Review: Dark Justice by Angela Smith

Dark Justice Dark Justice by Angela Smith
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.

The idea of this book was really great, but from the moment I started reading this, it was a bit rocky. It was really hard to connect with this book and the characters. It's supposed to be an emotional novel, but the characters emotions jump around to much for me to keep up with.

But looking at other readers thoughts, it looks like i might be in the minority on my feelings, so I think other readers have enjoyed this book. It just wasn't for me. I'm glad I got a chance to read this book!

All of Me All of Me by Lee Piper
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I have no idea how long I've had this book, but I finally got around to reading it and I really emitted it. This book is a fast read, a sweet story about second chances, and a steamy alpha man determined to get his woman.

I totally understand Tilly's viewpoint on why things won't work out between her and Kai, but I also think she should have definitely talked to him about her concerns.

I loved his reaction when he saw her again. He was dominant and controlling and made his intentions very clear.

This was a great story and I'm glad I read it.

Review: Curvy Attraction by Christa Wick

Curvy Attraction: Aiden & Cecelia Curvy Attraction: Aiden & Cecelia by Christa Wick
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This was a quick, steamy, cute novel. Cecelia was constantly changing her mind and one minute she seemed confident and the next she was shy and a nervous mess.

Aiden went from acting like he wasn't attracted to Cecelia at all, and then he was possessive as all get out.

A lot of steamy scenes that were quite intense at times, which I wasn't expecting to be honest.

Overall, it was a pretty good book.

Review: The Cursed Rune by G. Bailey

The Cursed Rune The Cursed Rune by G. Bailey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author.  This is my honest review.

I just binged the A Demon's Fall series and I was so excited to dive into this new-ish world that connects to that series.  Daesyn is so great - I may even like her a BIT more than Evie, but not by much.  Daesyn is full of twists and turns and she's an anomaly.  It doesn't seem that her secret can really stay a secret because everyone around her can feel her magic and what she really is.  But I really love how brave and fearless she is, how she's a great fighter and has a soft heart, even though she doesn't want that last part.

Torfinn, Sebastian, Ryker and Seth (yes, Seth!!!) are seriously the four most different kind of guys you can pair together to love Daesyn.  And honestly, I'm rooting for Seth the most, than Ryker.  Sebastian and Torfinn are all over the place right now and don't want to express their true feelings for Daesyn, but Seth and Ryker are all in and I love seeing them interact with Daesyn.

That ending?!?  Like, what?!?  I would be POed if I were Daesyn on the situation she was put into by someone who supposedly loved her.  I am very, very intrigued on what is going to happen next, but I know for sure that Daesyn won't go without one heck of a fight.

Also, I love Mossy and his nicknames for everyone and how devious he is :D

Loved this book and I will be waiting impatiently for the next installment!

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I'm so glad I got the box set for this series because I would NOT have wanted to wait for each book. I devoured this series in about a day and loved each and every book. I'm also glad I got to read Hali's story because I was really intrigued by her throughout this series.

The only thing I wished we could find out was the name of Evie's unborn child at the end of the epilogue.

If you decide to read this series I definitely recommend getting this box set to binge through it in one during!

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I  adored this series and this final book gave me everything I wanted. Evie is by far one of my favorite main characters of G. Bailey's characters. She's tough, smart, compassionate, and pretty much just a bad ass.

I am so glad I finally got around to reading this series because it is one I won't forget. Plus I just realized that Hali had her own series, so I'm going to have to go snatch that one up soon!

I definitely recommend this book and series :)

Review: Runes of Black Magic by G. Bailey

Runes of Black Magic Runes of Black Magic by G. Bailey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

This book was packed full of action and suspense. Evie is very selfless and brave and she always comes up with great, but dangerous, plans. I love seeing her in action and seeing her plans work out.

I also love how she knows there will be consequences of her actions, but if it will help anyone else out, she doesn't think twice. She is definitely fit to be queen.

Azi and Nix are still my two favorite. I like that this book doesn't focus on too much romance in the scheme of things, but they're are a few sexy times.

Now onto the next book!

Runes of Mortality Runes of Mortality by G. Bailey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author.  This is my honest review.

I immensely enjoy G. Bailey's novels, and I really liked this 2nd book in the series.  Many reviews listed on Goodreads said that it was slow and nothing happened, but I really appreciated the world building and the relationship building that happened in this book.  And Evie is also coming to accept her new role in life, and for her, this is a huge step.

I still love how almost disconnected she is from things.  She's not doing things she thinks she's expected to do, she's doing things she knows are right and that need to be done.

Star is turning out to be an awesome pet and I love everytime she defends Hali and Evie.  The boys are still being boys, but I think either Azi or Nix are my favorite.  Trex needs to get the stick out of his ass and Conner is just a lovable person.

I hope evil, evil things happen to Erica, and seeing who her present company is, I can guarantee she will suffer.

This is turning out to be a great series, and I'm excited to jump into the next novel!

Runes of Truth Runes of Truth by G. Bailey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I'm really glad I finally read this book. Evie is an absolute badass! She is determined to rid the world of evil and she is such a fighter. I love how devoted she is with Hali and I love how she was really focused on her mission and not the men she's traveling with.

I'm very intrigued about Azi, Trex, Connor and Nix. They all are mysterious and I hope we find out more about all 4 of them.

And I'm so glad I have book 2 ready to go because that ending was leaving a lot of questions unanswered!

Review: Feels like Rain by Tammy Falkner

Feels like Rain Feels like Rain by Tammy Falkner
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author.  This is my honest review.

I seriously cannot contain my excitement about this series!  Every book is amazing, they make you FEEL everything, they are something any reader can connect with, and I just feel so happy by the end of the novels.  This book was not a disappointment at all!

Feels Like Rain is a "lighter" book compared to the two, but I still think it packs a punch when it comes down to it.  Also, I really, really need to find my own Lake Fisher and experience this life, but everytime I visit with these books, I want to go here and live my life here :)

Ethan.  My God, Ethan's story really broke my heart.  This man has been through SO MUCH, and the townspeople are still judging him.  And the sad part is that Ethan feels he needs to be judged, when he really doesn't.  I also love how shy and cute he is.  Abigail made him blush SO MANY TIMES, I found it adorable.  Usually I like the main guy character to be brooding and gruff, but boy did I love those scenes where he blushed and seemed embarrassed!!

And Abigail.  I could not imagining going through what she did, but I did relate to a few of her struggles at the beginning of the book and her lack of emotion when everything was revealed.  She was lost and just floating by, so I'm really glad that her life changed, even though it was really a devastating situation, she found the light at the end of the tunnel in the end.

My all-time, favorite, cannot live with out character Pops, Mr. Jacobson, whatever you need to call him, absolutely made my day with this novel.  Usually Pops makes me cry by laughing so hard I can't breathe, but in this book, he made my cry with tears on how devoted, how strong, how caring he is.  When he stood by Ethan, I could not handle the amount of tears I shed because I could feel his love, and when Pops gives you that love, you cannot help but feel everything.  Sure, I missed his playful, gruff side, which we still get a little, but this book set in stone how much I really, really love him.  And I'm glad to see things starting to look up for him when it comes to his own romance ;)

I am thrilled that I was able to get an eARC of this novel and I'm so glad the day that I discovered Tammy Falkner's novels.  I have gone through a lot of emotions with her books and I will always read her books, eARC or by 1-clicking them!  I can't wait for the next novel of hers!

Review: Cruel Kisses by Thandiwe Mpofu

Cruel Kisses Cruel Kisses by Thandiwe Mpofu
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

I really need all of these characters to fess up to their secrets. There are layers and layers upon LAYERS of secrets that are destroying lives. And the trust level is nonexistent in this book. Everyone is accusing everyone else of one problem after another and the drama level is just way too much.

I don't feel like anything was fixed or resolved in this book. Just when you think things are going well, more crap happens.

I'm a bit disappointed in Julian at the end of this book. He didn't listen or believe in Mia. I'm also frustrated with Mia because she wasn't communicating. She used to be Queen be and make everyone listen to her, and now she can't even get Julian to hear or her side of the story.

I'm a bit scared for book 3 after that terrifying ending. If it is true, Mia will be broken beyond repair. If it's not true, Julian may still do something he can't take back. And I'm going to guess that the stands of these two lives will still continue, because they for some reason can't talk or trust each other.

So obviously I went through an emotional Rollercoaster after finishing this book. I'll be very interested to know what happens next.

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

This was an adorable novel. I loved how Carson and Violet helped each other through their weak moments and I really liked how much Margo attached herself to Violet and became great friends with each other.

I get why Carson was conflicted and I'm glad he took the time to really think about his life and choices. I do think it would have benefitted him to maybe talk to a professional, but I'm glad he figured it out on his own.

I'm glad I got a chance to read this book and look forward to more!

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions.  This is my honest review.

I have been waiting on pins and needles for Jasmine's novel since we were first introduced to her and this book did not disappoint!  I absolutely loved it and see her finally open up about what she went through was heartbreaking but inspiring and freeing as well.

Atlas is just amazing in and out and I love how slow things progressed with Jasmine, Atlas and Zoey.  Both characters were really struggling with inner demons, but to see them come out the other end for the better was just great.

I did think that they both kept their own secrets WAY too long.  I kept waiting for it to happen, but each chapter went by and nothing.  That was a little frustrating, but I get why they were hesitant to go into details.

Also... that UNEXPECTANT twist?!?!?!  I seriously didn't see it coming, and I usually always get a sense for that!  I was stunned and my jaw dropped instantly when it was revealed and I was very impressed, authors.  Very very impressed that you were able to catch me off guard like that.

I'm so glad that we finally get Jasmine's story and I CANNOT wait until book 5 after that little teaser at the end of the book!!

Review: Stalker of Mine by Jagger Cole

Stalker of Mine Stalker of Mine by Jagger Cole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

This was written fanatically well. I just read another book that was a stalker obsession and left me feeling at odds, but this book did not go to that intense, creepy level.

Kenzie has been surrounded by creepy, messed up people. Thankfully Oren was around, but some of the things he did bordered creepy as well. Thankfully he did it because he had more intense feelings, and was protecting her.

I'm not sure if I would have felt the same way Kenzie felt when finding out about everything, but you could definitely see and feel the connection between these two.

I really liked this novel and I think readers and fans of Jagger Cole will devoure this new novel!

This is such a sweet novel. Full of hope and love and taking chances. I really appreciated that there wasn't intense drama or terrible events that dramatically changed the mood of the story.

Thigh i do have to say, this is why I would never ever live in the Northeast of USA... 18"+ of snow ?!?!?! Nope. No way, no how would I ever step for in that terrible place. *shudders*.

I'm really glad I took a chance and read another Christmas story when I don't normally because this book only has good vibes flowing from it!

Riot House Riot House by Callie Hart
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

Wowzas...! This book was slammed packed with so much, I'm a bit blown away! Bully romance / dark romance is something I've just stumbled upon lately, and this is one that I really liked.

Elodie is a great person. She's been through hell, but she is still fighting. And I love how she isn't intimidated by the Riot Boys. She fights back and instantly snags the attention of Wren.

Wren is full of mysteries and secrets but seeing him get unraveled by Elodie was fantastic. She definitely brings out the better part of him.

The big twist at the end was pretty great. I figured it out moments before the reveal, so there was a great shock factor. I'm glad Elodie got some sort of redemption for what she went through too.

This was a great book and I'm definitely going to be looking forward to more books by this author!

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

These characters are... something else! They are complete opposites, yet find themselves in a situation that requires them to get to know each other.

I love that this wasn't an instant love connection. Katherine and Eric really had to get to know each other and take the time and effort to find their connection. It made it feel more real like.

This book made me sad cry. I tried to fight it, but gosh my heart was gutted for Eric and Kat and I felt the heartache they were feeling. So the author did a fanatic job making that moment emotional and so real like that it felt like it was happening to me.

I'm glad I got a chance to read it and I may try the brothers novels when they are released. Because those boys are hilarious!

Sweet as Pie Sweet as Pie by Brisa Starr
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.

This was a short, easy read. I enjoyed the storyline but I did get frustrated by both Ryker and Aspen. Ryker goes from hating Aspen to saying they are going to get married within a day... talk about whiplash.

And Aspen is so set to do things her way that she won't take help from anyone it seems. There are better ways to doing things than denying help from people who love you.

So between those two aspects, they're was a lot of bouncing back and forth with their feelings. They are both unsure of life which can easily say their thoughts and feelings. They are a bit emotional unstable throughout this book.

But overall I enjoyed this book and I'm glad I got a chance to read it!

The Italian Obsession The Italian Obsession by N.J. Adel
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions.  This is my honest review.

Holy Camolie... I really have no words for this book.  From the very beginning, there was this weird, crazy vibe and the setting of the story was creepy and eerie.  I was hoping things would get better, not as insane, but nope - it definitely got way terrifying by the end.

I'm very conflicted on my feelings as well, which is why I keep feeling like this is a 3.5 book, but the rating scale won't let me choose that. The author did a fantastic job making me feel just as crazy as Lina felt throughout this entire book, which I think is crazy talent.  She also wrote about an intense trigger subject that I very much tend to stray away from, but she did it in a way that wasn't as terrible as it could be.  I don't know, it's very hard to describe, but I do give the author amazing props on her talent for writing.

Also, from the get go,  knew that was something extremely off about the entire Bellomo family.  Both are uber intense and just way too much to deal with.  I honestly feel bad for Lina, but she really wasn't going to be able to escape seeing all of the connections the Bellomo family has.

So, yeah, overall, I was entranced by this book, just like Lina was, but I was also disturbed by this book as well.  If I decide to dive back into a N.J. Adel novel, I will have to proceed with caution after reading this book, and I will only be able to read 1 of Adel's books a year to recoup from the trauma I've been through!

I absolutely loved the first book in this series, so I was really excited to get the chance to read book 2. This sci-fi world is really wonderful and I'm glad we got to visit another planet with a different alien species.

Savannah and Xair were great characters, but I didn't feel their connection as strongly as I did with the characters from book 1. But I love how loyal and determined they both are.

I'm so excited I was able to read this novel and I cannot wait for the next one!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions.  This is my honest review.

O. M. G... I absolutely, 100% need the next book ASAP!!!  I am loving this series, and I'm discovering that I need to read Rina Kent's backlist right away if they are anything like this series.  I'm sure Jonathan has been a jerk in previous books, and he's no knight-in-shining-armor throughout this one, but I'm insanely crazy about him.

I love how tortured the main woman character is.  Her past is brutal, haunted, and I cannot image how she is surviving.

Then you throw in Jonathan and I'm a goner for this book.  Seeing them interact with each other, how they are slowly chipping away at each other's walls around their feelings, is fantastic.  I'm sucked into this story and I devoured the entire novel way too fast.

I cannot wait to see what is going to happen in book 2 and how things will work out.  Because if I've figured out anything in this book, Jonathan always gets his way, one way or another.

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I loved the opposites attract in this book. Daniel and Luna couldn't be any more opposites from each other, but the spark was there from the moment they met.

I wish that they weren't focused so much on how they can't be together but rather how they could. Long distance relationships are rough, but they CAN work. But if both people are determined to let the other free it obviously won't work out. And these two are very resourceful. They can figure out anything.

I'm glad I got a chance to read this book and I'm looking forward to more by this author.

This was a very quick read that was easy to fly through. I definitely quotient can this an enemies-to-lovers novel because I never felt that Laura or Daniel were enemies at any point of this book. There was little involvement with the Mafia, so I feel like that is a bit misleading as well.

Overall it was an okay novel. Maybe there will be more depth in the next book? I'm glad I got a chance to read this!

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

When I signed up for this book, I didn't realize it was part of a series. Now, I know each book is about different characters, but I felt like I was missing a lot of the story because I hadn't read book 1 or 2.

I also didn't realize that the characters were in their 40s until 50% through the book, and once I discovered that, I felt that the characters needed to act their age instead of acting like they were in their 20s. I get that being a rockstar means they have a different life style, but I would have been disgusted to see Art with the barely of age girls. I'm also not a girl who's ever fangirled over a specific male singer, so I would never even think to do what those girls were doing.

Leo had a bad childhood and I really do feel bad for her life growing up. I love that she is resourceful and can take care of herself, and now that I know she is 40 and not 20, it makes a lot more sense.

Overall I liked this novel and I think it had a really great message about finding a way to love yourself and finding good things to focus on when things are not so great. I'm glad I got the chance to read this novel!

I'm not usually a fan of Christmas nor Christmas novels, but I decided to take a chance with this one since I've enjoyed Kayley's previous novels.

And let me tell you, I was laughing so much during this book! Both Declan and Maddie's families are hilarious and over the top ridiculous. I was reading this book at work, and I recommend not doing that if people will look at you funny if you blurt out laughing like I did!

Watching these two dance around each other was entertaining. Seeing them struggle with their feelings was very real and relatable.

I'm very glad I took a chance with this book and I won't be forgetting this novel any time soon!

Review: Reforming Kent by Siobhan Davis

Reforming Kent Reforming Kent by Siobhan Davis
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions.  This is my honest review.

Woah.  This book is intense.  I'm basically speechless after finishing this book.

I have never read a book in the Kennedy Boys series, so to start off with the last book is a bit odd for me.  Granted, I didn't do my homework before signing up for this eARC, so that's on me, but I feel like if I did read the other books, I would have realized that Siobhan Davis writes about some intense, real, powerful, heartbreaking events that happen in everyday life.  Maybe then I wouldn't have been so shocked on the turn that this book went.

Both Kent and Presley have been through a lot, so seeing them open up to each other was magnificent.  I love how much Kent had to work to get Presley to go on just one date with him.  She baffled him so much he became intrigued instantly.

The secrets this book has, the trauma, the terror, it is real.  I don't typically read books with this subject, and if I'm prepared ahead of time, I tend to avoid these books at all costs.  I wasn't informed ahead of time and it was a bit of a shock for me.  But I'm glad I read it because seeing these character overcome the horror and the nightmare that was their life was inspiring and uplifting to see.  I hope more stories end the way that this one did, because that is the life we should inspire to have.

I'm really glad I got a chance to read this book, even though it had a lot of tough subjects to read through.  Maybe in the future, I will read and meet the other Kennedy brothers with their own stories, but I think I will need to spread those out if they all have intense subject matters like this novel did.

Devious Kisses Devious Kisses by Thandiwe Mpofu
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

Holy drama! From the start of this book to the last, there is nothing but intense drama in every page. I honestly could not live life like these people - too much stress, and backstabbing, and having to constantly be on your toes for anything to happen.

Almost all the bully books I've read, it has always been the guy bullying and hating the girl he secretly loves. But I gotta tell you, I loved how mean Mia could get. She didn't go down that path until she was cornered, but when she let lose, she really went for the jugular. I am sad she doesn't have one true friend in her life, and literally everything she knew was a lie. I wouldn't be as strong or tough or fierce as she was if I were in her shoes.

Julian has so many layers and secrets and anger inside of him. I'm surprised he has a true friend like Cole around because I would think that would be a weakness in his eye. And to have to deal with parents like his can't be easy either.

I'm curious how things are going to continue for Mia and Julian and I'm excited to read the next book. Hopefully they will figure out everything and start to live a non-stressful life soon.

Review: When the Stars Fall by Emery Rose

When the Stars Fall When the Stars Fall by Emery Rose
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

I binged this book all today today and now I'm finished and I'm emotional wrecked from everything I've experienced during this novel. This is a slow paced, slow burn novel that kept me in suspense but also frustrated me to no end.

There is SOO much that happens in this book. Most of which was heart wrenching and legit brought me to tears.

Lila is a warrior. She goes through such trauma when she's younger, then goes through more emotional pain when she gets older. The thing is, she doesn't let it break her. She fights over and over again, make sure she survived on the other side. Whether it means her decision should be a second chance or to finally let go, Lila is not afraid to do the right thing.

And Jude... I gotta say, for the majority of this book, I really didn't like him. Obviously that didn't change my 5 star rating of this book, but he's a bit challenging for me. I hate how he acted on his 18th birthday with Lila. I hated how he got to do what he wanted, but restricted Lila's life and took away her ability to decide things for herself. I hated that he made the biggest decision of his life without once thinking about the woman he loves until it was too late to change anything. I hate how he didn't even try to listen to Lila before throwing in the towel. So many options to get help, but no.

So yeah, this book is deep. It's heavy. It's real and emotional and heartbreaking but uplifting. I feel like a train hit me, but I know this book will stay with me for a long time coming. And now I absolutely, 100% need Brody's book. And Jude's brothers too? But Brody - I really need it to happen.

I'm so glad I got to read this book and I'm looking forward to more soon!

Review: The Hitman's Obsession by Jagger Cole

The Hitman's Obsession The Hitman's Obsession by Jagger Cole
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

As always, I adored this novel by Jagger Cole. The characters have a spark and the book is all about their connection with each other, with just a side of action and life and death events.

It was cute how Vincent tried to avoid his true feelings for Bellamy, but she wasn't going to keep running from what is between them any longer.

I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the next book by Jagger Cole!

Review: Beautifully Wicked by Jordan Grant

Beautifully Wicked: A High School Bully Romance Beautifully Wicked: A High School Bully Romance by Jordan Grant
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and BookSirens.  This is my honest review.

I was instantly intrigued by this book when I read the synopsis, and once I started reading it, I was sucked into the story and couldn't put it down.  Harlow has been through a lot, and I can't imagine starting at a new school where you just know they are going to be entitled and snobby because they have money.  But I love the snark she gives Ian, and any other "all-star" student who runs the school.  She has no idea what situation she has been put into the middle, but her loyalty to Molly is amazing and I would love to have a friend like her in my life.

Ian is instantly blown away the second he sees Harlow.  The reader is a bit lost when it comes to the Rules, so I was a bit curious and baffled when he went rushing to say she's his, but I gotta tell ya, if I was Harlow and he said that about me, I wouldn't say no!  But Ian works so hard with Harlow.  He admires the fight in her, the snarky comments she gives back, and he is determined to win her over.  Some may say he was a bully, but underneath it all, his true thoughts and reactions (THANK YOU for Ian's POV!!) he was weirdly trying to help and also break down Harlow's resistance.

I'm very much invested into this story now, and I really need more.  Whether it's more of Ian and Harlow, or of the other characters, I am now in this to the end and I have subscribed to the authors newsletter to get more info ASAP :)  I definitely recommend this novel and I think other readers will devour it just like I did!

The Familiar Empire: Reverse Harem Shifter Romance The Familiar Empire: Reverse Harem Shifter Romance by G. Bailey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author.  This is my honest review.

This is a great series and I'm so glad I get to have it in one file to binge it straight through next time I want to re-read them!  Plus the bonus epilogue is so sweet and is the perfect ending for this series.

If you are looking for a great shifter series, I would definitely recommend buying this box-set because once you start the first book, you are going to want to keep on reading until they are all done!  G. Bailey is a fantastic author and I am always anxious to get more novels from her when she has a new release.

You will enjoy the adventure with Anastasia, Alex, Liam and Mason - for sure!

Review: Beautiful Thief by M.N. Forgy

Beautiful Thief Beautiful Thief by M.N. Forgy
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions.  This is my honest review.

The synopsis to this book was very intriguing and I was excited to get a chance to discover a new author and a new world.  I was very surprised at how much of the book was a flashback to young Romeo, but I think it was done very well to really show the reader just what kind of person Romeo is, especially because he's a bit hard to pin down as an adult.

This book is quite heavy and may be hard for some readers to read through, though there weren't explicit details about either one of the characters dark pasts.

Luna is a survivor, but Romeo brings out the best in her.  I thought she was able to get over her trauma a little too easily considering how long she had suffered, but each person deals with their personal issues a different way.

I'm really glad I got a chance to read this eARC and I'm definitely going to keep my eye out for more books by M.N. Forgy.

Review: Wrangling the Cowboy by Kennedy Fox

Wrangling the Cowboy Wrangling the Cowboy by Kennedy Fox
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions.  This is my honest review.

O. M. G.  I loved this book!!  I've been following the Bishop family throughout all of the novels by Kennedy Fox, and I really have to say that this is my all-time favorite one of the whole bunch so far!  This is also the highest rating I've given a Kennedy Fox novel to date, so I really really loved it!

The chemistry between Gavin and Maize is off the charts intense!  I'm a little miffed at Maize for taking her sweet time trying to avoid her feelings toward Gavin, but seeing him chase after her was great and really showed how determined he was.  And how he changed the game later?  Priceless.

I also love how Maize loves to cook.  Knowing her background history and how amazing she has grown up to be is so sweet and she is, to me, THE heart of the Bishop family.  I mean, she feeds an army every meal!  If that's not the heart, I don't know what is.

Gavin is by far my favorite male character of the bunch and I love how he wasn't a young, playful boy.  He is a man and he knows what he wants.  I love that he tames horses and bulls because it certainly shaped him into the man he is now, and that is exactly what Maize needs in her life.

Also, I'm very intrigued about the next few books in this series, though I'm very surprised it won't Maize's sister next.  Oh well, can't wait for more from the Circle B Ranch in the future!

Review: Catching the Cowboy by Kennedy Fox

Catching the Cowboy Catching the Cowboy by Kennedy Fox
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Being with the Bishops is so much fun. I love Rowan and Diesel together. The only issue I have is all of the secrecy. I realize that the falling-for-my-bffs-sibling genre is not my favorite. Everyone is hiding everything because they don't want XYZ to find out and get mad, and I'm kinda over that. Everyone is an adult, so just start acting like one.

Diesel has a special place in my heart. He's literally been staying his true feelings for Rowan for years and he's always said he'll get her one day so no one should be surprised.

I love seeing all the Bishop cousins together and I'm extremely excited to see how they all find their happily ever afters!

Review: Hitching the Cowboy by Kennedy Fox

Hitching the Cowboy Hitching the Cowboy by Kennedy Fox
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I enjoyed the Bishop brothers novels, so getting to read about their kids is going to be a blast! I'm so glad it started with Riley since River and Alex were the first to start the previous generation. And just like his parents, Riley can't do anything normal, but rather the most odd way to find his forever woman.

Zoey had been fighting her parents wishes her while life, so I get why she's found little ways to rebel. I'm really disgusted in her parents reaction to Zoey's wishes and dreams, but not all parents are understanding, sadly. Benjamin pissed me of so much and I hope he gets bad karma back.

I really enjoyed this book and I'm really glad Riley is a unpredictable as good parents. Really excited to read the next story in this series.

Roping the Cowboy Roping the Cowboy by Kennedy Fox
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Braxton and Kat have a very interesting way of meeting one another, and the attraction between the two is undeniable. I loved how they did pranks with one another and how they obviously liked each other even though they denied it repeatedly.

Being able to continue to Bishop series is so great and I'm so glad we got a chance to see Braxton's story. Now to dive into the kids version!

Review: The Backup Girlfriend by Emma Doherty

The Backup Girlfriend The Backup Girlfriend by Emma Doherty
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions.  This is my honest review.

So this is my first book that I've ready by Emma Doherty.  I didn't read the other books in this series and I didn't feel like I had to.  In fact, I'm a bit glad I didn't because I didn't have Abigail as the evil, mean girl that I may have felt toward her throughout Livy and Chase's novel.  Because what I saw here was a girl just trying to figure out her life, and she had a lot of obstacles to overcome in order to find her true self.

This book is a slow burn romance.  In fact, this really doesn't have a lot of romance in this novel, to be honest.  Usually that is my jam, but the author wrote this so well, that I was sucked into this story and needed to see how things ended.  I was rooting for Abigail along with everyone else in her life, and needed her to have a happy ending.

I love that Brett didn't fall at her feet like everyone else does.  I LOVED that he studied her so much, he didn't interrupt her to talk, and she would get so awkward and have the need to fill the silence when he didn't reply to something she said.  I loved that he pushed her to make herself better, both academically and also as a person. I love that he slowly had to unwrap and unravel the layers that is Abigail because this girl has so many secrets and mysteries, it takes a long time to uncover everything that is about her.

This was a great novel full of heartwarming emotion and relationships.  The character development for both Abigail and Brett.  More so for Abigail, obviously, but Brett also had some issues to overcome, like stereotyping based on appearances.  I'm really glad I got a chance to read this novel and I may just backtrack and read the other books in this series as well :)

Review: Stealing Kisses With a King by Sylvie Stewart

Stealing Kisses With a King Stealing Kisses With a King by Sylvie Stewart
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions.  This is my honest review.

Malcolm and Alice were such an odd bunch that you can help but root for them!  This is the first book I've read by this author, and while these characters are new to their own book, this is part of a series.  I'm not sure if reading the previous two books about Malcolm's brother, Leo, would have cleared up some confusing bits in the novel, but I definitely don't think you have to read the other two to understand this novel.

I respect Alice hardcore.  She knew her personal feelings were going to become an issue one way or another in the future working for Malcolm, so she removed herself from the problem should would encounter.  And that takes a lot of self-will because not many people would do that.  Then again, Malcolm always gets what he wants and with Alice on the brain to come back and fix all of his problems, she had no chance when it came down to it.

Honestly, Malcolm at the beginning of the book really annoyed me because he was self-centered and selfish.  He never really thought about too much more than himself, so it rubbed me the wrong way.  It was nice to see him finally grow up, and that he did it on his own too, that Alice didn't change him.  So in the end it was good, but I struggled just a little bit at the beginning.

Overall, I thought this book was cute and it definitely showed character development for BOTH of the characters, so that was a plus!  I'm glad I got a chance to read this book and I may look into reading more by Sylvie Stewart.

Review: Crash Into You by J.H. Croix

Crash Into You Crash Into You by J.H. Croix
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

I adored this novel! This is my first book by this author and I can tell you it won't be my last!

Flynn is an amazing guy. I love that he changed his whole life to take care of his siblings when they needed him, and he is still doing everything in his power to keep them safe and protected.

And Daphne. She's so strong and determined. She went through so much tragedy and she decided to make a change in her life and her goals. Who knew she would end up loving it, among other things in Alaska.

Honestly, Alaska is a hard no for me... snow? Darkness? I couldn't handle it. But I did relate to this book when it came to Flynn flying since my boyfriend is a pilot, so that life was very familiar to me.

This book was so amazing and I feel like readers are going to adore it so much. I'm really glad I got a chance to read this book and I'm looking forward to more by this author and in this series!

Review: Claiming Carter by Jennifer Bonds

Claiming Carter Claiming Carter by Jennifer Bonds
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

This book was so great! I honestly wasn't expecting to love it so much, but from the first page I was so engrossed that I couldn't put it down!

Kennedy is amazing. Not only is she defying all odds by being a woman involved in STEM, but she also decides to be the kicker on the school's football team? Both of these are super intense roles to be in, and Kennedy does it with, what seems to be no problems. She's a beast and she's awesome!

Austin has a lot of pressure being the captain of the team and also following in his dad's footsteps. He's definitely a father figure to his teammates and acts so much older than he really is.

Seeing these two ignore the attraction between them and having a slow burn romance was so great and so realistic. I loved every minute of it and was hooting and hollering the whole time.

I'm so glad I got the chance to read this book and I'll be on the lookout for more by this author!

Review: Fallen Heirs by Laura Lee

Fallen Heirs Fallen Heirs by Laura Lee
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions.  This is my honest review.

After that grueling ending of book 2, I dived into this third book with anticipation for a wild ride - which was exactly what happened!

Jazz and Kingston are great together, but they are just starting to be with each other, so a lot of trust and communication still needs to be learned from both of them.  I adore Ainsley and Reed, Bella is one of my favorites, and Bentley is such a stinker, I need more of his story!

The terrible situation was just that - terrible.  I can't imagine why humans want to act that way and think that it is an okay thing to do when in reality, it's disgusting and horrible.

I'm really glad I got a chance to read this series and I really enjoyed all three novels!  I would definitely recommend this series, and I do suggest that you just get all 3 books at once, because you will be left wanting more by the end of each book!

Review: Game Changer by Alley Ciz

Game Changer Game Changer by Alley Ciz
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions.  This is my honest review.

Gah, what is it with this author and cliffhangers?!?!  I can't even right now!  I thought book one was bad, but ugh!  Okay, okay, I'm calm now.

This book picks up exactly where book one ended, so we get to go through the emotional distress that both Kayla and Mason are feeling right now.  I gotta say, it was a rollercoaster of a ride and I felt Every. Single. Feeling.  Alley Ciz is a fantastic author and really sucks me into her stories.  She makes me feel every emotion, good, bad, amazing.  And with the football game?  I don't like football, and I was entranced by the way she wrote it.

I love the effort and groveling and just everything Mason did to get Kayla's attention in this novel.  He was willing to do ANYTHING for her, and by the end, everyone in the whole world could tell that.

He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named is insufferable and I hope for bad things to happen to him in book three.

Kayla has the world behind her back.  She literally befriends everyone and she has an arsenal of amazing people who will do ANYTHING for her, so you know she is an amazing person inside and out.

I am so so so glad I got the chance to read this amazing author because of Wildfire Marketing Solutions and I know that I am going to try to snatch up all of her books, past and future for sure!  This is a definitely  must read series!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

O. M. G. I LOVED this novel!! I can't believe how much I adore this novel! From the very beginning to the very end, I was sucked into this novel and I didn't move until I devoured this entire book.

Darcie is fierce, loyal, protective and determined. I myself would never have put my name into a mating lottery because that sounds terrifying and torture, but she did it to help her sister. And when she was on the ship to her new planet, she didn't make it easy for Rox.

I also loved loved loved Rox. I'm wishing I had my own alien right now.

I am so glad I got the chance to read this book and you can bet I'm going to be reading this entire series!

The Bookworm's Guide to Dating The Bookworm's Guide to Dating by Emma Hart
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I believe Kinsley and I are bffs. Between her reaction to reading books, love for fictional characters, Harry Potter enthusiast, and how we both are bitter we couldn't, and still can't, find merchandise with our unique names on it at the store? We are basically the same person!

I love that this book showed how attraction happens naturally. One of these characters was not thinking romantically about the other one until 30% through the book. It wasn't love at first sight.

The only thing that could have been changed was falling for my bffs sibling. This trope is a one I'm growing weary of, which means I need to do reading them I suppos.

I loved the ducks, the grandparents, and the nerdy book references in this novel. I have some deep connection with these characters already - from the first page!

I do need to know, what book was Kinsley reading on the first page? Characters Alexandra, Kieran and Will? I feel like I should know this, but I'm coming up with a blank!

I'm so glad I got a chance to read this novel and I'm looking forward to more by this author!

Review: The Brightest Night by Jennifer L. Armentrout

The Brightest Night The Brightest Night by Jennifer L. Armentrout
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Jennifer L. Armentrout is the master of writing. This 500+ page book sucked me in, overtook my mind. I couldn't work, couldn't sleep, I had to keep reading and I was completely absorbed by this novel. I should have called in sick to work, because I was reading this baby when I shouldn't have been! Lux and Origin series have always, and will most likely always, be my all-time favorite series by JLA, though From Ash & Blood is coming into a close second, so I'm not surprised in the slightest that I am left completely broken after this book.

I love that Evie is learning more about herself into this book, and that she is slowly growing confident in herself. She is an amazing person and she just needs a reminder here and there that she can do unexplainable things.

Luc is, gah, he's Luc. We all know how Luc is, and he definitely does not disappoint in his snark, his wit, his cheesy jokes, and his love for llamas. And he is so much MORE in this book that it will leave you speechless, breathless, and in awe of him. Not that he needs that ego boost, though.

It is very eerie with the circumstances in this book of what is happening in this series compared to what is happening in our world today. The eerie part is that Jennifer wrote this before anything ever happened... 0_0

I cannot wrap my head around this book. The ending is just...I can't even. I really, really hope I don't go into a book slump after this, but my mind won't stop replaying everything over and over again. I cannot go on like this for another year, so hopefully I will come to terms with everything soon! There was so much information overload that my brain has decided everyday things are not important right now.

Readers are going to fall in love with this book and be left probably just like I am after consuming this novel. The wait was worth it, but now we have another wait coming, and I cannot even begin to imagine what will be coming next. Thank you so much, Jennifer! I adore you and your stories and look forward to everything you have coming. Even if it's your grocery list ;-)
