Review: A Love So Bright by Persephone Autumn

A Love So Bright A Love So Bright by Persephone Autumn
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

I love Peyton and Micah's story. It is so real and raw and something that could happen in real life. Humans make mistakes and take awhile to make decisions and figure out exactly what they want. And seeing these two be so raw with each other and get to know each other was just great.

This was my first duet by this author, but I'm definitely going to be keeping my eye out for more because I really enjoyed this story! Very glad I got the chance to get an introduction to this author :)

Review: Right Number, Wrong Girl by Emma Hart

Right Number, Wrong Girl Right Number, Wrong Girl by Emma Hart
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Social Butterfly PR. This is my honest review.

As always, like every Emma Hart book I've read (which is QUITE A LOT) I adored this story and these characters! So many quirky moments that made me feel every emotion and made me feel all warm inside when I just dived right into the storyline and forgot about the real world!

I love the side characters, they really make the story come to life and give just the extra goodness that this story needed.

I am very much looking forward to the next book by this author and I am very happy I got the chance to read this novel! It's a must read - I definitely recommend to everyone I know! :)

Review: The Scorecard by Maren Moore

The Scorecard The Scorecard by Maren Moore
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

This was a fantastic story. I love Emery and Graham. The attraction between these two is very intense and I was just waiting for the moment they finally confessed how they truly felt.

I absolutely fell in love with Graham after seeing him with the kids in previous novels. I knew he would make a fantastic father and husband, once he found the right woman to fall in love with.

I'm so looking forward to the next book after that ending and how things will progress with these characters!

Review: Mafia Vows by L. Steele

Mafia Vows Mafia Vows  by L. Steele
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing.  This is my honest review.

This is my first novel by L. Steele and I absolutely loved it!  Even though I came into this 6th book of a series, I didn't feel like I was missing too much since this was Sebastian and Elsa's story.  And boy, the chemistry between these two?  Off the pages.  I loved how they met, and then the second time they saw each other and how Seb protected Elsa?  I was lost to their connection from then on.  I love little Avery, she's adorable and so innocent - I hope she always has that innocence.  She had Seb twisted around her little finger the second they met and it just melted my heart.

I wish Elsa would have been more open about everything going on with her situation, but I get why she was close lipped - her trust issues really had to be delved into and she really needed to see how everyone around her reacted to things before letting go of that tight grip she had.

I really enjoyed this book and I am going to keep my eyes out for more books by this author!  So glad I got the chance to read this story :)

Review: Reign of Embers by G. Bailey

Reign of Embers: A Rejected Mates Romance Reign of Embers: A Rejected Mates Romance by G. Bailey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I adore this storyline and these characters. Serei is still learning about herself, but she is determined and confident in many things about herself, making her a character you just can't help but cheer on.

I'm definitely Team Dray and love how he is so protective and possessive.

There are many twists and turns and I'm excited to see Serei really discover her true power and save everyone she loves in the next book!

Review: Take Me There by J.H. Croix

Take Me There Take Me There by J.H. Croix
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

I have come to really love J.H. Croix's novels, so I was really happy to get the chance to read this book. Skylar and Tucker are fantastic characters. Both have had traumatic events happen in their past that have really made them leery about opening up to others around them. Seeing them get to know each other and open up a little at a time was so sweet and made the reader root for them every step of the way!

And, as always, the way the author described Alaska and its beauty, it really makes me want to move there, or even just visit, but I hate cold weather. Despise it. But every time I read about it, I now want to live there lmao.

I'm so glad I had the chance to read this book and I am excited to read the next installment in the future!

Review: Second Shot with #76 by Piper Rayne

Second Shot with #76 Second Shot with #76 by Piper Rayne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Valentine/Gray Promotions.  This is my honest review.

It was wonderful to get Cory's backstory!  Seeing him go from the rookie to a playboy, but not really knowing why was always a mystery, so now we finally know the answer.

I love Cory's family and the way he grew up.  And I love that he is an inspiration to a lot of younger hockey players.  He may not like it, but it's amazing to see how he interacts and talks to them about the sport he loves.

Ande - I feel really bad for how she grew up, and essentially had a major impact on her life choices as an adult.  Her sister is just nasty, and sadly that is her only family left, so while they aren't close, she wants to be.

Seeing Cory and Ande reconnect and get to know each other was great - I loved the chase and the eventual caving in.  Their connection was intense from the start, but seeing them connect on a deeper level was just perfect!

I'm so glad I got the chance to read this story, and I CANNOT WAIT for the next one!  We've been getting hints about these two for the longest time, and I know things are going to explode with tension once that book becomes available!

Review: The Revenge by Tijan

The Revenge The Revenge by Tijan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from Edelweiss. This is my honest review.

I really adored this series. I'm so glad I waited until all 3 were out because I know I would have forgotten a lot of details that really make this story so great. There are so many twists and turns, many I didn't see coming and I loved that so much. It kept me on my toes and kept me so engrossed in the story to see how everything wraps up together.

Bailey is awesome. She had gone through so much since discovering who her father is, and she had been able to adapt well to everything thrown at her. Sure, some of those things took a lot of time to digest and move on from, but that is life and that is so true to real life. But when she bounced back, but did she make hell for everyone who wronged her.

Kash is still swoonworthy and delicious. I love that we got more of his viewpoint in this book and we can really see just how much Bailey means to him. And how his brain is 20 steps ahead. Seriously, I couldn't imagine having to live life like that.

I am so so so glad I got the chance to read this series and I can't wait for more by this author!

Review: The Damaged by Tijan

The Damaged The Damaged by Tijan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from Edelweiss.  This is my honest review.

O. M. G.  That ending!!

This book had me hooked from the beginning, until that intense cliffhanger ending.  I was so sucked into this story and I loved every minute of it.  Bailey is really starting to get more confident in life things, instead of just computer things.  She is learning how to live this new life she finds herself in, but not letting it change who she truly is at heart.  I don't know how she can stand Kash's secrets, though.  That would drive me bonkers to no end.

And she's also not doing well mentally, but putting up a good front toward others.  I kept yelling at her that she needed to talk to someone, to let everything out, but she's a stubborn Hayes.

I love getting the few chapters we did in Kash's point of view.  That man is so serious and mysterious, that being able to get inside his head a little bit was fantastic!  I wish we had more of that!  He has a lot of responsibility and shit going on, so to see his reaction toward Bailey is everything.  Though he could have made better decisions on what to tell her to avoid issues in the future...

I am so glad I have book 3 to dive into, because I NEED to know what happens next and how everything gets wrapped up.  I'm so glad I got the chance to read this series and finally started this amazing adventure!

Review: The Insiders by Tijan

The Insiders The Insiders by Tijan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from Edelweiss.  This is my honest review.

This story started off crazy intense and really didn't slow down all that much by the end of it!  Bailey is such a strong character.  She has had to fight her way through every achievement she's received and when she was presented with an impossible situation, she chose the path that would protect her mom, who was there for her through everything.  I love how she dives into coding and gets lost into it - you can really tell she loves to do it and she's good at it.  Gets her into trouble a lot, but she's so driven and immersed in it.

Seeing her conflicting emotions about her family is gut wrenching.  She wants to get to know them, be a part of their world, but she knows she's not meant for their type of world.  I would hate being in that world.  Matt really ticked me off by putting Bailey into bad situations and then abandoning her.  I get he's had a hard life, but why would he use her like that?

Kash.  Oh, Kash.  I do love him.  He's mysterious, dark, protective.  But he runs so hot and cold, I'd get sick from the back and forth.  And he's always keeping secrets.  It was cute for the first part, but after him and Bailey were getting closer, I wouldn't be able to handle the not knowing of everything.  Definitely a hard limit for me, that would have made me issue an ultimatum haha.

Peter also angers me by the way he handled everything with Bailey.  I get he's nerdy and awkward, but he's also not and he needs to be an adult.

So yeah, this book made me feel a lot of emotions.  I really inhaled this story, always wanting to know the next reveal and I'm very glad I finally got around to read it!  Only because I have the 3rd and last book, so I don't have to wait for the ending :)  I'm really glad I got the chance to get this eARC and I'm already diving into book 2!

Review: Claiming the Cowboy by Kennedy Fox

Claiming the Cowboy Claiming the Cowboy by Kennedy Fox
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author.  This is my honest review.

It's finally here - after seeing Hadleigh be around the twins Knox and Kane since practically the beginning of this series, we finally find out what happens with this trio.  My anticipation was through the roof throughout this very dramatic novel!  I was a bit surprised during some parts, not going to lie.  This is definitely different than the other novels Kennedy Fox has wrote in the past.  I'm very happy with the outcome, but getting there was a bit torturous and hair pulling.  I definitely had words with these characters when they made frustrating decisions, haha.

I loved seeing the whole Bishop family - I've read every book that involves these characters, but keeping them straight in my head is getting a bit crowded, so I had to refresh on who was with who, who had what kid - I can't imagine being the author and remembering it all!

I'm very glad I got the chance to read this novel and I cannot wait for the next masterpiece in this series!!!

Review: Easy Access by Mickey Miller

Easy Access Easy Access by Mickey Miller
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This was a short, spicy story. I enjoyed it, but it was too short to really get connected with the characters. And Jason was a bit too hot and cold for me to keep up in this story story. Stacy, I liked but her personality changed so quickly, there were times I thought I was reading about a different girl.

I'm glad I read this story!
