Review: Strip For Me by G. Bailey

Strip For Me Strip For Me by G. Bailey
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Note: if you find this on Amazon, there is only 1 book available, with all 5 parts together, rather than 5 separate books. I got confused, and wanted to help others :)

This is a very quick read, and I enjoyed this story. Ellie is very lucky to have divorced her terrible ex-husband Drew, because he is something else! And in normal circumstances, I think the guy in a one night stand might ignore the girl he knocked up, Andre's history and his attraction to Ellie had a different outcome.

Andre, Dominic, Todd and Kaiden are great. I feel like they would be more possessive and wouldn't want to share the woman they love, but I guess their lifestyle isn't the standard life, so it makes sense.

Liz is a terrible person and I'm glad justice and karma happened to both her and Drew.

I'm really glad I got to read this book, and that I didn't have to wait for each part to be released :)

Review: Savage As Hell by G. Bailey

Savage As Hell Savage As Hell by G. Bailey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

It's official: my favorite G. Bailey series so far! I loved everything about this series, from the unique topic, to the smoldering guys, and to the badass main character. The last books in Baileys novels always feel so short, but there is so much involved in the storyline.

I now need to read the Tales series as I have met those characters, and I need to follow up with the angel series.

This collection of novels is one that I am going to read and reread many times in the future :)

Ruthless as Hell Ruthless as Hell by G. Bailey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I just... that ending. This was a slow burning book full of information and connections between Lexi and her mates Nick, Claus, Morgan and Javier. And I appreciated it because that connection was needed. But that ending came out of nowhere and my heart is hurting. So much happened within a few chapters and my mind is reeling.

I'm so invested in this series and I'm so curious how things are going to work out.

This is definitely turning out to be an outstanding series!

Review: Sinful as Hell by G. Bailey

Sinful as Hell Sinful as Hell by G. Bailey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book was amazing! I think it's my favorite by G. Bailey so far. The premises of this series is fantastic. Usually demons are terrible creatures, yet our main character and point of view is through a demon.

I can't imagine what Lexi went through. Thinking you are a normal, boring human to finding out you are a demon. I think she took it a bit too easily, honestly, but when it comes to the Demon Academy, you need to be quick on your feet.

I also love how resilient she is. She is put through a lot of crap, but she doesn't do what she's told to do just because someone demands it of her.

Seeing her put Claus, Nick, Morgan and Javier in their place is so fantastic. And the chemistry she has between all 4 is very steamy.

I'm very intrigued to see what happens in the next novel! I definitely recommend this book!

Review: Shadowborn Academy: Year Three by G. Bailey

Shadowborn Academy: Year Three Shadowborn Academy: Year Three by G. Bailey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I was so surprised to get this book so soon after book 2! I quickly dive into this story and instantly feel back into this world. Corvina has grown so much since book 1 and I love how she is so loyal to her new future. She's always accepted new things that were thrown at her, which she also did in this final book.

I felt that this book was a bit rushed and too short for my liking, but that didn't say me away from how much I loved this book.

Pitch is still my guy, and his... background was a very interesting reveal!

I have a feeling Ambrose might get his own story?!?! And I'm super excited about the epilogue and what is coming next!

This is a great series and I'm so glad I got the chance to read all 3. G. Bailey is an amazing author - definitely read her books!

I love dragons, so this series was great!  Having them in one file was great because I didn't have to wait and I devoured these novels.  If you love dragons, adventure, and steamy romance, you won't want to miss this collection!

I did review each book separately on my social media sites, if you are wanting more details about each book and what I thought of them :)

How to Quit Your Crush How to Quit Your Crush by Amy Fellner Dominy
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.

This was an okay novel for me. I never really felt the connection between Mai and Anthony, and Mai's rules were a bit much. Obviously they were fighting their attraction throughout the whole novel and made mistakes along the way.

I think the part that angered me the most was Mai's parents. They had this whole plan for Mai and never ONCE asked her what she wanted to do. They threw Grant at her and didn't ask if she liked him. Even though she ridged that for days, they never asked why she didn't want to go to the event with him. Her parents were selfish and narrow minded, and they really pissed me off.

I love how both Mai and Anthony challenged each other and trusted each other throughout their "experiment".

Overall this was a good novel. I'm glad I got a chance to read it!

Review: The Winter Manor by Emily Blythe

The Winter Manor The Winter Manor by Emily Blythe
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I succumbed to the free advertisement on Facebook for this book. And it was okay overall, but the problem with short novels is that I don't connect well with the characters. Everything moved crazy fast and I just want a fan, sadly.

The book had a great message about not giving up and always looking on the bright side, so I appreciated that.

Review: The Neighbor by Brighton Walsh

The Neighbor The Neighbor by Brighton Walsh
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This was such a fast read, and the ending leaves the story wide open. I'm not sure if I'm happy about that or not, to be honest.

I seriously love Lucy. She's every awkward girl in life who also has no filter. I literally laughed out loud when she first met Max and said what she did. And also her avoiding him for days afterward is oh so true for many women who are embarrassed and are trying to hide.

But Max is very sneaky and finally got a chance to "officially" met Lucy, and what an introduction!

I really wish this story continued to see how things progressed with these two characters, but I'll have to be happy with this very short story. So glad I got a chance to read this!

Billionaire's Unexpected Bride Billionaire's Unexpected Bride by Alexis Winter
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I am very excited I got this novel! I'm slowly working my way through Winters novels and I'm really enjoying them.

I love how Celeste grew as a person through this novel. She seemed sad and lonely, a  shark out for blood at the beginning, but her connection with Drake really loosened her up and let her enjoy life. And Celeste also helped Drake get over his ex, which is a good thing. Pining for someone for 4 years is crazy, and it obviously means she didn't care about him.

I am super excited to read the other books in this series and I'm really glad I got to read this one. Fans of Alexis Winter are going to devoure this one!

Review: Heartless King by Maya Hughes

Heartless King Heartless King by Maya Hughes
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I am so, so, so happy I got to read this eARC!!! Ever since I stumbled into the prequel for this series, I've been completely hooked on this storyline. On the one hand, I'm ecstatic that we got Colm's story, but on the other hand I'm sad because this is the end of the Kings :(

I may be one of the few who feel this way, but I was a lot annoyed with both Colm and Imogene throughout this novel. They are both independent and they are both dealing with SO MUCH loss in their past that they really didn't talk to each other about the important things. And that made for a ton of miscommunication between each other.

Eventually they got to the same page, but the road to that point was really rocky. And for me frustration. But there were a lot of great moments too.

I am so blessed to have been able to read this whole series and I know I will be rereading then in my future when I miss these characters too much.

Readers are going to love this novel! I'm so glad I received this eARC and I can't wait until Maya Hughes' next novel!

Review: Love Songs & Other Lies by Jessica Pennington

Love Songs & Other Lies Love Songs & Other Lies by Jessica Pennington
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.

This novel is full of many different things: grief, music, love, betrayal, and overcoming fears. I enjoyed it overall. Vee and Cameron are obviously meant for each other, but they don't know how to communicate with each other. Which is ironic considering they are both are great songwriters and express their thoughts and feelings through that medium.

The biggest thing I didn't enjoy was this book goes from past to present, from "before" and "after". I've never been a fan of that format, and that's why it made this book a bit more awkward and long winded for me.

I'm glad I got a chance to read this novel, and I can see many music fans loving this story.

Don't Forget Me Don't Forget Me by Victoria Stevens
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.

Wow, this book is full of some heavy stuff! So much grief and depression at the beginning. I'm really glad that Luca and Hazel were able to help each other through their difficult times. I love that neither of them pressured each other to talk about their thoughts and feelings, but let it naturally come out in discussion.

And there was no judgement, not really. They listened, understood, and they were just there for each other. All of them were, but Luca and Hazel more so since they both had their own grief to deal with.

I'm so glad I finally got around to reading this novel! And I'm kicking myself for not reading it when it was actually considered an eARC.

Review: All Chained Up by Sophie Jordan

All Chained Up All Chained Up by Sophie Jordan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from Edelweiss. This is my honest review.

I actually really enjoyed this novel! I've never read one where the characters met at prison and just have a connection where they can't avoid their feelings. I wasn't too keen on what almost happened to Briar, but that was the peak of the story where Briar really fell for Knox - even if she didn't know it yet.

Knox is INTENSE. To survive prison you gotta be, but holy smokes. I don't blame Briar for being intimidated by him at the beginning but after awhile she learned to stand up for herself against him.

Briar's parents are crap and I know how she felt when there were tense situations in the house. I hated that her sister kept going back to that on why she and Knox shouldn't be together.

I'm so glad that I got a chance to read this novel and I may have to find out the other guys' stories in the future!

Until Tomorrow Until Tomorrow by Annie Kelly
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.

I really enjoyed this book. I thought the struggles that both Carson and Wyatt went through were very realistic and the way they worked out their issues was very heartening. I loved the connection between these two but also how they were able to help each other as friends as well.

Carson's family is really messed up. I can't believe what her brother is doing, but the really messed up part is her mother. She's not trying to help Lennon and it's making his situation really terrible by ignoring what is right in front of her. I don't blame Carson at all for her decision.

I'm glad I got a chance to read this eARC and I may just have to read more books by this author!

Review: Test Drive by Marie Harte

Test Drive Test Drive by Marie Harte
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from Edelweiss. This is my honest review.

This was a fun book. I loved how Lara deflected Johnny's advances for years before giving him a chance. Though I feel like she could have gotten to know him in 4 years and realized that he's not the player she originally thought when she first met him, but I get that she was busy.

And Johnny could have tried harder than just flirting with her at her job if he was truely serious about wanting to be with her. The years flirting though did alright for them because it gave Johnny a chance to want something more in a relationship.

I loved seeing the two of them go on dates and get to know each other. I think my favorite part is when we see Johnny interact with Lara's neices. You can tell he's a great guy right then and there.

I'm glad I got a chance to read this book and if I ever get caught up in my TBR pile I may grab the other books in this series!

I received this free eARC novel from Edelweiss. This is my honest review.

So the first book was alright but I didn't have very high expectations of this second one. If I didn't already have it on my kindle, I wouldn't have read it, but here I am.

I felt very disconnected from this novel from start to finish. I am glad I got to see how things got wrapped up and how it was solved, but I'm glad it's overwith. I'm not sure if it's the writing, the subject, or something else, but I'll be more thoughtful and hesitant to pick up another book by this author in the future.

I'm glad I was given the chance to read this series even though it didn't work out for me overall.

Spindle Fire Spindle Fire by Lexa Hillyer
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from Edelweiss. This is my honest review.

So... this book is very unique and different. I'm unsure if I like it or not, though. I'm in limbo right now on how I feel to be honest. There were many different stories happening and sometimes I feel like they were intertwining with each other.

I don't really care for any of the characters. I didn't have any desire to see their happily ever after because they were just "meh" characters. But I didn't hate them either.

The world the author built was a bit confusing and jumbled. It was hard to keep track of everything and I found myself skimming pages through confusing paragraphs.

I felt really sad for both Isabella and Aurora. One of blind and the other is me. Talk about a rough life. What I admired about them though is that they didn't let those two things stop then from living. That was just who they are and they learned how to live with the life they were given.

I have the 2nd book on hand, so I'm going to read it, but if I didn't have it, I think I might have skipped it. I'm curious to see what happens now and how the story continues.

Review: When We Were Young by Anna Benoit

When We Were Young When We Were Young by Anna Benoit
My rating: 1 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from Netgalley. This is my honest review.

Nope. Nope, nope, nope. I don't do books with rape in it and in this book,  Livvy gets raped by her boyfriend twice and I quit at chapter 22. Especially after the second time when she thinks "this is my life now". NO!!!

No one deserves that and for her to be so broken she can't go to anyone, I just can't handle that.

Plus the synopsis made it seem like Livvy and Jack were attracted to each other, but Jack had his own issues to deal with when it cane to his girlfriend Delia. Jack really only wanted to be with her for sex and he connected more with Livvy on a personal level.

I was only 50% through this book and knew I couldn't deal with it anymore. I really wanted to see what happened with Jack and Livvy but it definitely wasn't with it.

So, anyone else who doesn't like book with descriptive rape scenes, I advise to not pick up this book.

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.

This was such a good novel! I'm so glad I got the chance to read this and discover this author.

Catie and Caleb are so adorable. If I were their parents, I would have been planning their wedding when they were kids too! Seeing them interact and fighting their attraction for one another was great and makes the reader anticipates when they cave in.

I also appreciated how realistic the author made their struggles about their future. This is a very real thing that happens for high schoolers and college students. Then to add the pressure of their parents peer pressure (because let's face it, that's what they were doing) it would be a very tough decision to make.

I'm so glad I got a chance to read this book and I may have to look into more books by this author! :)

I received this free eARC novel from Edelweiss. This is my honest review.

I have to admit, the cover really snagged my attention four this book. I thought it was an okay book with great topics, but not a lot really happened, honestly.

Natalie is an every day girl/young woman. She has a hard time accepting comments, she judges her likes and her body way too harshly, and she's always waiting for the worst to happen. I think with many of her self doubts she's a little bit of every person in the world. So it was nice to see her starting to open up to others and starting to love herself a little more.

My favorite character in this novel was Alex. He's so not who everyone portrayed him to be and he's such a great guy just trying to figure out life.

Overall this novel was good. It really touched on a lot of great topics that are real life and show how these characters manged them. And it's not picture perfect. There's not a solid happily ever after and it leaves a lot to be imagined for the reader to think about.  I'm glad I got three chance to read this eARC!

Chasing Lucky Chasing Lucky by Jenn Bennett
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.

I was very intrigued by the synopsis of this book, so I'm very glad I got it as an early copy. And for the most part I enjoyed it. I loved the feeling of being in a small town - reminded me of my hometown I grew up in. Josie is a bit dramatic, but her whole family is so I can't blame her for her genes.

The one thing I wish more than anything is that people start COMMUNICATING to each other. In books and in real life, honestly. SO many things would have gone better if everyone would have said what they were thinking instead of just assuming things. But that is life, isn't it?

I liked Lucky but he had his issues as well in this novel. Plus he definitely didn't make things easier on anyone with the attitude he had.

Seeing Lucky and Josie get reacquainted with one another was probably my favorite part of this novel because they were becoming the friends they once were, but also something more.

I'm glad I got a chance to read this eARC. I have a feeling many readers will enjoy this novel.

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from Edelweiss. This is my honest review.

I'm a reader and I review books on my blog and other social media, so I was excited to get a chance to read this novel. I am definitely not as in depth as Halle is into the publishing/ reviewing world, but it was very interesting to see this view point of my life.

I admire Halle and her dedication to her blog and her future with PR, marketing, and whatever else she decides to do. She's pretty hardcore. HOWEVER. She made A LOT of excuses and found really bad reasons for not telling Nash and her new friends the entire truth. I get being scared, shy, nervous. But there were SO MANY TIMES she could have told him. I was actually quite disappointed in her, to be honest (I just can't do tbh...).

And she really took it too far with all of the lies hovering over her head.

On the flip side, I loved her relationship with her brother Ollie. Seeing then connect and help each other (even though Halle is a bit self absorbed) was sweet and heart warming. Also seeing her, Ollie, and her grandfather deal with their grief was very real.

Overall I enjoyed this book, even though I had issues with Halle's choices. I'm glad I got the chance to read this eARC and I can see this being a huge hit with readers!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I am SO happy this book was written! When we met King Damien in book 3, I instantly had to have his and Everly's story! And I was definently not disappointed at all with this wonderful novel!

Everly is very much like Cass in that they are strong female characters who will do the right thing, even if it means their death. Everly was determined to get her lands and seas under control, even though she really didn't want to be the queen.

Seeing her finally tell her true feelings for Tyrion was great, as everyone could tell they liked each other but were avoiding the truth.

And Naiad was a great character. He was very mysterious at the beginning, but he was such a cocky and confident guy.

Damien was my favorite guy character in the entire series. I'm not sure why but I just gravitated toward him the most.

I'm so so so glad I got a chance to read this eARC novel and I will definitely be visiting these characters in the future! I'm also glad I stumbled into G. Bailey's novels and I am now doing a massive catching up party to read all of her magnificent books :)

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.

I've had this book for forever and finally got around to reading it. Overall it was a decent novel. I'm a very 21st century girl, who speaks my mind and I'm very independent, so this life style that Leena goes through every day? I wouldn't be able to survive.

To have to depend on a man and have a man twerk me how my life is going to be literally makes me shudder. I'm very proud of Leena for taking charge of her life and finding a legal way to change her future.

There is a lot of religion in this book. I don't practice any religion in my own country, so I was really lost when the book started talking about the Islamic culture. For those bits I just had to skip over because no amount of reading and re-reading was going to help me make any sense of it.

Overall I'm glad I got a chance to read this book. I was definitely educated about this culture and it made me appreciate my life and the freedoms that I have.
