Review: Empire of Hate by Rina Kent

Empire of Hate Empire of Hate by Rina Kent
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

This book is a rollercoaster ride. Both Daniel and Nicole are characters with a dark past and many secrets that built up.

Obviously I didn't like Nicole in the past books, because, well, we aren't supposed to. And even with the flashbacks, past Nicole is not an easy person to like but we get so much information from her. Present Nicole, though? I really like her.

Daniel also has his own issues and for some,  he's just too stubborn to hear people out. I'm glad he is surrounded by people who make him listen after awhile.

Also, I'm glad I read this book before seeing all the reviews others have given it... I get where people are coming from, but y'all need to read this before jumping to conclusions...

But that's besides the point. I read it and I enjoyed the story, and I'm glad I was given this chance to read it. I'm looking forward to more by this author!

Review: The Kiss List by Maya Hughes

The Kiss List The Kiss List by Maya Hughes
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

It's so wonderful to be back into this fantastic world that Maya Hughes has created. I love how dedicated Kennedy is and how much she loves her sister. She is also determined to get what she wants, no matter what, even if she has to team up with her enemy.

Cole has not had things easy lately and having to deal with that terrible Coach is just the icing on the cake. Seriously, I really want a bad outcome for that coach because he is a terrible human being.

Seeing Cole and Kennedy connect and get past their hiccup that caused everything to go sideways was really great. I also loved so of the side characters as well.

I'm so glad I got the chance to read this story and I cannot wait for the next story to come!

Review: My Heart to Keep by Iris Morland

My Heart to Keep My Heart to Keep by Iris Morland
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

This was a great story. I loved the tension between Jocelyn and Luke, and seeing them go from enemies to lovers was great. I can definitely relate to Jocelyn, being an older sibling myself, and seeing her finally realize that the past needs to be let go and she needs to move forward with her life with no regrets or stress, to a certain point.

I'm glad I got the chance to read this book and I'm very intrigued about Alex's mystery man!

Review: Broken God by Jagger Cole

Broken God Broken God by Jagger Cole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author.  This is my honest review.

It's official: Jagger Cole has become one of my favorite authors.  This book is amazing!  I've been saying that about each book Jagger writes, thinking there's NO way the next book can top my love of said previous book, and EACH TIME I fall in love with the characters even more than the last.  And I've read every book he's wrote, so I know haha.

Konstantin.  Didn't think I was going to like him, after the first 4 books in the series - you always have to have a bad guy right?  Then again, he may still be the bad guy since this is a DUET and I have to wait!!  But, perhaps, I may have fallen for him even more so?!  There is so much to unravel with him that I'm smitten, but still leery of his intentions by the end of this book, so I'm really really wishing I had the next book to dive into to see what the heck he has to say to redeem himself!

And Mara.  Sweet Mara.  Being in a coma for 4 years and coming out of that has to be hard, but she is 100% a fighter.  Going into college, after basically no high school - you have to be smart for that and she is also determined to succeed no matter what.  But she also wants to live her life and experience everything she's missed.  Lizbeth is a swarming, smothering mother, but the love you can feel between those two is amazing.

The tension between Mara and Konstantin?!  Like, my goodness, this book is intense, spicy, steamy, just everything.  I loved every second of it and I'm honestly really grateful this is a duet and hopefully we get more of the tension between these two.  Plus the fact that Jagger loves his readers and is only making us wait 2 weeks before the amazing second book is 100% fantastic!

I can't rave enough about this series, about this AUTHOR and I need more people to read his books because they are just amazing!  I'm so glad I stumbled upon his novels and now I'm collecting all of the books!  Go read this - ASAP!

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

This was short, but oh so spicy! Talia and Roman connected INSTANTLY and sparks were flying between them.

I love getting right into the thick of the story with short stories, but then I'm always left wanting way more lol. Oh well, I still really enjoyed this story and I can't wait for more by this amazing writer!

Review: Loving Rose by Vikki Jay

Loving Rose Loving Rose by Vikki Jay
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I can't believe Rose and Zander's story is over now. I loved everything about their story and their journey to find each other. There were so many great twists and turns that happened. I was grinning from ear to ear because reading their story just made me feel amazing by the end. These characters are amazing people and I'm so happy with their happily ever after ending!

I am so happy that I signed up for Vikki Jay's sorry with Beautiful Rose and really can't believe this is her debut series - I really fell for everything in this story. I am now a devoted life long fan haha.

The ending of this book was perfect. I was bursting with happiness, I couldn't contain it all!

I know this series is going to be a reread for me in the future, because I'm already sad to say goodbye. I definitely recommend this series to everyone and can't wait for the next installment! :)

Review: Queen of Shadow and Ash by S. Young (Samantha Young)

Queen of Shadow and Ash Queen of Shadow and Ash by S. Young
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I am so loving this series! Makes me wish I read the originals but I'm so glad that I am experiencing these novels for the first time.

Ari goes through so much heartbreak by the end of this novel. So much death happens in here it made my head spin!

The storyline with Ari and Charlie is about to get crazy in book 4, and I'm already dreading it. Ari has been through so much, I don't want her to lose anyone else.

Jai is just, my all time favorite.  I can't help it. They better be end game - that's all I gotta say about that.

I also really adore Red and Trey. They just complete the little family I love so much.

I can't wait for book 4 to see how everything concludes!

Review: The Heart of Us by Kennedy Fox

The Heart of Us The Heart of Us by Kennedy Fox
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

This was a great story. I love how patient Easton is and how much Tatum grows throughout this novel. Seeing them in close quarters and finally getting the chance to get to know each other and see their feelings grow was amazing.

I loved seeing Tristan and Paige again, and I loved the moments with Oakley - her story is going to be amazing!

I'm really glad I got the chance to read this story and can't wait for more by Kennedy Fox!

Review: The Truths We Burn by Monty Jay

The Truths We Burn The Truths We Burn by Monty Jay
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

I am in awe of the amazing wiring and talent that Monty Jay had. She writes the most amazing stories that sucks you in completely and leaves you dazed and amazed in the end. I absolutely love this series. These stories are dark and haunted and beautiful. I love getting into the characters heads and really understanding what they are going through.

Rook is so tortured from his past and his present, and he feels he deserves to be punished for something that was not his fault. He may be really dark, but he is loyal to those he loves. Really loyal and I love that.

Sage. Poor Sage. We finally get her background and I'm just devastated for her. She is strong and resilient and tough. I love seeing her break from her parents lifestyle and just living for herself, for her own choices.

These two are dynamite and watching them go into flames around each other was incredible. I couldn't picture two more perfect people together.

Now, Thatcher's story? I'm on pins and needles waiting to get my hands on that book because I know I am going to fall hard for that story!

I'm really glad I decided to take a dive into this series because now I can't get enough!

Review: Scars by Hannah McBride

Scars Scars by Hannah McBride
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author.  This is my honest review.

Every time I read a Hannah McBride novel, I get sucked into the story and never want it to end.  I was a bit leery of this book, because, boy, does Addie go through A LOT of terrible, terrible things, and I didn't know if I could mentally go through what she did and not get overwhelmed by it.  But as McBride has done over and over again with her Blackwater Pack series, she takes a SUPER HEAVY trigger topic, and makes it so I can get through those scenes without my heart stopping.  And that right there is a sign of a true author, a true magician, who can make anything possible with her wonderful writing.  It still blows my mind on how great of an author she is and she is JUST STARTING her writing career.  By book 20, I'm not sure I can take how incredible everything will be, but I will 100% be here for ALL OF IT!!!

Anyway, Addie and Nik.  I loved their story in Skye's novels, so I was ecstatic to find out we would be getting their happily ever after, because if ANYONE deserves it, Addie is that person.  She did so much to protect Skye, she endured so much, I don't know anyone else who is as strong as she is.  Mentally, I would have been done.  But Addie survived to save her daughter, and she did it so fearlessly, even if she doesn't believe she did.  I cannot imagine anyone else who deserves all the wonderful things in life, and I'm so glad we got a book to showcase some of those things for her.

Nik.  I love Nik.  He is so ferocious and protective, but the second Addie is around, he is cautious, gentle, patient.  I can only imagine the turmoil NIK must be in, knowing now what was happening and not knowing that he could stop it.  I loved being able to go inside his mind a little bit during this book and really seeing just HOW much he adores Addie.  I want my very own Nik!  I love how much he pushes and challenges Addie, and I love how much he gives her control when she needs it.

As you can tell, I just love everyone in this book.

And don't get me STARTED on my love for Tasha!!!  I can't count the amount of times I literally laughed out loud with some insane thing she said or did, and I would love to be her best friend forever.

I am very, very intrigued to read Lulu's story, because I know that is going to be a wild ride.  I just want to hug her and make everything better for her.  I know McBride will give her a happy ending, but I'm sure the journey to get there is going to be very bumpy.

I can't express to you how much you need to read Hannah's novels.  I've been on this journey since the beginning and I am always, always recommending her books, so if you haven't read her yet, start today!!  You won't be disappointed, I promise!!

Review: Fall For Me by J.H. Croix

Fall For Me Fall For Me by J.H. Croix
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions.  This is my honest review.

I think this may be my favorite story out of this series!  I love Archer and Phoebe, and was completely intrigued with them during the previous novel.  And I was so not disappointed now that I've read it!  The attraction between these two is off the charts, sets fire to the pages, everything!  I love that they get a physical reaction when the other walks into the room, even without having seen them.  I also love that they haven't been close for awhile, so it wasn't exactly best-friends-to-lovers, but it also kinda was at the same time.

I do wish there was more firefighting happening in the book, but then again, if that were the case, there would be less Phoebe and Archer time, so it worked out in the end.

I loved how easy the flow of this story was - it literally sucked me in and all I wanted to do was read their story even though I had to have a life too, haha.

I am so glad I got the chance to read this book and I know I will be rereading this in my future.  I'm also very excited to read the next book in the series!  Definitely recommend :)

Review: Fight With Me by A.M. Kusi

Fight With Me: A Shattered Cove Romance Short Story Fight With Me: A Shattered Cove Romance Short Story by A.M. Kusi
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author.  This is my honest review.

This story is not long at all, but man does it have a lot in here.  I absolutely loved everything about this.  Seeing these characters fight for what they believe in and to - eventually - communicate with one another about their feelings was so refreshing.  All of A. M. Kusi's novels have real, painful truths that we face today, and to be able to connect with the characters makes reading their stories an amazing experience.

I love Cory and Brittany, and I love seeing them grow as a person to better themselves.  I honestly wish we had more of their story, but I will have to be content with what this short story gives!  So glad I got the chance to read this!  Can't wait for more :)

Review: Waiting for Forever by Alexis Winter

Waiting for Forever: A Friends to Lovers, Small Town Romance Waiting for Forever: A Friends to Lovers, Small Town Romance by Alexis Winter
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author.  This is my honest review.

Stephanie is a fantastic character.  She has been through so much in her life, yet she is always fighting to get her happily ever after, even when things seem despairing.  And I love Ryder - he is so loving even though he's a fire-fighting machine.  Seeing the two of them work through their personal issues while giving a relationship a go was really inspiring.  I just wish they communicated a bit more with each other to prevent hurt feelings along the way.

I'm glad I got the chance to read this book and looking forward for more!

Review: Dear Heart, I Hate You by Eliah Greenwood

Dear Heart, I Hate You Dear Heart, I Hate You by Eliah Greenwood
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

How did I not know this is part 1 of 2 books?! Gah, my heart can't handle these emotions right now and I need more ASAP!

I DEVOURED this book in hours. I lost track of time, haven't had any meals, and now I'm sitting here wishing I had the next book to see how everything works out because I am a lost little puppy now, haha.

This book is so good! Fantastic! Dia is a spitfire and I love how she doesn't give in to Finn's bullying. I'm also very intrigued about her past, as she is too I imagine, and what drama happened there.

Finn is so tortured and broken, I just want to wrap him in bubble wrap and protect him from his own self. I wish there was someone who could reach him and help him past his demons.

I will say, there is a trigger in here for something near and dear to my heart. I can't give spoilers, but just proceed with caution if you love animals. I wish I had that warning because I was balling my eyes out with gut wrenching emotion and I would have appreciated a heads up before that happened.

Otherwise, I absolutely, 100% fell in love with this story and I cannot wait until the next book comes!

Review: Ten Rules for Faking It by Sophie Sullivan

Ten Rules for Faking It Ten Rules for Faking It by Sophie Sullivan
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.

This was a cute book. I liked it for the most part, but I did think the characters needed to get out of their heads and use their voice to talk about how they felt a little faster than what actually happened. But I get that they both had their own personal demons they were fighting, so I can see how it took so long.

I'm actually really proud of Everly and how she started speaking her own thoughts at the end of the book. That took a lot of courage from her, and she really grew in this book.

I'm glad I finally got around to reading this eARC!
