Review: Love Chaos Roommate up for Grabs by Ute Jackle

Love Chaos Roommate up for Grabs Love Chaos Roommate up for Grabs by Ute Jackle
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley.  This is my honest review.

I gotta admit, Luca really annoyed me this whole novel.  I'm actually surprised I finished it, but I wanted to know what happened in the end.  Luca was very passive - she let everyone walk all over her and steam roll her into things she didn't want.  I wanted her to grow a back bone and stand up for herself, but she really didn't throughout the entire novel and that just really pissed me off, to be honest.

Ben was also very aloof and flaky.  He never said what he was thinking, always skulking away, and it was just a bit much for these two to act the way they did, yet be attracted to each other and not tell one another.

So I'm glad I got around to reading this, but I definitely won't be re-reading this story again.  Maybe another reader will enjoy this storyline better than I did, though.

Review: Scavenge the Stars by Tara Sim

Scavenge the Stars Scavenge the Stars by Tara Sim
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.

I've never read or watched The Count of Monty Cristo, so maybe that's why I couldn't really connect with the story? I loved the concept and I liked when Amaya was determined to get her life back. I can't imagine living that life for 7 years, so I really admire her.

Cayo's story wasn't really interesting me that much and I found myself skimming his chapters. And because of that, I probably missed a few key points that I needed.

So sadly, this was an okay book for me, but I'm glad I got the chance to read it and I'm sure there are many readers who will love this story!

Review: Corrupting Ivy by Anne-Marie Davis

Corrupting Ivy: An Age-Gap, AntiHero Romance Corrupting Ivy: An Age-Gap, AntiHero Romance by Ann-Marie Davis
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

This book packed a punch and now I'm sitting here a bit shell shocked on everything that happened! I loved this book, and then I feel a bit disturbed considering everything that happened on why I loved it so much. It's a very emotional rollercoaster I'm going through right now!

Randall. I know we aren't supposed to love him - he's Dark, disturbed, psychotic. But boy did I fall down the tunnel of loving Randall and his protectiveness and dark obsession. I wouldn't want my own Randall in real life but reading his viewpoint and seeing his reaction toward Ivy was fantastic!

Poor Ivy. She's really been through some terrible things and if I were her, I don't think I could get past any of it. I'm surprised she's not seeing a therapist to help her through everything she's seen and been through. She is one tough chick though, and I love that she never gives up, even though that might be the easiest thing to do in the moment.

I'm really glad I decided to give this book and author a try! I'll be in the lookout for more by Davis!

Review: Savage Heir by Jagger Cole

Savage Heir Savage Heir by Jagger Cole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Oh my... I honestly think this book just newfangled my favorite Jagger Cole novel of all time. And I've read ALL of his books and have loved many, but this one takes the lead!

I absolutely loved Ilya and Tenley. I loved how intense and powerful Ilya is and I love that Tenley doesn't back down from him. Sure, she leaves and regroups, but she doesn't let him win all of the arguments and she always fights back.

I also adore Misha and Lukas, so I'm really excited to get their stories!

This book had everything and more for me and I devoured it in one sitting. I was completely stunned when I saw how many hours passed by - that's how much I was entranced by this novel!

I'm really excited for everyone to get to read this on Sept 2nd and fall in love with everybody to do with this book like I have!

Review: Grand Love by J.C. Hawke

Grand Love Grand Love by J.C. Hawke
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

I'm still amazed that this is a debut author with her debut series! J.C. Hawke did a wonderful job sucking me into this story and falling in love with these amazing characters! Mind you, I got super annoyed with Mason and Nina not communicating like they should and making a lot of mistakes along the way, but that made it feel 100% real.

I think the part of this series and book that I love the most is the close knit friendships that these characters have. Worth everything that hairbrush at the end of book one, Nina may have been struggling, but she was surrounded by so many people who love her and helped her along the way.

There were a lot of surprises in this book that I was really happy with, and some that I was sad about. I really didn't predict anything throughout this book, so everything was a surprise for me and I really enjoyed that.

I'm really glad I discovered this author and I can't wait for the next masterpiece!

Review: The Italian Dom by N.J. Adel

The Italian Dom The Italian Dom by N.J. Adel
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

This is my second book by this author and I'm just as speechless this time as I was the first time at how INTENSE this story is. These stories are definitely not for the faint of heart and I'm always blown away by how deep and dark they are.

Nicky has been through a nightmare. How she's not crazy, I don't know, but I admire her determination and her passion, even though she's always so angry. I don't blame her anger or need for revenge. I do think she is not listening to her sister as well as she should and treating Lina like a child who doesn't know what she wants, but that might be the older, protective sister in her?

Dom has also had a terrible childhood and I see why he would be the only one who could get thrift to Nicky. He has his own demons, he is a demon to many, so to see him so enamored worth Nicky and how he was obsessed with her was a bit sweet. ... Who knew I would say that sentence. These books make me go a bit mentally insane when I do and think about it...!

I'm very interested to see what the next book brings and what Nicky's decision is because I can only imagine the drama and the tension that is about to happen!

Review: Dirty Little Secret by Alexis Winter

Dirty Little Secret Dirty Little Secret by Alexis Winter
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Embers and Ashes Promotions. This is my honest review.

I really adored Theo and Wren. Their work relationship was awesome when Wren would put Theo in his place and tell him exactly how he was acting. And I loved the sexual tension between these two.

I do wish they had talked about how they felt towards one another right away instead of avoiding that talk, though. Such wasted time.

And as much as I love Wrens personality and her niceness, she did everything wrong with her ex. My mind went to some bad places, which thankfully didn't happen, but man she needed to get a little harsher with him. Borrow some of Theo's no nonsense attitude!

I'm glad I got the chance to read this novel and I look forward to more by this author!

Review: The Divine Rune by G. Bailey

The Divine Rune The Divine Rune by G. Bailey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author.  This is my honest review.

Oh, the ending of a terrific series!  I'm sad to see Dae go, but I loved this ending and everything that happened.  I seriously flew through this novel and I enjoyed every action packed scene that occurred.

Dae is one tough chick and NEVER gives up, no matter how many obstacles are in her way.  And she is so selfless and has one mission in her sights that she is going to achieve at all costs.

Sebastian, Seth, Finn and Ryker are fantastic characters, along with Mossy as well.  I love how much they trust Dae and how protective they are, but also how they let her be the powerful woman that she is at the same time.

As always, I love the epilogues that happened at the end of the novel, and, as always, I want THOSE character's stories now haha.  It's never ending with me, I tell ya.

This is a fantastic series, so if you haven't read it, it is a must read!  I'm so glad I got to experience this world and these characters :)

Review: The Newspaper Nanny by Maren Moore

The Newspaper Nanny The Newspaper Nanny by Maren Moore
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

I devoured this book within hours - I couldn't put it down! Liam and Juliet are fantastic and the attraction between the two of them is undeniable. I love you instantly Juliet clicked with Liam's daughters and how sweet she is to her Nana.

Liam has a tendency to lay out when backed into a corner before really thinking about what he is doing. Twice he found himself desperate and ran after Juliet after he made the wrong decision in the heat of the moment. To me that's two times to many, but Juliet is a better person than I am.

Liam's daughters are sweet and adorable and I feel in love with them. My favorite moment was when they met everyone at the senior home!

I'm so glad I got the chance to read this story!

Review: Wild With You by J.H. Croix

Wild With You Wild With You by J.H. Croix
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions.  This is my honest review.

I hate the snow, I hate being cold, and I need to remind myself of this every time I read J.H. Croix's novels about Alaska because each time I envision the beautiful landscape, I want to move there.  That is how wonderful Croix's description of this state makes me want to experience it for myself, but I know the cold would be miserable haha.

I loved Madison and Graham.  I love how Madison took a chance to go to Alaska and how strong she was against her parents.  She has a great ethical, moral standpoint and I admire her for standing up for herself.  And the fact that she went from living a certain lifestyle to completely different, and she did it so confidently and I just really love her.  Plus I love the way she loves her dog -  that is always a plus for me!

And Graham is so adorable with his daughter.  Seeing him try to figure out a teenage girl is hilarious, but he tries so hard and you have to love him for that.  I would have liked to have seen more scenes with him fighting fires and getting a little more involved with his job, but I'm okay that we didn't get that viewpoint as much.

I really enjoyed this novel and I cannot wait to explore this new series of J.H. Croix!!

Review: The Bonds We Break by Becca Steele

The Bonds We Break The Bonds We Break by Becca Steele
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

I gotta admit, I didn't think I would like this book that much because I loathed Jessa in the previous books. But Becca Steele is a great author and really made me fall in love with Jessa during this novel, so I shouldn't have worried!

I really loved seeing this other side of Cassius. He's the jokester of the group but everyone always has another side when they are by themselves, and we get to see this side of him in this book.

I also really enjoyed seeing these two slowly fall for each other. They really didn't have romantic feelings for each other at the beginning but watching that bloom and get stronger, as confusing as it was for them, was amazing and I loved every second.

Now, I'm really really hoping that it will be Zayde's story! I've been enamored with him since book one and I've waited so not patiently, so I'm crossing my fingers he's next because I cannot wait!

I'm really glad I discovered this author and this series and I cannot wait for the next book!

Review: When We Were Reckless by Emery Rose

When We Were Reckless When We Were Reckless by Emery Rose
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

I have been a dedicated fan of these characters from the beginning, so I was extremely excited to dive into Jesse's story. I've always struggled with best-friends-sibling storylined because they ALWAYS hide their relationship from family and always hide their true feelings from each other. This book did follow that normal set up, so it took me a little longer to get into the story than I had hoped.

However, I love Quinn. This girl has been through SO MUCH in her short life and yet she is still living her life to the fullest. I read about amazing characters like her and can only wish to be half as ambitious as them.

Jesse has had a rough go at it, and he's kinda given up. I'm really glad that Quinn exploded into his life and helped him through that time to help him realize what he really wants.

I'm glad I got the chance to read this book. Hopefully Gideon's story will be next!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Oh, I so love this series and these characters! I'm really sad this is the end, but I'm so glad we finally got Piper's story. And I know for sure I will be binging this series sometime sim in the future.

Piper and Maverick are adorable and so cute together. They just click with each other and they complete each other so well.  I love that Maverick is a male romance author and seeing him go through his writers block makes it feel 1,000% real.

And Piper baking up a storm is fantastic to read about and seeing her come up with creative recipes was wonderful. I also loved how each of them have their own niches and they still find a way to be with each other and support each other. A true relationship.

Of course, I loved the seniors and the ducks and chickens. I will sincerely miss reading about that crazy place and their shenanigans haha.

I'm so glad I got the chance to read this book and this series, and, as always, I'm already anticipating the next masterpiece by this author!

Give Me a Reason Give Me a Reason by A.L. Jackson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Valentine PR. This is my honest review.

I absolutely, 100% adore this book and these characters! Eden, Trent, and Gage stole my heart and had me in tears, both happy and sad, thriving this entire book.

The instant attraction between Eden and Trent was intense and had me holding my breath on what they were going to do with all that tension between them.

And Gage. Sweet Gage. He grabbed ahold of my emotions the first moment we met him and he only got more adorable the more we saw him. I absolutely adored him!

I love the authors writing style in this book. Sorry, concise, emotional statements that impacted my heart. I seriously felt like I was having the emotions and thoughts instead of the characters.

This story will stick with me for a long time and I am so glad I got the chance to read this novel!

Review: Winning the Cowboy by Kennedy Fox

Winning the Cowboy Winning the Cowboy by Kennedy Fox
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Kenzi and Grayson have been on my highly anticipated couples to see what is going on with them. They have been a much talked about pair, and seeing them finally come head to head about what is going on with them was very satisfying.

From the beginning of the novel, I knew exactly what had happened to make Kenzi "hate" Grayson. I do wish that she just told him what was making her mad rather than keeping it bottled up for 5 years. A lot of that tension could have been released in a better activity.

I love Grayson! Instead of letting his most horrible event change him, he made a life changing decision that ended up being the best thing for him: coming to Circle B. And he is such a good guy, and he never gives up. Especially with Kenzi. There is only so much rejection a person can take, but not Grayson.

I'm really glad this story is finally here and that we get the full story of what is up with these two crazy characters. I'm very intrigued to see how the next book pans out, given who is about and what occurred with that character during this novel.

This is a must read series! Start it now :)

I'm realizing that this series is just not for me.  I silently suffered through book 1, and I was really hoping that this book would kick off with action and excitement, but I was sadly disappointed.  I really wanted to like both, or either, character, but it was just kinda blah for me all the way through.

I am glad I got the chance to read this series, and I'm sure that other readers will fall in love with the storyline, but I am not one of those readers.

Review: The Queen's Assassin by Melissa de la Cruz

The Queen's Assassin The Queen's Assassin by Melissa de la Cruz
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from Edelweiss.  This is my honest review.

The beginning of this book was a bit hard for me to get through, I'll be honest.  If the big twist didn't happen, practically at the end of the novel, I would have starred this review lower, but that reveal was a game changer and changed the whole aspect of this storyline.

Shadow is an ambitious character, but it seems like she causes a lot of problems for the most part.  Cal is ruthless and I feel bad for him, being put in this position because of a deal his father made when he was a child.  The two of them were awkward and honestly not very interesting, but I skimmed through most of it to discover what was really happening.

I was also given an eARC of book #2, so I am going to read that one next, and hopefully now that I have all of the details, it might go better than my experience with book #1.

Review: There with You by Samantha Young

There with You There with You by Samantha Young
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Thane and Regan are amazing! When I found out this book was about them, I knew I was going to love it.

We only got an idea about Regan from Robyn's perspective, which was very much one-sided, so I'm glad we are able to actually see who Regan really is. And I gotta say, I really love her. She's sweet and kind and so strong.

Also, I think what their mom did to them their whole life was pretty messed up. Both Regan and Robyn (and their dad) make excuses for their mom, but she's really advising them mentally and see does need to get professional help instead of everyone being "oh, that's just how mom is..."

Thane is great. I love seeing him with his two kids and how protective he is of them. He truly loves them and they have a great family. I do think he was focused on unimportant things when it came to him and Regan, and he did say some pretty cruel things to her. I'm not sure I would have forgiven him for some of the terrible things he said, so I guess Regan is more forgiving than I am.

I think my favorite parts are seeing the kids open up to Regan and how Lewis protected her when things were tense between Regan and Thane. So adorable!

I'm so glad I got the chance to read this book and I'm looking forward to the next one in the series!

Review: Crooked Crows by Elena Lawson

Crooked Crows Crooked Crows by Elena Lawson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions.  This is my honest review.

Elena Lawson has been on my to-read list for forever, so when I got the chance to read this book early, I jumped on it!  And now my new mission is to catch up on her back-list of novels so I can devour everything she's wrote, because I am HOOKED after this novel!

I absolutely, 100% love Ava Jade.  She is a true survivor and I love the dark side of her.  She is so smart and is always thinking of her next 5 steps.  I kinda want to be her, but I also don't want to go to jail, so there's that.  I want to know more about her past and what she went through, which I hope we get a glimpse of that in future books.

And the guys!  I loved all 3 of them.  Corvis is definitely the most intriguing because I don't know much about him yet, but he seems to be the one in control for the most part.  And the fact that he loses his cool when Ava Jade is around is amazing.  Rook is the wild one and I love seeing him let loose.  And Grey, sweet Grey, of the bunch.  He's had the most interaction with Ava Jade so far, and I've loved every minute of it!

I am definitely a fan of this book, and this author, and I cannot wait until the next book to see what else happens after Ava Jade is told of what has to happen, because I know for sure it's going to be a vicious fight for control.  Seeing that unfold is going to be epic!

The Bratva's Locked Up Love The Bratva's Locked Up Love by Jagger Cole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

This series is my all time favorite by this author and this book is my number 1 of the group! Maksim and Quinn are on fire! The way they met was very untraditional and there was so much sexual tension, it was like the pages lit to flames.

I loved Quinn's braveness and her sass throughout most of the book. She is not someone to mess with, and seeing her take charge was awesome.

Maksim is amazing and I love how intense he is in everything. And the way he focused on Quinn could be seen as creepy, but I loved it from the second he met her.

I am so glad I got the chance to read this and I know I will be rereading this series in the near future!

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Gah, the suspense in this series is intense! At every turn, more and more things are revealed only to have a hundred more secrets pop up to keep you on the edge of your seat.

Mai has grown so much since we first met her and I'm so proud of her. She's making tough decisions and sticking to her guns, and I love it.

Her men are so protective of her, but they haven't realized yet that she doesn't need then to protect her. She needs them to love and trust her.

I cannot wait until the 4th and final book comes out to see how everything goes down! I have a feeling it's going to be epic!

The Trouble with #9 The Trouble with #9 by Piper Rayne
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

Since meeting Maksim and Paisley in the short novella, I was so excited to get their story and see how everything planned out with these two, and I was not disappointed. I loved when Maksim pursued Paisley so intensly and didn't get deterred. I did get frustrated with him at the end, but I know he was going through a lot of issues that he needed to get past.

I have to give Paisley props, she really tried to keep things professional and ignore Maksims flirting. But, come on, who can resist him? He is such a smooth talker and he really wears his heart on his sleeve.

I'm really loving this new series by Piper Rayne and I am so excited for more of these characters!

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

This entire trilogy is full of drama and tension and keeps you in the end of your seat. I love how confident Rae has gotten through all 3 books. She is strong and determined and I love seeing that after everything she's been thrive.

Harrison had a lot of growing and adjusting to do, and I'm glad he was able to finally figure out what was important in his life. He has a drive, he just needs to pursue what is really important to him.

I'm glad I got the chance to read this series and I think readers are going to love this ending!
