Review: Pack Dutton: Part 1 by Megan Cain

Pack Dutton: Part 1: A Dark Omegaverse Novel Pack Dutton: Part 1: A Dark Omegaverse Novel by Megan Cain
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Shooketh! I loved this book! This is my first omegaverse, and I now see the hype of it! I absolutely have no idea how this author can write about a subject I LOATHE and usually can't continue reading when brought up, and I'm able to gobble up the book, even with this topic discussed. Pure magic honestly.

Hazel is such a fighter. That's not in her genres but she's been through so much that she's always fighting her natural instincts as an omega. Also? The way society is treating omegas? I'd be starting a revolution to take all those cults down and the government. No one can tell me how I'm supposed to live my life. This world's society went backwards in time and I'm too head strong to allow myself to be treated like a slave.

I adore all the men in Pack Dutton. I honestly don't know if I have a favorite? Maybe... no I honestly can't pick haha. They are all so uniquely different and I love each of them so much. I love the Crew has a history with Hazel. Rhett and how British accent! Kellen and his emotional affection that spoiled his anger?  Yes! And Jude! I hate how he keeps saying he's only a beta and he's not as important as the alphas. That's so not true.

This author was able to get these men so individualized in my mind and that is pure talent! Seriously she has magic in her blood, no lie!

That ending was brutal and I'm very scared for how book 2 is going to start. Hazel better not be treated like Logan was because that might be too much for me. (Poor Logan I love him.) I cannot wait to see how Pack Dutton saves Hazel and goes feral on all who touched her. This is my hopes and dreams.

I'm so glad I got the chance to read this book and I absolutely cannot wait to dive into the second book when it releases!

Review: Heartless Hunter by Kristen Ciccarelli (Crimson Moth)

Heartless Hunter Heartless Hunter by Kristen Ciccarelli (Crimson Moth)
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*This review contains spoilers! Read at your own risk!*

I got a special edition of this book by Fairyloot and desperately needed to read it because it just intrigued me so much. And I'm so glad I did because I adored this story! Rune is a fantastic character full of good deeds and living a double life. I don't know how she does it and I would hate society Rune, but Crimson Moth Rune would be my best friend.

Gideon is swoon-worthy and delicious, but this boy has so much drama from his past that he hasn't even tried to move past from. I loved seeing him flounder with his feelings in regards to Rune. He did not expect her awesomeness and it took him on a ride.

I love that Rune had Verity and Alex to be her friend after what she went through wroth her grandmother. They helped her so much complete her mission over and over.

There are so many twists and turns that happened at the end of the book. I'm throwing a spoiler here now so quit reading if you don't want to be spoiled!

I'm so sad about Alex dying. I loved that he saved his brother and I didn't think he end up with Rune, but that friendship was eveerything to Rune and Alex was everything for Gideon. Such a devastating moment!

Also? Verity ending up being Cressida? That was surprising but there was enough lead up to it that I figured it out. I'm very curious how things are going to go down between Cressida and Rune because I feel like they won't have the same vision for the mission.

I'm so glad I decided to dive into this book and now I'll be patiently waiting for book 2 to release!

Review: Rival Hearts by Maggie Rawdon

Rival Hearts Rival Hearts by Maggie Rawdon
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author.  This is my honest review.

I am so glad I dived into the novella before this book to give us so much background story for Quentin and Madison because seeing them interact again with each other after 10 years was so sweet and angsty!  I loved how Quentin was so determined to get Madison back.  Like, RIDICULOUSLY determined as we found out toward the end of the book!  And I loved every minute of it!

Madison really tried to resist and I love her sweet soul for helping everyone around her.  She definitely found the right career for herself because she was flourishing when in her element.  And she is such a go getter and just knows exactly what needs to be done, so it was amazing to see her at 19 vs. 29.  It makes me hope I've changed in my personality for the best like she did over the years.

The whole thing with Madison's dad?  Loved watching that go down.

This was a great story full of twists and turns and steam and so much sweetness (mainly from Quentin) that had me with hearts in my eyes.  I'm so glad I got the chance to read this novel and see these characters become the amazing adults that they created!

Review: Before the Chaos by Maggie Rawdon

Before the Chaos Before the Chaos by Maggie Rawdon
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a quick, angsty, beautiful introduction to these characters and how their past is DEFINITELY going to effect their future longer story that I'm about to dive into!  Madison is so sweet and naive in this short story haha.  For anyone to go to a house where their older brother is and think they are going to successfully find their way into older brother's best friend's bed when no attraction has been shown before?  Yeah, not going to happen.  And yeah I guess it did happen with Quentin, but he's not BFF with her brother, just friends and he happened to come in later, so her brother Tobias wasn't on alert, you know?  Either way, Madison is sweet and wants to explore the world and think she has her whole family wrapped around her fingers.

And Quentin? Whoo-ee.  I wouldn't mind sharing a room with him ANY DAY!  He is a fantastic teacher and I can always use some learning haha.  But he was super sweet and is such a good guy, even though everyone around him thinks he's a bad influence.  People can't choose their past and how they were raised, and things happen, but deep down he's a fantastic guy and I just wish more people would be able to see that about him.  I wish he didn't let Madison's dad get inside his head.  Did I think he and Madison were making a mistake and rushing things?  Yes.  But I think they could have had a great shot without her meddlesome dad getting in the way and causing an end to the beginning of their relationship.

I very much enjoyed this novella and I'm VERY intrigued on how things are about to pan out with these two characters when they re-enter into each others lives again!

Review: Moonlit Thorns by P. Rayne

Moonlit Thorns Moonlit Thorns by P. Rayne
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Valentine PR. This is my honest review.

I can't get enough of P. Rayne's novels! I love their contemporary books, but the P. Rayne books are right up my alley!

This book.... I legit read it in one sitting. I was just going to start it and it CONSUMED me in one go! I absolutely love Annabelle and Asher! They are so different from each other but gravitate towards each other from the very beginning. It also doesn't hurt that Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney movie, so this book hit all of the spots that I absolutely love! And I loved the maze and the music! I can't stop thinking about this book and literally everything that I loved.

Galen ticked me off so much and all I could envision was Gaston haha. And the same with the staff, I was definitely picturing all of the characters from Beauty and the Beast.

I'm so so intrigued about the other brothers and their fairytale sceneries. It's going to be amazing to see these come to life and I cannot wait to devour them when they come out! I'm so glad I got the chance to read this novel and I need everyone to start this author!

Review: Devious Vow by Jagger Cole

Devious Vow Devious Vow by Jagger Cole
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Valentine PR. This is my honest review.

This book had SO many twists and turns I didn't expect! Alister is such a hot head and quick to assumptions. It's quite comical to see the guy act like this for once honestly. But he definitely looks at the facts and won't hear anything besides what he's sees, which had put him in a lot of bad situations. Hopefully he can learn to stop doing that.

Eloise is such a good hearted person. Especially when it comes to her awful sister. If I found out my sister did all those things? Nope id be cutting her out 100%. So Eloise is definitely a better person than I am. And for Eloise to sacrifice her life for something the Mafia signed her up for? I give her props she did it but I'd be kicking and screaming the whole way making it the most miserable experience ever.

I'm very intrigued on how the rest of the series is going to play out after these first 2 novels! Very excited I got the chance to read this novel and I'm looking forward to more!

Review: Freight Train by Sapphire Knight

Freight Train Freight Train by Sapphire Knight
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Books with jocks and book nerds always get me to gravitate to them. I guess because I'm a book nerd and am always intrigued by this pairing!

Kadence is awesome. I love her nerdiness but also her past that makes her the perfect other half for Tyler. And I love that she resisted Tyler for so long when he thought he was going to win her affections. That's what really intrigued Tyler too. She knew exactly what she was doing and I loved watching it.

Tyler fell so hard once he decided he wanted a one girl kind is lifestyle. He honestly never regretted that choice and I loved seeing him falling so hard for her.

This was a really good story and I'm so glad I decided to dive into it!

Review: A Fragile Enchantment by Allison Saft

A Fragile Enchantment A Fragile Enchantment by Allison Saft
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I got this book in my Fairyloot box and decided to read it, which I'm very thankful I did because it was a cute novel. I love Niamh and her pure optimistic viewpoint. She seriously only wants to see the good in every situation and she radiates that emotion to everyone around her. She is the sunshine this country needed to brighten up their lives.

And Kit stood no chance against Niamh's personality, though he did keep his gruffiness as much as he could. Seeing him crack each time he saw Niamh and how he started to seek her out to be around her? Swoon. I loved seeing their complete opposite attitudes clash!

I also adored Rosa. She cracked me up with her dry humor and lack of emotion. I'm sure I wasnt supposed to be as amused by her as I was but I couldn't help it, she was definitely my best entertainment.

I'm glad I decided to try this book based off the special edition I received! It was a great, unique story that I won't forget any time soon.

Review: Visions of Flesh and Blood by Jennifer L Armentrout

Visions of Flesh and Blood: A Blood and Ash/Flesh and Fire Compendium Visions of Flesh and Blood: A Blood and Ash/Flesh and Fire Compendium by Jennifer L. Armentrout
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

This compendium is truly one of a kind. And the first I've read before, so it was interesting going from a frictional storyline to a Bible full of timeliness, lists, biographical sections, and more.

If you need a quick reference for something confusing in any of the books published before this compendium, this is the place to go. So much information stored into one location for easy access to get information about the worlds, characters, and events.

My favorite part was all of the artwork provided in here! So many talented artists have their beautiful work in this novel and seeing all of the characters through their eyes was incredible. And also getting a few snippets of Miss Willa's diary entries were extremely enticing. You gain a while level of respect for this woman when you get a glimpse into her very active life.

I also loved the few exclusive scenes in this novel that brought me back to both series instantly. Made me miss both series and wishing I had more to consume.

Also included in this Bible are letters, a newspaper interview with Kieran, each books Playlist, notable quotes in the books and timelines. This is a fun book to have close to you while reading and I'm so excited to see it in print with the gorgeous formatting I'm sure it will have!

Review: Silent Vows by Jill Ramsower

Silent Vows Silent Vows by Jill Ramsower
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Connor and Noemi's story kept me so intrigued! I loved how Connor saw through Noemi's silence and found a way to get her to open up, even though he didn't know exactly what he was doing. But I'm glad Em finally had someone looking out for her. I love Noemi's love and dedication to Sante. She tried so hard to find a way around her father.

I'm glad I dived into this story and got to see Connors obsession over his new wife. Really enjoyed it!

Review: Dirty Like Me by Jaine Diamond

Dirty Like Me Dirty Like Me by Jaine Diamond
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I actually really enjoyed this book!  I've been having a stream of meh books, but this one really kept my attention and I LOVED the characters!  I love how Katie and Jesse meet and the music video of them in bed.  Freaking loved the chemistry between them and then for Katie to seriously take a huge dive into a brand new world?  I'm a bit envious of her not going to lie.  I would never do that.  That kind of world is not a temptation I would touch with a 100 foot pole, but for her to get to experience it and find a way to live her life again?  I think it was worth it so much.

I do wish that one or the other would have expressed their true feelings long before they did.  I get for the suspense moments, but they were both feeling the same way and I didn't think they needed that added drama.  Katie revisiting her memories of Josh?  That hit a little too close to home for me, but what she said was so spot on and true.

I love how consumed Jesse was with Katie.  It just goes to show that it doesn't have to be the flashy girls who throw themselves at people, but rather the little things in life that attract someone and keep the attention of them.  I loved how PDA he was, I mean, that was the whole purpose, but to live a life where you don't care about what other people are seeing when they look at you?  Not sure if I will ever get to that level.

So, yes, definitely adored this novel!  So glad I found it free/cheap on Amazon and dived into it!  I won't be forgetting these characters anytime soon!

Review: Secrets by Sapphire Knight

Secrets Secrets by Sapphire Knight
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

This was an okay book. It started off during when Emily was hiding from her ex and learning to start over. And even Tate was fine. But pretty soon the characters went from scorching to... annoying? Emily went from being scared and fighting for her freedom to going to another controlling guy? And yeah Tate is different than Jeremy but they are both controlling in their own way.

Also the dialogue got horrible toward the middle of the story. And the editing needed another round. I seriously felt like there were two different Emily's and it was a bit of a whiplash.

And the side characters were a bit too much, especially Avery. I liked the guys but Mafia is something I enjoy.

I'm glad I decided to read this so I know how I feel about it. I just wished I liked it more than I did.

Review: Not You It's Me by Julie Johnson

Not You It's Me Not You It's Me by Julie Johnson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I am very surprised at how much I enjoyed this novel, especially given how quickly I read it! I loved the mystery surrounding Chase in the beginning, how he saved Gemma from humiliation but then sucked her into so much drama of his billionaire life. How so many people in his world are now out to get Gemma but she also had her own very serious issues.

I love the hardcore friendship she has with Shelby and Chrissy. Those kinds is friendships are hard to come by and keep but Gemma has so much love in her life.

And then the way Chase was so dominating when it came to Gemma? I was taken by him immediately but I give Gemma so much props on resisting everything every step. Mind you that's because of her doubts and her past, but I'm sure it was something Chase wasn't used to in his life.

So yeah I'm glad I dived into this free read on Amazon and got sucked into this story. I really enjoyed it!

Review: Make Me Yours by Melanie Harlow

Make Me Yours Make Me Yours by Melanie Harlow
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a cute but impacting story. I loved that Cheyenne has been in love with Cole for so long, the boy next door and her brothers best friend. But the trauma Cole is going through is so real.

Usually I don't like siblings best friends romance stories because there's usually so many secrets and hiding behind other people's backs, but thankfully, this didn't have that, and the sibling in question was okay with with anything that happened. And I also appreciated Cheyenne in this book. She stuck up for herself and made herself a priority even when her heart was leading her to a different choice. She knew in the end what the best decision and best outcome would be for her. Not a lot of people can make that sacrifice when presented with the onr thing that you've been wanting your whole life.

And I was also able to relate with living with your parents when you're in your 30s, lol. It's not easy and I definitely sympathize with both Cole and Cheyenne. But that's also for this book is relatable as well. Because it does happen to more people than you would think.

I'm glad I took a chance on a free book from Amazon and dived into it because I did enjoy the story!

Review: Through the Glen by Samantha Young

Through the Glen Through the Glen by Samantha Young
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sarah and Theo are fantastic!!  When you see the individually you do not really see how they could possible work together, but then you see them just by themselves working on a book or screenplay and it all just makes sense.  And their word play they have?  Never knew word play could be fore play haha.  I absolutely love how they both love unique words and use them to battle it out between each other.

I also love how Theo gets Sarah to open up and be more comfortable in her own skin.  He gives her all of the control but also pushes her just enough to get her interested in the topic to expand on her own.  She really flourishes with Theo next to her.  And for everyone in their lives thinking Theo is pressuring Sarah, I can see how that would be viewed, but Sarah is so strong in her quiet way that no one knows about.

Both of these characters are going through so much grief and feelings throughout this book and to see them find a way to heal from their past was really inspiring. I'm so glad they found each other and found a way to get past the issues they both had to really find the future that they want.

I'm oh so happy that I got the chance to read this book and cannot wait to add it to my collection!!
