Review: When Traitors Rise by Kate Callaghan

When Traitors Rise When Traitors Rise by Kate Callaghan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

This was really a great series. I love the twists and turns, the unexpected events that were always popping up, and the characters. I think Lucifer is my favorite. His storyline really shows that you can't judge a person's morals, no matter how well you think you know them.

Klara is a survivor and really is a good person. I love seeing her fight for what she believes, even if it looks like she could never win.

I'm glad I finally got around to reading this series and I'm curious what other stories Kate Callaghan will come up with next!

Review: Where Traitors Fall by Kate Callaghan

Where Traitors Fall Where Traitors Fall by Kate Callaghan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and NetGalley. This is my honest review.

This book has so much happening, it's non stop action to keep the reader on the edge of their seat! I do feel that the writing was better in this book than the first one, either because the author did some changes or because I got used to her writing style - not sure which.

I feel for Klara. Her parents, both, are awful people and they play so many mind games, that my head is hurting from trying to figure everything out. I want them both to suffer by the end of this series!

I don't know how Klara is a product of these two, because she has heart, she cares about what is right  and her parents are only looking out for themselves and what will benefit them the most. It's disgusting.

Frendall disappointed me the most. I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation, but I can't get over his betrayal and I really hope that Klara won't forgive him right away... or ever if I'm being honest, though I'm sure that's not the case. She better make him work for it though.

I am very excited to dive into the next book to see how things get wrapped up! And to see Klara outsmart both of her conniving parents, hopefully!

Review: Crowned A Traitor by Kate Callaghan

Crowned A Traitor Crowned A Traitor by Kate Callaghan
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This was an interesting novel. I enjoyed the plot and the story. Really liked Klara. But this book felt a bit clunky and jerky at times. There were moments I completely got lost in the story and then the way something was worded or said threw me off my groove and then I found it a bit of a struggle to get back into things. Maybe it's because the author is from Ireland and I'm in the US, so it could just be a cultural thing? Not sure.

Klara is a complicated character. She is ruthless when she needs to be, but overall, she just wants a life with no responsibilities and to just be herself. She doesn't want to kill anyone but she will if it's needed. Klara is definitely a complex character and I feel like we have only just begun getting to know her.

I'm very excited that I have the next book to dive into and see how things progress after all of the revelations at the end of this book!

Review: Of Wish and Fury by S. Young (Samantha Young)

Of Wish and Fury Of Wish and Fury by Samantha Young
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I'm seriously loving this series so much right now! Ari is going through so much, and the hits just don't stop coming. I really feel for this girl and I can honestly say that her poor heart cannot handle anymore heartache. I just want to give her a big hug and never let her go.

The potential love triangle angle is getting to be a bit much, because obviously I'm team Jai, but I'm glad Ari is starting to realize what her true feelings are. Now if anything can happen between her and her love interest, that works be great... it's only been two books now, haha.

I'm waiting for Ari to completely use her power. I know that would be a bad thing if she can't control it, but I really just want to see her be the most powerful being for a moment. I'm sure it will happen, I'm just being impatient.

These two books have me hooked and now I just want the next two to dive into, because I'm invested in this story 100%. I can't believe it's taken me this long to read this series by one of my favorite authors, but you can guarantee I'll be devouring the rest soon!

Review: Dark Prince by N.E. Henderson

Dark Prince: A Mafia Romance Dark Prince: A Mafia Romance by N.E. Henderson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

I loved the first book so when I saw the second one, I jumped at the chance to read this story! Ren and Sasha are two crazy people but I love them so much. They are definitely meant for each other, even if it took them years to realize that.

I love that this book had many different viewpoints we were able to read and understand. And not just the siblings, but even more characters you wouldn't think would get their own chapter or two.

I HIGHLY recommend that you read book 1 before reading this one. It's been awhile since I read Matteo and Sienna's story and I even felt a bit lost when I first started reading. I think a reread is in order before book 3 :)

I am so glad I discovered this series and author and I am definitely excited to see what happens for Dom!

Review: My Famous Frenemy by Piper Rayne

My Famous Frenemy My Famous Frenemy by Piper Rayne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

I have adored Posey since Marla's story when 8 year old Posey was so protective of her mother, and nothing has really changed now. Which is adorable, but also concerning, in how much Posey will do to make sure her mother is happy. At some point, Posey should live her own life and make sure she is happy, and not just her mother.

Gavin is adorable. He is trying so hard to change his life for the better, and I love how much he loves this small town. I'm from a small town, so I know how different it can be from other places. And then to see him pursue Posey, and make it his new mission? I was a goner!

This entire series is fantastic and I love every single story we've gotten so far. And, as always, I cannot wait for the next couple!

Review: Luna Wolf by G. Bailey

Luna Wolf: A Rejected Mate Shifter Romance Luna Wolf: A Rejected Mate Shifter Romance by G. Bailey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I absolutely loved this novel! I was entranced from the very beginning and didn't want this story to end. Nyx is an amazing character. She had every reason to give up on everything, but she is 100% a fighter and is determined to figure out what her purpose in life is.

Atlas is something... so brooding and angry and possessive and mysterious. I seriously love him so much. He's very hot and cold with Nyx, but I think that's because he can't figure out his own emotions to be able to convey them well to her.

I am really thinking, and kinda hoping, that this is going to be a M/F and not a RH? I don't have an issue with RH, I just absolutely love the connection between Nyx and Atlas and don't want that to get lost in a RH, so here's me crossing my fingers it will just be the two of them!

I cannot wait to see what happens in book 2, because I am intensely committed to this story and these characters!

Review: Dating the Duke by Emma Hart

Dating the Duke Dating the Duke by Emma Hart
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author.  This is my honest review.

I absolutely ADORED this novel!! I couldn't get enough of it and devoured it in about one sitting.  Adelaide and Alexander were fantastic.  I loved the angst and tension that built between them and how hard they tried to fight their attraction toward one another.

I love the side characters as well, including Eva and Gabbi, but also Elizabeth and Olympia, just to name a few.  These aristocrat families are always getting into all sorts of trouble that you wouldn't expect, given their titles and whatnot.  I seriously laughed out loud about 4-5 times throughout this book, and constantly had a smile on my face the entire read.

There's something about this series that is really entertaining and fun, and I'm really loving them.  I think readers should definitely pick them up and give them a try, because I know that I will be re-reading them again in the future to enjoy these storylines again!

Review: Empire of Sin by Rina Kent

Empire of Sin Empire of Sin by Rina Kent
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

I absolutely loved this novel! I've been invested in Rina Kent's recent series, and I have immensely enjoyed them, but this books tops all of them for me to be honest.

The connection between Anastasia and Knox burns through the pages and hooks me completely. I honestly love Knox and I fell for him in Empire of Desire. But this book took me completely down the rabbit hole to love Knox.

I love how the two worlds collide with each other in this book. It made it feel whole and complete. I loved seeing previous characters and where they are now.

Anastasia is so smart and brave. She's learned how to blend in and be invisible but to Knox, she will always stand out. She's exactly what he needs to defeat the darkness that threatens to surface at times.

This book will stay with me for a very long time, and I know I will revisit these two again in the future. Now I'm very intrigued to see what the next book will bring :)

Review: The Everlasting Curse by G. Bailey

The Everlasting Curse The Everlasting Curse by G. Bailey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I adore this series by G. Bailey and I'm so happy I have it in one volume now so I can binge it without having to find all 3 seperate books on my kindle. Riona is a character I fell in love with instantly and Maddox intrigues me throughout the entire series.

I would 100% recommend this series to other readers - I know this is one I will be revisiting again in my future!

Review: Central Park Collision by Nicole Sanchez

Central Park Collision Central Park Collision by Nicole Sanchez
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I have been waiting with baited breath since May 2021 to read this book, and I was not disappointed at all! I seriously think I went through all of the emotions during this novel, and I do mean all. My most emotional reaction was literally pulling on my hair in frustration, ranting at Elia to get it together haha.

I can't imagine losing 5 years of my life, but I feel like Elia handled that news pretty well, considering. She is so strong willed and stubborn for most of the book and I loved that about her.

Charlie is a workaholic and seeing him discover life and wanting to do something besides work was fantastic. He slowly realized what was important in life, and I'm really glad that it happened because Elia came into his world.

There are so many toxic people in these characters' lives, I just wanted to see them suffer for every terrible thing they were doing. My frustration levels went through the roof during those moments haha.

I'm so glad I got the chance to read this novel and I'm very excited to see what else this debut author has in store for us!

Review: Sincerely, The Puck Bunny by Maren Moore

Sincerely, The Puck Bunny Sincerely, The Puck Bunny by Maren Moore
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

I love these hockey players in this series, and Briggs did not disappoint. He has changed so much and I love seeing him interact when he is coaching. And he steps up so much when he finds out about his child.

I don't know if there has ever been another character I wanted to shake so much as I find myself feeling about Maddison. I just wanted her to tell Briggs the truth but she kept finding excuses for why she shouldn't. It was so frustrating haha.

Graham really shocked me at how much I feel in love with him when he was around the baby. No joke, I seriously need to get his novel soon and hope there is a baby involved, because he is just amazing with them.

I'm so glad I got the chance to continue this series and I can't wait for more already!

Review: Forbidden Crown by Jagger Cole

Forbidden Crown Forbidden Crown by Jagger Cole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I really don't know how Jagger Cole does it, but with each new book, I fall in love with new characters and end up finding myself reading the entire book in one whole sitting. Seriously! I didn't move from start to finish and now I'm starving lol.

Julianna has gotten a crappy deal with parents. I am not rich and probably will never be rich, but I'm okay with that because I have parents who love me and don't treat me like how Julianna's parents treated her.

And Bastian... I mean, heavens, I instantly fell for him. He is so intense and blunt and just...Bastian. I admired both of their restraint at the beginning, but it was bound to happen and the sparks between them were exploding at the seams, even when everything was rooting against them.

It was wonderful seeing the other characters we have already read about and how...helpful they can be when motivated.

I already own the print of this book - instantly bought it before I read it. That's how much I love Cole's novels and I'm sure I will be doing that for the long foreseeable future. If you haven't read this series, you must! Grab them now! You won't regret it!
