Review: Where the Library Hides by Isabel Ibañez

Where the Library Hides Where the Library Hides by Isabel Ibañez
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from Edelweiss. This is my honest review.

Omg. Omg!!!! So much happened in this book. In this duology really!!!!! The surprises never stopped. Inez's life never calmed down for a second. How that woman survived the heartache she had to go through? I'll never know. She seemed too understanding during all the reveals and maybe because she had to be but I'm sure she was haunted by some of these events for years to come.

Whit. Ugh he annoyed me like I thought he would and then he made my teary eyed. He's a complicated man and I was so emotional watching him this whole series.

I loved this series so much. There are still moments here and there but there was adventure, emotion, archeology, betrayal (So. Much. Betrayal!), and love. I can see myself rereading this in my future to take my time and find the little details I missed. I'm so glad I waited to binge read and I'm so glad I loved this series!

Review: What the River Knows by Isabel Ibañez

What the River Knows What the River Knows by Isabel Ibañez
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

So much happened in this book, my brain is still trying to wrap itself around everything. Inez is such a strong character but she is left in the dark too much and has become a pawn in so many schemes. Seriously I don't know how she has the will to keep going after finding out everyone around her is just lying and using her left and right. She is so sweet and naive but fierce and passionate and all of those things meld together makes for a horrible disaster.  She's very bold too, and I love her spirit so much!

And the betrayal of her own flesh and blood? I understand her revenge 100% and would be right there with her.

Whit is going to tick me off, I already know. Hopefully he's not yet another person to betray Inez. I could see her going on a spree of revenge if that were to happen.

I'm so glad I waited to read this book once I had the ending novel to dive into, because that ending was brutal and I need to see how this all ends!

Review: Athica Lane by Brynne Asher

Athica Lane Athica Lane by Brynne Asher
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Paige and Cam's story completely sucked me in! I loved every interaction between these two and the intensity was off the charts. Seeing small Paige being Cam down a peg or two was amazing because she did not let him get away with his grumpiness. And seeing both of them interact with Cara and Jordy was just so sweet and cute.

Both of their families are...a lot. Way more than I could handle. But it seems like they thrive in chaos so it works for them.

The mystery part of this book was crazy and I felt so sorry for Paige.  She really wants to find the good in people and she is just the sweetest person ever.

I really loved so much of this book and I'm so glad I decided to read it randomly! Will definitely be looking into this authors other novels!

Review: The Director by Renee Rose

The Director The Director by Renee Rose
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This was a quick read. I was a bit confused on how the book started not knowing there was a prolog in another book but I picked up the story pretty quickly and enjoyed reading about these two characters. Ravil may look tough on the outside but he melts so much for Lucy, it's adorable.

I loved how take charge Lucy was, immediately learning Russian when she realized everyone was speaking it. She was not going to be a damsel in distress, that's for sure!

This was a nice buffer book in between series for me and I'm glad I jumped into it

Review: Rainfall by Alison Rhymes

Rainfall Rainfall by Alison Rhymes
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I went in knowing this was a sports romance, but didn't realize cheating was involved, which is a huge touchy subject for me.  But I was shockingly able to get through this whole book and didn't have a melt down so I got that going for me.

Overall I liked this story.  I don't agree with a lot of choices that were made and I have no idea how Isla was able to trust Cillian again.  I'm still fresh in my heartbreak, but the thought of trusting the same person who broke your heart just doesn't sit with me.

I loved Sadie.  I loved Willa.  I loved all of the characters except for Cillian.  So I'm glad I pushed through and read through the hard parts for me.  It was definitely hard but I survived it so I can add that accomplishment for myself.

I liked the writing and the characters so I may be intrigued to read more by this author and especially the ones in this series.

Review: What Did You Do? by Jeneane O'Riley

What Did You Do? What Did You Do? by Jeneane O'Riley
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Okay.... I liked most of this book but then again I was annoyed with it? I'm glad we got a ton of background information about a lot of the characters, Caly especially. But even until the last chapter more was being revealed and I get having layers, but at a point it needs to stop. I'm almost confused and by the end of book 2 I should not be confused anymore.

Also Mandex and Eli? That whole mess? Caly needs to figure out who she likes now and pick one because she's just messing around with both of their feelings at this point and it's angering me how pitiful these "tough" men are acting around her.

Spoilers will be listed below now. Please do not read if you don't want to be spoiled.

How can Caly be human and still keep her sisters powers? For all of these years? It doesn't fade? And how could she be able to hide her true feelings at the age of 8 if she knew everything the queen did to her family? I knew the queen killed her mom and sister.

I also knew Mandex didn't really die. But why did she have his Shadows for awhile and then they disappeared? Especially is she human?

I really wanted her to kill Eli. I loved that she killed the queen which I'm surprised Eli hasn't gotten angrier about that yet. And I know he says he was ignorant about how mothers doings but as we have all discovered, just because one thing was said doesn't mean it's true.

So yeah, I wish I had the whole series on my hands to see what happens next and if book 3 redeems this series for me. By the time book 3 comes out, will I evergreen want to read it to find out what happens when Caly meets her father Zef? Which guy will she ends up with? I bet that won't be discovered until the last book, #4, and will I be patient enough for that? I have no idea.

I will say, even with my conflicted feelings, I was entranced by majority of the book. I just need to start getting answers instead of more questions soon. Glad I got the chance to read this sequel.

Review: How Does It Feel? by Jeneane O'Riley

How Does It Feel? How Does It Feel? by Jeneane O'Riley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book has been all over the place and I have a friend who adores it, so I dived in with higher expectation of liking it.  And overall I really did enjoy it!!  The beginning was a bit rough, but once Mendax started to show feelings in his otherwise non-feeling life toward Callie I was digging it.

Callie is such an interesting character.  She lives in her own little world before going into Fae and she truly enjoys what she does it seems like.  She is so dedicated to go to Mexico for the butterflies, but she is still giving it her all at her current job because she is still passionate about what she is doing.

Mendax... He truly didn't care at all about Callie at the beginning.  I'm not sure I met a MMC who despised the love interest at the beginning, usually they are at least a little bit intrigued.  But I legit think he wanted her dead and that was very interesting for me.

But that twist?  Callie giving Mendax a false name and already being part of the Fae world in a small aspect?  Knowing Eli?  Having the ability to trick Mendax?  I knew something was going to be a twist because Callie was so attuned to animals and that is not a normal reaction humans have, but to find out how she was actually involved was amazing!  I'm hoping book two will have more scenes with Mendax and how he will get Callie back, because I want these two to be end game.  I don't want Eli to end up with Callie, I think that would make me meh because the attraction her and Mendax have is scorching!

Very glad I decided to read this book and I'm glad I have book two to dive into!  Sad it's a 4 book series so I'm sure I will go through another cliffhanger, but I'm definitely committed to this series to see how it all ends!

Review: Leather & Lark by Brynne Weaver

Leather & Lark Leather & Lark by Brynne Weaver
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this eARC novel from the author and Edelweiss.  This is my honest review.

Brynne Weaver did it again!  She took a subject and some very different trigger situations and somehow made me love her story!  I was blown away from Butcher and Blackbird and Leather and Lark took me to that level once again.  I love how Lark is so dedicated to the ones she loves, to the fact that she will sacrifice her happiness to make sure everyone in her life will be happy instead.  She has almost checked herself out of her own life to ensure everyone around her is happy and healthy.

But once Lachlan discovered how Lark was and he made sure she took care of herself???? OMG I fell so hard for Lachlan.  He's definitely the Kane brother I want!  He did such sweet things for Lark and acts like he's too tough and rough, but I just can't handle how much he took care of Lark and the thoughtful things he did for her!!

So, yes, I 100% loved this book and I am so excited to see what the next Kane brother will do on his adventure for love.  But I'll probably secretly be looking out for Lachlan in his book, not gonna lie haha.  Can't wait to add this to my physical collection when it gets released!

Review: Floored by Karla Sorensen

Floored Floored by Karla Sorensen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Yay for free books to get me into reading new authors!  This book was really great, though, for knowing nothing about the author or series.  And for it being the third book in the series, I definitely wasn't lost or confused.

Lia is such a strong woman.  First just going to England by yourself to pursue a passion is amazing and then to put herself out there, find out she's pregnant, and then make altering life decisions while being an another country?  Sounds terrifying to me but Lia did it with a lot of adult decisions.  And the way she was with Jude?  That she had so many feelings for him but ultimately had to make the best decision for herself and her child?  She really grew up in the small time she was in England, that's for sure!

Jude had such a intense life with his family and seeing him struggle with his past when Lia comes busting into his future was really real to see.  I'm glad he knew that Lia was it for him and he needed to get his shit figured out because otherwise he would have gotten lost and hid himself away in his house with no one but Rebecca around.

So yeah, this was a great book and I'm glad I dived into it.  Not gonna lie, Isabel's story sounds really intriguing and I wouldn't be surprised if I end up going to get it soon just to see how all of that goes down haha.

Secret Puck Secret Puck by Rebecca Jenshak

This was a great, quick read! I loved the friendship between Heath and Ginny and how that bloomed into something more between them. I did get asked when they wanted to keep their relationship a secret from Adam - just be adults and tell the people in your life honestly. But otherwise it was sweet and quick and nice!

Review: What Monstrous Gods by Rosamund Hodge

What Monstrous Gods What Monstrous Gods by Rosamund Hodge
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Hmmm, I ended up finishing this book rather than DNFing, which I was a bit inclined to do, but I DID finish it!  But sadly I didn't connect with this story as much as I wanted to.

The amount of love and adoration Lia has for the gods is....admirable, but it was so repetitious throughout this book.  Like obnoxiously so.  I'm sure it was because she was trying to convince herself of the love she felt, but it was just overly done for my taste. I did like the fact that she got so many gods and saints to gift her their powers, which in my mind makes her Queen over anyone else with how often she got "blessed" by the higher ups.  But then she didn't become queen?  Why wouldn't they decree her that since she passed so many tests?

Her love for Ruven seemed forced and not necessarily true?  Like they were the only ones that could talk to each other (at least for Ruven) and so of course he's going to fall in love with Lia.  And Lia could only be her true self with Ruven because he was dead and couldn't do much about her wavering faith, so she fell in love with him.  Plus Ruven has been alone for 500 years, so of course he's going to latch on to the one person he can communicate with.  So yeah, that romance was weird and unnecessary to the story, for me anyway.

I dunno, this book was okay, and I'm glad it's a standalone, but I'm just not quite sure why I couldn't click with it.  I wanted to give up a few times.  I was glad the Queen died but also think the prime minister should have died too, along with a few other characters that were seriously too judgmental for their own good and acted like royalty themselves.  So I'm glad I read it to know how I feel, but it's definitely not going to be a book I collect.

Review: Poisonous Kiss by Jagger Cole

Poisonous Kiss Poisonous Kiss by Jagger Cole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Valentine PR.  This is my honest review.

Honestly, I have no idea what Jagger puts in his books, but I legit devoured this book in one sitting.  I consumed it so much and am a bit sad it's all over already!

Gabriel and Fumi are two characters you just didn't see coming to fall in love with each other, to be frank.  They are so different on the outside that I'm not surprised when everyone around them was shocked to hear their announcement.  But inside?  These two are meant for each other and I loved watching their cat and mouse play for the first half of the book!  It was so suspenseful and got my heart racing so much!

I also loved how quick minded both characters are.  Fumi especially because everyone misjudged her thinking she was shy and quiet, but that girl can come back with amazing comebacks to things people say around her and really get other people whipping their heads around with shock.  Seriously, it was fantastic seeing her show up all of these ignorant people around her to show them who she REALLY is!

And Gabriel is so intriguing.  He can really turn on the charm when needed but then you see him in his TRUE element and you realize you probably don't know Gabriel at all!  I would love to have him on my side, but definitely don't want to meet him in a dark alley.

I cannot express how much I absolutely loved this book and I am so excited from more from Jagger.  One day I want to reread all of the books he's written but he's spitting out books faster than I can keep up with.  One day though!

Review: Lore of the Wilds by Analeigh Sbrana

Lore of the Wilds Lore of the Wilds by Analeigh Sbrana
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book is a bit conflicted for me. I absolutely loved the first part when Lore was in the library learning about new things. But the second part was long winded and took me awhile to get through. Of course I love books and libraries so I understand my struggle.

I love Finn and his moodiness! Asher was a bit annoying to me so I felt the same way as Finn did toward him. And come to find out I had a good reason since he was Syrell, the winged fae royal.

I'm not sure if I want to continue this series. I guess it will depend on how pretty the Fairyloot Romantasy book turns out. I do want to see how things end up for Lore so I might continue, but it will depend on my mood when the new book is released.

Review: Rise of the Melody by Wendy Higgins

Rise of the Melody Rise of the Melody by Wendy Higgins
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wendy Higgins is an author I will instantly read because I fall in love with her words, characters and worlds.  She just has a way of capturing my whole attention with her amazing stories, and Rise of the Melody was no exception!  I read this in less than 24 hours and I oh so wish book 2 was already in my hands!

Letty's whole life has just imploded around her.  Everything she thought she knew was completely false and her love for singing has been obliterated into something she can never do.  But I gotta say, she rolled with the changes and dived into her new normal fairly smoothly.  I would have went kicking and screaming if I were in her shoes.  Her Aunt Lorna sacrificed so much to protect Letty and I love that so much.  True love for someone in your life to abandon everything you knew and love to protect the last relative.

Teague, Clare, Chrys, Nora, and Shandi were super sweet and nice to Letty when she got there.  I loved seeing them include Letty in their lives like they grew up together for the past 13 years.  And Letty finally just got to be a girl who had friends, at least for a little bit.

As always, I have a team.  I'm totally Team Zar.  If Teague gets picked, I might cry, because I really love Xarus and he's just such a mystery that I hope we can unravel and see him open up with his body, heart and soul with Letty.

CooShay is amazing and I love his presence in this book.  I keep expecting this animal to talk because he's so human-like haha.

Safe to say I have once again fallen hard for another Wendy Higgins masterpiece and I will be here cheering in the background for book 2 and any other future books by her!  I'll be getting my physical copy to add to my shrine soon and can go stare at it lovingly!  Definitely recommend picking this book up!

Review: Bad Intentions by Mila Kane

Bad Intentions Bad Intentions by Mila Kane
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Another video reel got me to buy this book and dive into it to see how these characters will destroy me.  And destroy they did!  I love Lilian.  She's quirky and fun and a book nerd.  She's gone through a lot of self-inflicted turmoil with her parents and how they have raised her.  But she's done what she though she should do her whole life and I love that Cade comes in and changes her whole lifestyle completely.

Cade is just.... I love him.  He's gone through some horrible things in his life and even though he's not an angel, he could have ended up FAR worse than he is once he meets Lil.  I'm not saying he's perfect, but most kids his age with the influence he grew up with?  Yeah they wouldn't just be a bully but something way nastier.  And I also loved the fact that him and Lil were experiencing everything in their relationship together for the first time.  That's not something we see a lot in romance books nowadays.

I definitely gobbled this book up way faster than I thought I would.  I think Lil forgave Cade way too easily, but she's a better person inside and out than I am.

This book definitely turned out better than I could imagine and I'm honestly a bit intrigued about the upcoming couples story, along with a certain teacher and her husband - cause that was a twist I loved so much!  So glad I decided to read this novel!

I enjoyed this story!  I initially got it because of a reel in the lunch room and I loved the dynamic between Vi and Soren, and I just bought it so I could see how this story pans out for them.  It was a quick read with a lot of tension and secrets, but I just loved how Vi and Soren were both able to open up to each other about things they were going through.  They found a person they could trust enough with that information and seeing them connect with that was amazing.  I'm glad I decided to read it on a whim!

Darkest Sins Darkest Sins by Neva Altaj
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

This. Book! I became ensnared the moment I started reading and couldn't put it down! Seriously Kai and Nera? The intensity between these two is ridiculously strong and I was loving every second of it.

Nera is such a strong character. The way she changed her whole life in an instant MULTIPLE times was inspiring and showed just how strong she really is.

But Kai? This man takes obsessed to a level I've never seen. I loved seeing this man with no ties, no feelings, no anything fall for Nera and have no idea what is happening to him. Every interaction with these two was amazing and I'm sad to have finished their story.

I loved this book and I know I'm really going to love the next book after seeing both of those characters in this novel!

Review: Catching Feelings by Maren Moore

Catching Feelings Catching Feelings by Maren Moore
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I seriously don't know what Maren Moore puts in these novels, but the Orleans University series is 100% my favorite of all time! I Cabot get enough of these books and I already want to reread them!

Vivienne and Reece are so delicious. I love how Viv makes Reece work for our, but not in a malicious way. She has so much going on in her life that the thought of Reece and his, what seems like, play boy ways, wasnt in her motivation to deal with. She is so strong and the way she takes care of everyone around her is admiring but also shows that she really needs to take care is herself too.

Reece? REECE?! This man. His determination to win over Viv was amazing. His attentiveness, his gift giving, his full attention on everything he deems worthy?? I cannot get enough of this man and I want one just like him. The way he was with Boo?? How he did things that Viv loved while he was scared out of his mind? I legit could say great things about Reece for a week and still have more.

I cannot wait for book 3 and I cannot wait to get this book in print! Seriously one of the best series I've read in a really long time!

Gothikana Gothikana by RuNyx
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from Edelweiss. This is my honest review.

After seeing so many people rave about this book, I think i had a bit of higher expectation that I would love it. But sadly it fell short for me. I like dark romance and I like Gothic settings, so this should have been right up my alley.

I just wasnt able to really connect with the characters... It was more like I was watching their story and not living their story. I'm usually entranced to the point that I'm feeling what they are feeling and thinking what they are thinking and that didn't happen with Corvina or Vad...

I am very glad that two characters met each other and are able to help and support each other. I wished I liked it more. But I am glad I finally read it.

Review: The Game Changer by Lana Ferguson

The Game Changer The Game Changer by Lana Ferguson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.

Lana Ferguson is seriously becoming a must buy author for me! I gobbled this book up just like her other two novels and I cannot get enough of her fantastic writing and story telling!

Ian and Delilah were amazing together. I loved how both of them were absolutely stunned when they saw each other after years of separation. Their reactions toward each other during this entire novel were real and raw and just really resonated with me.

I also absolutely loved how Delilah didn't shy away from things and actually instigated a lot of moments with Iam. For a girl who had a major crush on Ian as a teen, she was bold and took charge of what she wanted and I loved that. Most of the time the female characters are shy and quite but definitely not Delilah and that was a breath of fresh air!

And Ian being this big burly guy who got flustered around Delilah? Priceless and precious!

I have no idea how Lana goes from one genre to another and absolutely slays it, but she does every time and I am biting at the bit for her next release in December! I'm determined to get everyone I know to read all of this authors books because they need more loving! So glad I got to read this and can't wait to hold it in my hands this summer!

Review: Butcher & Blackbird by Brynne Weaver

Butcher & Blackbird Butcher & Blackbird by Brynne Weaver
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I keep reading these new to me authors and end up devouring their books and want to hardcore collect them!  Brynne Weaver spun a brutal and devious tale that I ended up loving from start to finish.  Rowan is seriously the best.  His obsession and meticulous planning throughout the years really worked in his favor and he really knew how to handle Sloan throughout the process.  You could say he did his homework, like any successful... butcher would do haha.

And Sloane.  She's fantastic and I love how she creates art with her...hobby if you will.  These two characters are so out of nowhere and so chaotic that it was fantastic to watch them obsess over each other.  I do have to give them credit that they held out for as long as they did, knowing they were both into each other and didn't cross that line until they KNEW it would work in their favor.  Patience at it's finest right here.

I'm so very intrigued to keep reading this series with Rowan's other brothers and I think I'm going to love them just as much as these characters!  And I know I'm going to need these in my life to display on my shrine of books I love.  I'm very glad I decided to dive into this book and now I'm going to peruse Brynne Weavers backlist of books to see if I need those in my life haha.

Review: Broken Hearts by R.G. Angel

Broken Hearts Broken Hearts by R.G. Angel
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Honestly gotta say, I wasnt sure how Eva was going to get over her pure anger and hated from book one that she had toward Cole. That girl put so much of her emotion into despising him.

But Cole is tenacious and determined, and once Eva started to look at him with more positive emotion, I was all for them to rekindle their romance. I definitely loved seeing him fall harder and harder for Eva the longer he was with her. But what I love even more? The dynamic that his parents have and how crazy different they are, but simply adore one another.

The ending of this book was so sweet and I was so happy for everything these two accomplished. I didn't want the book to end but alas it had to at some point.

I'm so glad I got the chance to read this novel and I can't wait to see Nessa and Liams story unfold!

Review: A Tempest of Tea by Hafsah Faizal

A Tempest of Tea A Tempest of Tea by Hafsah Faizal
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

So many book boxes are doing this book so my expectations were a bit high to be honest. And this book was a STRUGGLE to get through. There were so many moments I wanted to just DNF but I charged on, which I am grateful for. I would have missed a lot of reveals that happened.

But even with those reveals I still can't say I liked this book. It was okay. But it dragged. So much. The characters fell flat, especially Arthie. Jin was cool. Flick was just...meh. Laithe was an annoyance. And the setting? It was hard to keep up with it and picture it. I found myself skimming over passages I think I needed to read but I just couldn't get interested or invested.

My favorite character? Mateo. And we didn't see him nearly enough. I absolutely want a book about him!

The whole heist bit was long winded and failed anyway. And it was a bust in the worst way possible since Arthie just partnered up with the guy she's trying to steal from?

So discovering Arthies secret was neat. (She's half vampire.) The girl collecting secrets has the biggest one of all.

But yeah, definitely wasn't invested in this book. I wanted to be. But maybe it just wasn't for me. I'm glad i read it so I can get rid of my special edition coming my way.

Review: Pack Dutton: Part 1 by Megan Cain

Pack Dutton: Part 1: A Dark Omegaverse Novel Pack Dutton: Part 1: A Dark Omegaverse Novel by Megan Cain
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Shooketh! I loved this book! This is my first omegaverse, and I now see the hype of it! I absolutely have no idea how this author can write about a subject I LOATHE and usually can't continue reading when brought up, and I'm able to gobble up the book, even with this topic discussed. Pure magic honestly.

Hazel is such a fighter. That's not in her genres but she's been through so much that she's always fighting her natural instincts as an omega. Also? The way society is treating omegas? I'd be starting a revolution to take all those cults down and the government. No one can tell me how I'm supposed to live my life. This world's society went backwards in time and I'm too head strong to allow myself to be treated like a slave.

I adore all the men in Pack Dutton. I honestly don't know if I have a favorite? Maybe... no I honestly can't pick haha. They are all so uniquely different and I love each of them so much. I love the Crew has a history with Hazel. Rhett and how British accent! Kellen and his emotional affection that spoiled his anger?  Yes! And Jude! I hate how he keeps saying he's only a beta and he's not as important as the alphas. That's so not true.

This author was able to get these men so individualized in my mind and that is pure talent! Seriously she has magic in her blood, no lie!

That ending was brutal and I'm very scared for how book 2 is going to start. Hazel better not be treated like Logan was because that might be too much for me. (Poor Logan I love him.) I cannot wait to see how Pack Dutton saves Hazel and goes feral on all who touched her. This is my hopes and dreams.

Review: Heartless Hunter by Kristen Ciccarelli (Crimson Moth)

Heartless Hunter Heartless Hunter by Kristen Ciccarelli (Crimson Moth)
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

*This review contains spoilers! Read at your own risk!*

I got a special edition of this book by Fairyloot and desperately needed to read it because it just intrigued me so much. And I'm so glad I did because I adored this story! Rune is a fantastic character full of good deeds and living a double life. I don't know how she does it and I would hate society Rune, but Crimson Moth Rune would be my best friend.

Gideon is swoon-worthy and delicious, but this boy has so much drama from his past that he hasn't even tried to move past from. I loved seeing him flounder with his feelings in regards to Rune. He did not expect her awesomeness and it took him on a ride.

I love that Rune had Verity and Alex to be her friend after what she went through wroth her grandmother. They helped her so much complete her mission over and over.

There are so many twists and turns that happened at the end of the book. I'm throwing a spoiler here now so quit reading if you don't want to be spoiled!

I'm so sad about Alex dying. I loved that he saved his brother and I didn't think he end up with Rune, but that friendship was eveerything to Rune and Alex was everything for Gideon. Such a devastating moment!

Also? Verity ending up being Cressida? That was surprising but there was enough lead up to it that I figured it out. I'm very curious how things are going to go down between Cressida and Rune because I feel like they won't have the same vision for the mission.

I'm so glad I decided to dive into this book and now I'll be patiently waiting for book 2 to release!

Review: Rival Hearts by Maggie Rawdon

Rival Hearts Rival Hearts by Maggie Rawdon
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author.  This is my honest review.

I am so glad I dived into the novella before this book to give us so much background story for Quentin and Madison because seeing them interact again with each other after 10 years was so sweet and angsty!  I loved how Quentin was so determined to get Madison back.  Like, RIDICULOUSLY determined as we found out toward the end of the book!  And I loved every minute of it!

Madison really tried to resist and I love her sweet soul for helping everyone around her.  She definitely found the right career for herself because she was flourishing when in her element.  And she is such a go getter and just knows exactly what needs to be done, so it was amazing to see her at 19 vs. 29.  It makes me hope I've changed in my personality for the best like she did over the years.

The whole thing with Madison's dad?  Loved watching that go down.

This was a great story full of twists and turns and steam and so much sweetness (mainly from Quentin) that had me with hearts in my eyes.  I'm so glad I got the chance to read this novel and see these characters become the amazing adults that they created!

Review: Before the Chaos by Maggie Rawdon

Before the Chaos Before the Chaos by Maggie Rawdon
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a quick, angsty, beautiful introduction to these characters and how their past is DEFINITELY going to effect their future longer story that I'm about to dive into!  Madison is so sweet and naive in this short story haha.  For anyone to go to a house where their older brother is and think they are going to successfully find their way into older brother's best friend's bed when no attraction has been shown before?  Yeah, not going to happen.  And yeah I guess it did happen with Quentin, but he's not BFF with her brother, just friends and he happened to come in later, so her brother Tobias wasn't on alert, you know?  Either way, Madison is sweet and wants to explore the world and think she has her whole family wrapped around her fingers.

And Quentin? Whoo-ee.  I wouldn't mind sharing a room with him ANY DAY!  He is a fantastic teacher and I can always use some learning haha.  But he was super sweet and is such a good guy, even though everyone around him thinks he's a bad influence.  People can't choose their past and how they were raised, and things happen, but deep down he's a fantastic guy and I just wish more people would be able to see that about him.  I wish he didn't let Madison's dad get inside his head.  Did I think he and Madison were making a mistake and rushing things?  Yes.  But I think they could have had a great shot without her meddlesome dad getting in the way and causing an end to the beginning of their relationship.

I very much enjoyed this novella and I'm VERY intrigued on how things are about to pan out with these two characters when they re-enter into each others lives again!

Review: Moonlit Thorns by P. Rayne

Moonlit Thorns Moonlit Thorns by P. Rayne
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Valentine PR. This is my honest review.

I can't get enough of P. Rayne's novels! I love their contemporary books, but the P. Rayne books are right up my alley!

This book.... I legit read it in one sitting. I was just going to start it and it CONSUMED me in one go! I absolutely love Annabelle and Asher! They are so different from each other but gravitate towards each other from the very beginning. It also doesn't hurt that Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney movie, so this book hit all of the spots that I absolutely love! And I loved the maze and the music! I can't stop thinking about this book and literally everything that I loved.

Galen ticked me off so much and all I could envision was Gaston haha. And the same with the staff, I was definitely picturing all of the characters from Beauty and the Beast.

I'm so so intrigued about the other brothers and their fairytale sceneries. It's going to be amazing to see these come to life and I cannot wait to devour them when they come out! I'm so glad I got the chance to read this novel and I need everyone to start this author!

Review: Devious Vow by Jagger Cole

Devious Vow Devious Vow by Jagger Cole
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Valentine PR. This is my honest review.

This book had SO many twists and turns I didn't expect! Alister is such a hot head and quick to assumptions. It's quite comical to see the guy act like this for once honestly. But he definitely looks at the facts and won't hear anything besides what he's sees, which had put him in a lot of bad situations. Hopefully he can learn to stop doing that.

Eloise is such a good hearted person. Especially when it comes to her awful sister. If I found out my sister did all those things? Nope id be cutting her out 100%. So Eloise is definitely a better person than I am. And for Eloise to sacrifice her life for something the Mafia signed her up for? I give her props she did it but I'd be kicking and screaming the whole way making it the most miserable experience ever.

I'm very intrigued on how the rest of the series is going to play out after these first 2 novels! Very excited I got the chance to read this novel and I'm looking forward to more!

Review: Freight Train by Sapphire Knight

Freight Train Freight Train by Sapphire Knight
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Books with jocks and book nerds always get me to gravitate to them. I guess because I'm a book nerd and am always intrigued by this pairing!

Kadence is awesome. I love her nerdiness but also her past that makes her the perfect other half for Tyler. And I love that she resisted Tyler for so long when he thought he was going to win her affections. That's what really intrigued Tyler too. She knew exactly what she was doing and I loved watching it.

Tyler fell so hard once he decided he wanted a one girl kind is lifestyle. He honestly never regretted that choice and I loved seeing him falling so hard for her.

This was a really good story and I'm so glad I decided to dive into it!

Review: A Fragile Enchantment by Allison Saft

A Fragile Enchantment A Fragile Enchantment by Allison Saft
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I got this book in my Fairyloot box and decided to read it, which I'm very thankful I did because it was a cute novel. I love Niamh and her pure optimistic viewpoint. She seriously only wants to see the good in every situation and she radiates that emotion to everyone around her. She is the sunshine this country needed to brighten up their lives.

And Kit stood no chance against Niamh's personality, though he did keep his gruffiness as much as he could. Seeing him crack each time he saw Niamh and how he started to seek her out to be around her? Swoon. I loved seeing their complete opposite attitudes clash!

I also adored Rosa. She cracked me up with her dry humor and lack of emotion. I'm sure I wasnt supposed to be as amused by her as I was but I couldn't help it, she was definitely my best entertainment.

I'm glad I decided to try this book based off the special edition I received! It was a great, unique story that I won't forget any time soon.

Review: Visions of Flesh and Blood by Jennifer L Armentrout

Visions of Flesh and Blood: A Blood and Ash/Flesh and Fire Compendium Visions of Flesh and Blood: A Blood and Ash/Flesh and Fire Compendium by Jennifer L. Armentrout
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

This compendium is truly one of a kind. And the first I've read before, so it was interesting going from a frictional storyline to a Bible full of timeliness, lists, biographical sections, and more.

If you need a quick reference for something confusing in any of the books published before this compendium, this is the place to go. So much information stored into one location for easy access to get information about the worlds, characters, and events.

My favorite part was all of the artwork provided in here! So many talented artists have their beautiful work in this novel and seeing all of the characters through their eyes was incredible. And also getting a few snippets of Miss Willa's diary entries were extremely enticing. You gain a while level of respect for this woman when you get a glimpse into her very active life.

I also loved the few exclusive scenes in this novel that brought me back to both series instantly. Made me miss both series and wishing I had more to consume.

Also included in this Bible are letters, a newspaper interview with Kieran, each books Playlist, notable quotes in the books and timelines. This is a fun book to have close to you while reading and I'm so excited to see it in print with the gorgeous formatting I'm sure it will have!

Connor and Noemi's story kept me so intrigued! I loved how Connor saw through Noemi's silence and found a way to get her to open up, even though he didn't know exactly what he was doing. But I'm glad Em finally had someone looking out for her. I love Noemi's love and dedication to Sante. She tried so hard to find a way around her father.

I'm glad I dived into this story and got to see Connors obsession over his new wife. Really enjoyed it!

Review: Dirty Like Me by Jaine Diamond

Dirty Like Me Dirty Like Me by Jaine Diamond
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I actually really enjoyed this book!  I've been having a stream of meh books, but this one really kept my attention and I LOVED the characters!  I love how Katie and Jesse meet and the music video of them in bed.  Freaking loved the chemistry between them and then for Katie to seriously take a huge dive into a brand new world?  I'm a bit envious of her not going to lie.  I would never do that.  That kind of world is not a temptation I would touch with a 100 foot pole, but for her to get to experience it and find a way to live her life again?  I think it was worth it so much.

I do wish that one or the other would have expressed their true feelings long before they did.  I get for the suspense moments, but they were both feeling the same way and I didn't think they needed that added drama.  Katie revisiting her memories of Josh?  That hit a little too close to home for me, but what she said was so spot on and true.

I love how consumed Jesse was with Katie.  It just goes to show that it doesn't have to be the flashy girls who throw themselves at people, but rather the little things in life that attract someone and keep the attention of them.  I loved how PDA he was, I mean, that was the whole purpose, but to live a life where you don't care about what other people are seeing when they look at you?  Not sure if I will ever get to that level.

So, yes, definitely adored this novel!  So glad I found it free/cheap on Amazon and dived into it!  I won't be forgetting these characters anytime soon!

Review: Secrets by Sapphire Knight

Secrets Secrets by Sapphire Knight
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

This was an okay book. It started off during when Emily was hiding from her ex and learning to start over. And even Tate was fine. But pretty soon the characters went from scorching to... annoying? Emily went from being scared and fighting for her freedom to going to another controlling guy? And yeah Tate is different than Jeremy but they are both controlling in their own way.

Also the dialogue got horrible toward the middle of the story. And the editing needed another round. I seriously felt like there were two different Emily's and it was a bit of a whiplash.

And the side characters were a bit too much, especially Avery. I liked the guys but Mafia is something I enjoy.

I'm glad I decided to read this so I know how I feel about it. I just wished I liked it more than I did.

Review: Not You It's Me by Julie Johnson

Not You It's Me Not You It's Me by Julie Johnson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I am very surprised at how much I enjoyed this novel, especially given how quickly I read it! I loved the mystery surrounding Chase in the beginning, how he saved Gemma from humiliation but then sucked her into so much drama of his billionaire life. How so many people in his world are now out to get Gemma but she also had her own very serious issues.

I love the hardcore friendship she has with Shelby and Chrissy. Those kinds is friendships are hard to come by and keep but Gemma has so much love in her life.

And then the way Chase was so dominating when it came to Gemma? I was taken by him immediately but I give Gemma so much props on resisting everything every step. Mind you that's because of her doubts and her past, but I'm sure it was something Chase wasn't used to in his life.

So yeah I'm glad I dived into this free read on Amazon and got sucked into this story. I really enjoyed it!

Review: Make Me Yours by Melanie Harlow

Make Me Yours Make Me Yours by Melanie Harlow
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a cute but impacting story. I loved that Cheyenne has been in love with Cole for so long, the boy next door and her brothers best friend. But the trauma Cole is going through is so real.

Usually I don't like siblings best friends romance stories because there's usually so many secrets and hiding behind other people's backs, but thankfully, this didn't have that, and the sibling in question was okay with with anything that happened. And I also appreciated Cheyenne in this book. She stuck up for herself and made herself a priority even when her heart was leading her to a different choice. She knew in the end what the best decision and best outcome would be for her. Not a lot of people can make that sacrifice when presented with the onr thing that you've been wanting your whole life.

And I was also able to relate with living with your parents when you're in your 30s, lol. It's not easy and I definitely sympathize with both Cole and Cheyenne. But that's also for this book is relatable as well. Because it does happen to more people than you would think.

I'm glad I took a chance on a free book from Amazon and dived into it because I did enjoy the story!

Review: Through the Glen by Samantha Young

Through the Glen Through the Glen by Samantha Young
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sarah and Theo are fantastic!!  When you see the individually you do not really see how they could possible work together, but then you see them just by themselves working on a book or screenplay and it all just makes sense.  And their word play they have?  Never knew word play could be fore play haha.  I absolutely love how they both love unique words and use them to battle it out between each other.

I also love how Theo gets Sarah to open up and be more comfortable in her own skin.  He gives her all of the control but also pushes her just enough to get her interested in the topic to expand on her own.  She really flourishes with Theo next to her.  And for everyone in their lives thinking Theo is pressuring Sarah, I can see how that would be viewed, but Sarah is so strong in her quiet way that no one knows about.

Both of these characters are going through so much grief and feelings throughout this book and to see them find a way to heal from their past was really inspiring. I'm so glad they found each other and found a way to get past the issues they both had to really find the future that they want.

I'm oh so happy that I got the chance to read this book and cannot wait to add it to my collection!!

Review: Freak by Lisa Lang Blakeney

Freak Freak by Lisa Lang Blakeney
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This was a quick and fast read. I liked seeing Willow starting to explore who she is outside is being a nursing student and i liked that Jackson is more than just a football player. Not much, but his focus on Willow was enough to make me want a guy to focus on me like that. I think I'm getting a bit too old to read college age books because their issues that arise made me miss college problems, but I loved being able to get both characters viewpoints.

Enjoyed this read and may dive into more in this series!

Review: Those Forbidden Shadows by Cameo Renae

Those Forbidden Shadows Those Forbidden Shadows by Cameo Renae
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I dived into this book so fast because I had to know what happened from book 1 and I was not disappointed in the slightest! Elara is still a fantastic person who is always looking out for everyone over her own self. She's so powerful without any power at all. She's so cunning and smart and I just adore her so much. Kage and Rem are amazing in their own way and I love their dedication and love for Elara. Maeve is hilarious and I want to be her best friend. And Vera is disgusting and I hope a horrible fate comes to her in the end.

I am so excited for The Hunger Games vibe we will be getting in book 3 with the trials and I cannot wait to see Elara defeat each stage! Very glad I discovered this series and this author and I'm excited to get this book in physical format to join my shrine :)

Review: Reminders of Him by Colleen Hoover

Reminders of Him Reminders of Him by Colleen Hoover
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I thought I was safe with this book in regards to my heart, but man, the last 35% of this book was rough!  I'm not sure how Colleen Hoover can always manage to make me FEEL everything but she does and here I am just a mess now after reading this book.

Kenna is just... she's so pure and good.  I know what she did was awful, but I knew there was more to the story than what the town thought she did to Scotty.  And I know she thought she deserved the punishment she got, but I just wish SOMEONE would have been able to see how she wasn't mentally all there and to get her the help that she needed in order to process everything and to tell her story.  They just let her sit there and think she was an awful person, but even an awful person would need to talk about what they went through.

Ledger was just as mean to my heart as Kenna was.  When he broke down so many times?  In such a distressed torment?  I just wanted to hug him and make everything better because he was definitely going through too many emotions and not knowing what was right or wrong.  I can't imagine being in his shoes throughout this whole ordeal.

The whole restraining order against Kenna?  Not gonna lie, that put a bad taste in my mouth toward Grace and Patrick.  I get where they are coming from, but Kenna was trying so hard to talk to them and explain her side of the situation and they just shunned her.  Ugh this whole thing was a mess from the start and I just wish there were counselors there for everyone to talk to.

I want to know more about Ivy, the human.  And I want Roman to have a story.  He was everything in this book.

I'm so glad I'm finally reading more coho books that I've pushed aside, though I may need to take more breaks between each one to give my heart a bit of a break haha.  Loved this book and the emotions it put my through and I think so many people will love this story!

Review: Heart Bones by Colleen Hoover

Heart Bones Heart Bones by Colleen Hoover
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is beyond precious in my mind. I can't even begin to explain how much I loved this book.

Beyah is a character that I feel for. She has been through so much and for her to be so guarded at 19 is heart breaking. But I can also feel a sliver of her rationality in life. Not a lot, but just protecting herself from any emotional ties. I feel like I've gone down that hole in the past year and I've moved away from that thought process because of connecting with friends and family. But Beyah doesn't have that. Not even a phone or internet to meet amazing people to talk about her life. And it makes me realized how life can be so much worse, but also that everyone struggles on some level. Beyah's just one of the worst levels.

Samson was able to connect with Beyah on a level that she desperately needed in her life. Without Samson, she wouldn't have come out of her shell and would still be a fraction of her true self. I'm so glad that Beyah and Samson met because they are destined to be two halves of a whole.

This book from start to finish had a death grip hold on my heart and wouldn't let go. Actually, evergreen sheet reading it, it still has a hold on me. I wont be forgetting this story anytime soon and I'm so glad I finally got to read it after all this time owning it on my book shelf.

Review: Broken Rivalry by R.G. Angel

Broken Rivalry Broken Rivalry by R.G. Angel
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

I am quickly realizing that I am giving RG Angels novels. This was such a quick, fun read where I couldn't stop reading because I wanted to see what happened next with these characters.

Poppy is amazing. She took her life changing event and figured it what she needed to do to survive. She could have ran off to college and left her family to fend for themselves, but she sacrificed that easy route and stayed to help however she could.

And Ethan is determined and stubborn and when he makes up his mind about something, nothing will deter him. And that something is Poppy. There were so many swoon-worthy moments this man did that I'm over here sad I don't have my own Ethan now.

I'm a little nervous about Cole and Eva's story... I love a good possessive male, but the way Eva is downright scared? I'm very intrigued to see how my opinion will get changed based on how their story pans out. And same for Liam and Nessa!

This is going to be a great series by this author, I can just tell! Very glad I was able to read this novel and can't wait for the next one to come!

Review: Ruthless Vows by Rebecca Ross

Ruthless Vows Ruthless Vows by Rebecca Ross
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Okay, I trucked through it. Again, it's not a bad book. I did enjoy it. It just wasn't amazing for me. I liked how brave Iris is. She's a normal human who had been thrust in the middle of a war with two divine beings. She did so much beyond her capacity and deserves so much more recognition than she got.

Also? Forest? That part gutted me, not gonna lie.

But I think I just struggled with the prose format. I'm action and dialogue way more than descriptive paragraphs when it comes to my reading preference.

I did enjoy this storyline for what it is and I'm glad I read it so I know what everyone is talking about, but I'm glad I didn't try to get a SE set, not do I feel the need to own it. I'm sure fans of book 1 will devour this sequel and enjoy the conclusion.

Review: Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross

Divine Rivals Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Everyone I know has been raving about this book, so I was intrigued enough to read it. And it was a good book, but didn't move me the way it's moving everyone else, it seems.

I think Roman and Iris are destined to be with each other, especially since their grandmothers were connected together too. And the rivalry they had was cute and entertaining. I admire Iris for deciding to find her brother after the emotional turmoil she went through. And Roman sticking it to his father.

But maybe it's the setting of the book that is throwing me. I really didn't expect gods and magic, but rather a historical contemporary. And that's on me, but it threw me off and never let me get comfortable in that genre?

Either way, I have book 2 in hand and will dive into that. I'll see if I can get my bearings straight to enjoy it. I'm glad I finally read it since it's a hot book today.

Review: Verity by Colleen Hoover

Verity Verity by Colleen Hoover
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I finally got around to reading this book and boy was this an interesting read. I liked Lowen well enough but the whole Crawford family? Thy are seriously messed up. Who knows which Verity was the true one, but either way she was messed up by writing what she did in her autobiography. Whether it was true or fictional to get her head in the right space for her books. If she had to go to that level to write her books? I would have retired.

Jeremy was also weirding me out during the whole book and I honestly don't understand why Lowen was drawn to him. Maybe because she was reading Veritys attraction to him and she was seeing him through her eyes? No idea but they're were so many red flags with him for me, I would have been out of that house so fast, money or no.

And Crew... that boy is going to end up doing horrible things in his future, I can just tell. It's not his fault, genetics and what he's been through, but I'd be super worried to be around him.

So yeah, this book was really different than I'm used to reading. Kept me engaged and wanting to know what would happen next. Probably not a book I'll reread though! Kinda edgy and kept my brain thinking way too much when I was trying to sleep, ha!

Review: Toxic Love by Jagger Cole

Toxic Love Toxic Love by Jagger Cole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Valentine PR. This is my honest review.

Wowzas, this book was spicy and intense! I love the tension between Tempest and Dante from the very beginning. There was so much hatred coming from Tempest for a lot of different reasons, but I absolutely loved Dantes initial response to meeting Tempest. It was definitely a storm brewing between these two and I loved watching it unfold the longer they were in each other's lives.

I also loved the mystery happening in the background in this story that cemented Dante and Tempest even more. Both were determined to end that group. And then the last person? Definitely did NOT call that and was pleasantly surprised by that reveal!

I absolutely adore this story and these characters. Jagger Cole has a way of sucking me into these novels and I end up binge reading them because I absolutely have to know every detail! So glad I got the chance to read this novel and can't wait for the next one!

Review: Great and Precious Things by Rebecca Yarros

Great and Precious Things Great and Precious Things by Rebecca Yarros
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I finally got back into my Rebecca Yarros back log read. After The Last Letter, I was a bit scared going into this one, but fear not! This is definitely not as emotional turmoil as TLL so dive right into it!

Cam is my favorite. So is Willow. These two are so good and amazing and selfless. I seriously love these two and am mad they haven't been together since they were children. Seriously, that whole town was against Cam and Willow was his light the whole time. I can't believe how they shunned Cam like they did and treated him horribly.

I'm glad Cam got the redemption he deserved wholeheartedly. And I'm glad all of the secrets were revealed because those should have been said so many years ago.

I absolutely adore this novel and I'm so glad I finally opened it up to dive into this fabulous story!
