! Seriously, I devoured this book and loved seeing these two together. The way they acted toward each other from the second they met has had me ensnared and I couldn't get enough of them. I was so so sad when this book ended because I just wanted more and more of their life.

I loved that even though Rafael was blown away by Vasilisa's beauty, he didn't make that something known to her. And that he ended up liking her determination to get home and she kept fighting until they had an agreement. Him liking her for her personality was such a beautiful thing to see.

And Vasilisa not even blinking at all of Rafael's scars was fantastic. As she said, she's constantly around men with scars or injuries that she doesn't even see them anymore. And the way he tried to hide from her to not scare her because everyone else in his world flinches or screams when they look at him. This man is ruthless and has learned to harder his heart, so seeing Vasilisa not be fazed was amazing.

I have been a fan of Nava's since book 1, but this book has blown me away and it's definitely my favorite of them all! Doesn't hurt that Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney movie too haha.

Review: The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein

The Giving Tree The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the shortest book I've read probably and the most impacting.  A story about one party who only wants to give to the one they love, while the other party ends up taking everything from them to benefit themselves.  But the tree loves the boy until the end and that shows true love and joy from the tree, that no matter how much the boy wanted, she was willing to give him everything of her.  And yet, when he needed one last thing that didn't involve her sacrifice, she still gave it to him.

So many emotions came from this tiny book and this author did a fantastic job of portraying those just in the dialogue and simple drawings.  I'm glad a friend recommended this to me as it will stay with me for years to come.

Obsession Obsession by Jane Henry
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel. This is my honest review.

Violet and Cain's story was packed full of action, mystery and suspense! This is my first book by Jane Henry and I really enjoyed her writing!

Violet is a woman everyone female should aspire to be. She takes charge of her life and trains to protect herself against anyone wishing her ill. She is determined, strong willed, and so smart. I loved seeing her up against Cain because you just never knew which one was going to win that altercation.

Cain is a man used to getting what he wants, when he wants it, with no questions. He was drastically underprepared for Violet in his life.

I loved that there were 2 missions in this book to really show how well these two characters work well together.

This book was really good and I'm glad I took a chance on reading it!

Review: Walkoff Wedding by Maren Moore

Walkoff Wedding Walkoff Wedding by Maren Moore
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Grant and Addies story is amazing! This whole series is legit a top favorite of mine and I love how much Maren Moore makes this a great world to get sucked into.

I love that Grant was so insistent on meeting ArtGirl when they were talking. You could just feel his excitement and his need to meet the girl he was connecting with online. He definitely jumped into things way faster than Addie did when it came to life altering events, but Grant knew what he wanted and wasnt afraid to go after it.

And seeing Addie open up and flourish into a more confident woman was amazing. She was always pushed aside at home and that made her fold into herself and be shy. I'm so glad Grant helped her gain confidence and awareness of just how awesome she really is.

Auggie is amazing.

Seeing Reece and Lane and everyone was fantastic. Lane is still my guy through 3 books!

I love love love this series and I'm so happy Grant got his HEA! Not sure if anymore books are happening in this series but these 3 so far are must reads!

Review: Daddy's Little Librarian by Lila Fox

Daddy's Little Librarian Daddy's Little Librarian by Lila Fox
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The author kindly gifted me this book and I will be meeting her in just a week!  I chose this book because of Ava's job and it's number 17 in the series, but I didn't feel lost at all with getting introduced to characters and the world building that has been created for 17 books prior.

I love that Sean was instantly drawn to Ava the first moment he saw her and he was determined, but patient, to get Ava to warm up to him.  He knew nothing short of Ava not being interested in him was going to stop his pursuance of her, and since Ava WAS interested in her own shy way at the beginning, it was great to see him on his path to getting his happily ever after.

I love that Ava was able to build her new life after what she went through with her ex.  She got out and was living her life again and that is just an achievement all on it's own.  I like that she was cautious with Sean even though the attraction was there because she was leery.  Shows that she was still growing as a person.

I'm glad I got a chance to read this and may eventually fall down the rabbit hole to read the other books in the series!

Review: Monstrous Urges by Jagger Cole

Monstrous Urges
by Jagger Cole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Valentine PR. This is my honest review.

Taylor and Drazen!  This book was packed full of action, adventure, intensity - the whole works honestly!  I legit couldn't put this book down and basically finished it in one sitting!

I love how amazing Taylor is.  She has worked her way to the top tier lawyer practice and she's tenacious, determined, and so smart.  Seeing her go head to head with some of the most influential people in the world is inspiring.  And that includes Drazen.

Drazen is so revenge motivated at the beginning of this book.  But seeing him fall more and more for Taylor was amazing.  He definitely fought it at first but getting snared by Taylor's aura was only a matter of time.

The mystery of Taylor's memory loss?  The battle of their families?  The big secret?  All of it was brilliant!  I loved this so much and I'm so glad we finally got these two's story - it was perfectly executed and I am sad it's now all done.  Jagger knocked it out of the park and I can't wait for the next one!

Review: Silver Wings Golden Games by Evie Marceau

Silver Wings Golden Games Silver Wings Golden Games by Evie Marceau
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Sabine and Wolf's adventure continues in this second book when Sabine is forced to be the fiance of Rian and ignore her feelings toward Wolf, while also hating Wolf after what he said and did in book 1.  And this book was a good continuation after the debut, but I hate tug of war novels.  She says she hates Wolf, she really loves him.  She kisses Rian, when she really wants to kiss Wolf.  Wolf loves her, but keeps her away for her safety.

If it was just a little bit of the tug of war, I wouldn't mind, but it was just the entire book with one lie after another, one white truth after another, and I got very tired of it all by 40%.  I loved seeing Sabine get more confident in her godkissed ability though.

But then the ending of Sabine getting taken and Wolf not knowing who she is... I'm just tired of them not getting a moment's of happily ever after before something comes along to ruin it.  So I'm not sure if I will continue with book 3 when it's released and I'm not sure if I will keep the SE set that is to come out later this year.  It's just a lot to deal with and I don't have the patience for it.

That being said, I did enjoy the story, I liked the surprises that happened, I like the characters.  It just isn't amazing for me to want to own this in print I think.

Review: White Horse Black Nights by Evie Marceau

White Horse Black Nights White Horse Black Nights by Evie Marceau
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sabine and Wolf's story was very interesting and unique!  I got this book because a book box is doing a SE to see if I will like it enough to own it and I'm so glad I got introduced to this story!

I adore Sabine.  She is a spit fire and even though she's very new to the world after being basically caged up for all of her life, she is so worldly when trying to escape Wolf on their travel to her new cage.  She has a lot of fire and motivation to be free and I love seeing her try to outmaneuver her way through every obstacle she can think of.

Wolf is a harder character to love, though I do like him a lot.  He's just duty bound to Rian and lets that cloud his thoughts rather than living his own life and doing things that HE wants to do.  Seeing him let go with Sabine those few times were amazing and I just wish he had the courage to do what he wanted in life rather than follow orders.

Sabine's godkissed ability is amazing and I love it so much.  She is such a gentle soul and never takes things or living beings for granted.

To say I am intrigued is an understatement and I downloaded book 2 right away to see how this adventure goes into book 2!  I'm glad I decided to dive right into this and I think a lot of readers would enjoy this story!

Review: Grumpy Goalie by Delancey Stewart

Grumpy Goalie Grumpy Goalie by Delancey Stewart
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This was a fun and cute novel. Stephano and Hillary are so completely opposite that they work so well together. I love Hillarys bubbly personality and I definitely love Stephano's grumpiness.

I think their communication could have been way better and honestly? I didn't like Stephano's mom. She was way too judgy towards Hillary and snubbed her because she didn't live in Italy instead of being happy her son found someone to be with. I hate judgemental mothers because of my own history. Plus Stephano almost let his mother make his life decisions when he is an adult.

Anyway, I thought this book was good and I'm glad I read it!

Review: Reckless by Lauren Roberts

Reckless Reckless by Lauren Roberts
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The way this book just picks up moments after book 1 finished is amazing. Action, adventure, betrayal, conflicting feelings, survival. This book had it all and so much more, especially the intensity between Paedyn and Kai. These two have been gravitating around each other for so long I'm shocked they are still able to resist each other. Both have their purpose in life that had nothing to do with each other, but the pull between them is unignorable.

Pae had been through so much in such a short amount of time and she didn't just get to grieve for everything that she's been through. And during this journey she will doesn't get to process, but keeps getting more and more thrown at her. Honestly I'd give up if I were her. Which makes me a terrible martyr so thank goodness Pae is nothing like me.

And Kai keeps putting duty above everything else and I'm about to knock a few of his teeth loose. Why does he own his loyalty to a family who is only raising him to be a weapon? I think it's unfair and for him to sacrifice everything he wants for his duty is baloney.

So much happens between Kai and Paedyn in this book but not a whole lot else occurs to be honest. Which I'm completely okay with because I love the moments between these two so much.

I'm bummed I have to wait for book 3 and can see myself rereading the whole series to get caught back up for that long awaited day. I'm glad I dived into this second installment and I can't wait to see how it ends!

This book was okay. Not great but not awful. I felt a bit disconnected with the characters and so many things randomly came out of nowhere it felt to me, so I was a bit jerked around almost.

Spencer grew a lot in this book and I really loved seeing that. Joselyn was a bit chaotic but I liked that she decided to put herself first after all the crap Elliot out her through.

Review: Veiled Truths by A.M. Kusi

Veiled Truths Veiled Truths by A.M. Kusi
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author.  This is my honest review.

After devouring this book in two sittings, I am so ecstatic that the MC Pirates are about to get their stories!  I've loved these grizzly men since we first met them and cannot wait until all of these men get their stories and HEA!

Also, if you find yourself getting deja vu reading this novel, you may have read Carter and Piper's story in "A Book A Day Presents Color Theory 3: Let Love Live! Anthology.  A.M. Kusi had their story as a short story there and I had forgotten that at first, ha.

I love seeing Piper come to life in this novel.  Her parents are scum and the way she grew up was awful.  I'm so glad Carter came into her life and made her realize that happiness is out there and also being strong for oneself is obtainable and needed to survive.  She really grew into a person she is proud of and I love that so much.

Carter also getting his revenge for his false sentence?  Perfection.  The end of the book with Fred?  I was cackling with revenge at how perfect it was!

I'm so glad I got the chance to read this novel and will, as always, consume anything this author creates, because I love these worlds so much!  I urge anyone who's thinking about diving into their books to do so asap because once you dive, you won't want to resurface!

Review: Hate at First Sight by Mickey Miller

Hate at First Sight Hate at First Sight by Mickey Miller
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Amelia and Jack's story was very entertaining, fun the moment they met, all the way to Costa Rico and back to Chicago.  I was able to relate to Amelia in certain ways throughout this book.  I was also jealous of her going on a yoga retreat in a slice of paradise.

Jack is a little too conceited for my taste.  He acts like a grumpy CEO billionaire but then also says certain things that make him look like a wanna be surfer.  The mix didn't really work for me.  And Amelia's hot and cold about her opinion of him was a bit much to keep up with and got a bit old after awhile.

I am glad Amelia was able to figure out her life after all the unexpected news hit her.  She definitely smart and capable of taking care of herself and I liked seeing her strength.

Review: Billionaire Grump by Julie Capulet

Billionaire Grump Billionaire Grump by Julie Capulet
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

Alexander and Ivy's story is so fast and intense.  These two fell for each other three moment they saw each other and they never slowed down after that moment.  I would never do any of the things they did but I'm sure it happens for some people in real life.

And Alexander?  He is so much.  He steam rolled Ivy once they got home and my head is still reeling from everything he threw at her in one second.

Josh was insanely reckless with his decision but I knew Roy did some sketchy things to obtain that money so I'm glad Alexander came swooping in when he did to save the day.  Because Roy totally deserved that shake down!

I can't imagine having the amount of wealth these characters do, so to me this is all a dream of a perfect life.  I know it exists out there, I'll just never get to experience it except through fictional books, ha!

I'm glad I got the chance to read this book and meet these characters!

Dragon's Oath Dragon's Oath by Sophie Stern
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Peggy and Cameron have an unexpected meeting that changed their lives forever. Peggy is extremely kind and brave. I'm not sure if I could have done what she did, to be honest. To listed to a complete stranger who scared the crap out of me? Knowingly walking into dragon territory to fulfill the oath? Yeah I'd be terrified.

This book was extremely short and dived right into the story. I'm glad I grabbed it for free to see how this dragon story went and I may see about getting the rest of the series at a later date!

Review: Ancients by Kathryn Moon

Ancients Ancients by Kathryn Moon
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This final book was a really great conclusion to the series. I had a harder time with the two middle books, but the way the Ancients were introduced and how the final solution panned out, I really liked the way it was all finished.

Joanna is pretty much a badass. I loved that she started as a person who had no magic to a really strong, impressive witch. Plus she is just able to connect with almost everyone in her life and she always wanting to help. The true philosophy of a librarian.

I loved how the ancients came together and were willing to do a major change to find a balance in everyone's lives. One of the best endings I've seen!

I'm glad I decided to read this series and I'm glad I bought the original covers to meet the author in July!

Review: Scrivens by Kathryn Moon

Scrivens Scrivens by Kathryn Moon
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Seeing Joanna get to know her family in this book was sweet. But it felt like she was torn between her coven and her family at times and that she needs a better balance. Plus some of the Scriveners are definitely abusing their magic which was disgusting.

I love that Joanna's magic is so powerful. She is definitely a wordsmith and can create the strongest message and I love seeing that occur. I don't think she understands how strong she is, which would be a bad thing is she wasnt Joanna. I don't think she could intentionally hurt anyone, even though she was tempted in this book.

Very intrigued to see how the last book goes and hopefully this coven can get a break on the craziness that has happened since Joanna joined!

Review: Warriors by Kathryn Moon

Warriors Warriors by Kathryn Moon
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Book 2 in this series was okay.  Joanna shows she's a powerful witch and her magic has no limits, which I love so much.  She goes from thinking she has no magic to a powerful force in a very short time.

Surprisingly, I really found myself loving Bryce in this book which is not a character I thought I would enjoy.  But watching Bryce with the kids was fantastic!

The connection between Joanna, Aiden, Callum and Isaac is really strong and their devotion to one another is great.  Their coven can withstand a lot of blocks which is good since they have a lot going on in their lives.

Review: Written by Kathryn Moon

Written Written by Kathryn Moon
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Book about a librarian? Yes, please! Joanna's pure reaction to the new library she is working at is my reaction every time I go to a library. I loved seeing her amazement and excitement because I know exactly how all of those moments feel.

Callus, Aiden and Issac's reactions towards Joanna was so great. They all were instantly drawn to her and they wanted to protect her and be with her at all times. What girl would say no to that?

I love how Joanna's magic was finally revealed to her and that it is such a Joanna moment. To write her magic and it comes true. I need that bit of magic into my life haha.

With both covens defeating The Hollow, I loved the action and the struggle they all went through for their success. And that even though the guys wanted to protect Joanna, she was essential to their success and they stopped coddling her by the end.

I definitely enjoyed this story and I'm excited to continue the series with the next book

Review: The Alpha of Bleake Isle by Kathryn Moon

The Alpha of Bleake Isle The Alpha of Bleake Isle by Kathryn Moon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Dragons and alphas and suspense - I love this would and this story!  I love that Mairwen blossomed into her true self once Ronson chose her as his omega and gave her the respect and love and attention she deserved.  Being verbally abused her whole life really shaped her into a shell of herself.  I'm glad she had books to hide in, but I'm even more glad she got Ronson's attention when she did.

I love how strong and smart Mairwen is.  She is shaping their world into a better place with each moment of confidence she gains.  And I know I'm gushing about Mairwen more at the moment, but she is an amazing character and I loved seeing her growth into the leader she is.

Ronson is amazing and fantastic as well and I love how much he dots on his omega.  Once he realized her amazingness, his support only grew for her.

I love Niall and hope he will get his own book someday! The dry sense of humor and his quiet judgment is the best lol.

So glad I dived into this and will be getting my copy signed in July!

Review: The Reality of Everything by Rebecca Yarros

The Reality of Everything The Reality of Everything by Rebecca Yarros
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book has floored me. Honestly I didn't think I would love Morgan's book this much after all the love I've given for the other characters. But Morgan's story is so real. So gutwrenching. So inspiring.

She has loved the same man for eight years with barely a hope to get that love returned. And then she had to watch everyone in her life get their happily ever after while she got lost and forgotten by all of them. I very much understand how and why she got her anxiety and grief and why it wouldn't go away. The scene where she told everyone exactly how she felt about them in her life? I'll never forget it because that was so REAL and TRUE and it really resonated with me.

And seeing Morgan with Jackson? Pure magic. And seeing Jackson pursue Morgan each and every time? Perfection. And the times Jackson laid EVERYTHING out to Morgan? Telling her everything he was thinking and feeling? I need a man like that in my life asap. Because that is an adult who knows what he wants and isn't afraid to let anyone in his life know.

The scene of Morgan driving through a freaking hurricane to save Finley and Vivian? I got goosebumps. It was so insane. The truck floating away in the ocean?

Gah I have no words for this book I seriously love it so much and I'm so glad I finally read it after a much needed binge read. This book will stay with me for a long time because it's so emotional and real and amazing.

Review: Hallowed Ground by Rebecca Yarros

Hallowed Ground Hallowed Ground by Rebecca Yarros
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book is so full of angst, emotion, no communication, love, and frustration. In a nut shell that's what is in this book. I was so excited to see this was Ember and Josh's story again and couldn't wait to see how things are going for them. But, boy, this is a hard book to stomach. Both of these characters go through so much during this time period and I had a rough time in some parts. I'm sure this is real life situations with with life military families. And if that's the case? I have no idea how people can handle these strong emotions in a daily basis.

So basically, I myself am not made to deal with this lifestyle and I commend every family who goes through this torture.

Every scene where Josh makes a decision about their life without Ember? Awful. A relationship is about communication and trust and Josh wasn't doing any of that. Ember is so much stronger than I will ever be and I'm glad Josh has her in his life because not many women would put up with that.

So I'm glad these two had another book. I'm glad they figured it their issues. But I'm probably not going to read this again because that was more issues to go through than I cared for.

I'm very excited to dive into #5!

Review: Beyond What is Given by Rebecca Yarros

Beyond What is Given Beyond What is Given by Rebecca Yarros
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Grayson has intrigued me since the first moment we met his grunting personality, and I'm so happy we got his story!  I loved seeing him fall for Sam, but it was hard to watch him be split between the two worlds he lives in.  I'm not mad, because his devotion to NC is what makes him, him, but I wish he did a better job explaining to Sam how he felt and didn't put her through the ringer so much.

Sam is a fighter and I love her spirit.  She had her moments of sadness, as any human being, but in the end she fought for so many things that she wanted in her life and she has no regrets, and that is so admirable.

Seeing these two and their story gives hope to so many readers in the world I feel.  I'm so glad I decided to reread these first 3 books because I forgot just how much I loved this world that Yarros has created!

Review: Eyes Turned Skyward by Rebecca Yarros

Eyes Turned Skyward Eyes Turned Skyward by Rebecca Yarros
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Getting Jaggers story was amazing.  I'm not sure how I saw him falling for a girl after the playmaker he was in book 1, but he was a whole different person this time around.  Getting into flight school really made him focus on his life and then saving Paisley's life have him the drive he needed to get serious about everything.  I loved seeing this version of him.  I also loved how over confident he was in flight school against Will Carter (I'm using his whole name since he was referred to by so many versions in this book).

Also I love the fact that Paisley is going to school in library sciences as that is what I got my degree in!  Not many books about those majors so it warms my heart.

But my heart does break for Paisley.  She's in this bubble with everyone around her and no one will treat her like she's her own person.  The amount of conversations she tries to have with her mom and Will frustrate me and make me so sad for her.  They need to understand that they can be scared but they can't control her decisions.  I'm so glad she started to stick up for herself and that she had Jagger.  Though her keeping this giant secret from him was so wrong because he should have had the knowledge that something could happen.  I'm not sure if he would have done those things with her, but he needed to know what could happen to be better prepared.  That was extremely wrong of her.  His secret wasn't a life threatening secret so she couldn't even use that in her favor.

I'm so glad I reread this and revisited these characters.  I'm extremely glad I didn't cry during this one, but I'm sure Rebecca Yarros will make up for that in the next book lol.

Review: Full Measures by Rebecca Yarros

Full Measures Full Measures by Rebecca Yarros
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The  beginning of this book had me sobbing but I'm not really surprised anymore that Rebecca Yarros will bring me to tears.  She's ridiculously harsh and talented like that.  I have not been in a position that Ember was in, but I FELT like I was her going through the amount of turmoil the way Rebecca brought it to life.

I completely resonated with Ember in this book.  How she chose to grieve, or not grieve.  How she took charge being the oldest child.  How she allowed herself to skip the reflection she needed to take care of her family.  That's something I would do in her shoes and it just hit home to me.

Josh is amazing.  Wonderful.  He was there every time Ember needed to let her emotions out and he knew what she could handle heading versus not heading.  Do I agree about the truths he kept hidden?  No.  Not at all.  Do I understand why he did it?  Absolutely.

This book is full of emotions, from grief to ecstatic and I was there every second of the way.  I finally have all 5 books in the series so I'm diving in and hope I don't be too heartbroken by the end of this binge!

Review: Rematch by Tammy Falkner

Rematch Rematch by Tammy Falkner
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author.  This is my honest review.

Every.  Single.  Book.  Tammy Falkner writes, I devour.  Seriously, I have no idea what she puts in these books, but I can't get enough of them.  With this book to officially connect the Reeds and the Fishers, I knew it was going to be amazing.  Because all of her books are, but this one?  THIS ONE?  I went through every emotion I possess and I loved every single word of this novel.

Seth is fantastic.  He's been through so much and he has learned so much from his childhood to then being with the Reeds.  Basically he's perfection in my mind ha.  But he is so patient and thoughtful and emotional.  I loved seeing him pursue Gabby over and over again.

And Gabby is such a strong woman and I loved seeing her take care of herself without needing someone to protect her.  The way she got G. L. to cower was fantastic and I was so proud of her as a fellow woman.  She did protest WAY too much that you knew she was lying the second it happened.  And I loved seeing her relationship with her family blossom throughout this book.

The Reeds are fantastic and still have the goodness about them that they had in their own stories.  I've said this before, but we need the Reed family to be real because we need more amazing, selfless people in this world to help others.

And the Fishers were magnificent, especially Pops.  That man is hilarious and I can't help but love him so much.

So, yes, I devoured this book even though I wanted to savor it.  This book has DEFINITELY shown me that I want to reread the entire backlog of Tammy Falkners books, BUT you 1,000% do not need to reread to enjoy this book.  Tammy was able to flawlessly revisit this world again without feeling lost or confused and that is talent not many authors have.  Especially because it's been awhile since I've visited these characters, but the second I opened this book, I was right back in it with no issues whatsoever.

I am so glad another book was released to see these amazing people again and I'm so glad I got to read this!

Review: Midnight Whispers by P. Rayne

Midnight Whispers Midnight Whispers by P. Rayne
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author.  This is my honest review.

This series - I honestly can't say enough how much I am enjoying P Rayne's novels and how intense they get!  This series full of dark fairy tales is wonderful and I love each new character couple we are introduced to.

Nero and Cinder are amazing together, but the secrets they are both hiding from do come between them fairly frequently.  I love how determined Cinder is to go out on her own and stop being bullied by her step-family.  I also love how she's not ashamed about her jobs but actually blossoms from them because it brings some joy to her life.  She took a tense situation and made it hers and I love that so much.

Nero is definitely not as dark and moody and grumpy as his other brothers, and that was the biggest surprise for me honestly ha.  These Voss brothers are known for their...attitudes, but having Nero be not as dark was fantastic.  I also love the intense way he focuses on Cinder throughout the book!

I really loved seeing these two work through their secrets and figure out their feelings.  I'm excited for Obsidian's story next, but will also be sad that it will be the last one in the series!

Mine to Gain: An Ex's Brother Single Dad Sports Romance Mine to Gain: An Ex's Brother Single Dad Sports Romance by Maggie Rawdon
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Revisiting these characters is always amazing.  I loved diving into Cooper and Trix's story.  Lizzy was also amazing!

The mystery and suspense had me on the edge of my seat, I wasnt able to pick the right suspect even though I had suspicions about multiple characters.  So I was very happy to be surprised with the reveal.

Rob annoyed the crap out of me.  He was so entitled and a snob and I so wasn't there for that.  He definitely needed to focus on his own problems.

After the ending of this book I'm really hoping Ramsey will be next because he went through some things on this novel and I need to see how HEA!

I'm glad I got the chance to read this novel and know so many readers are going to devour this!
