Review: Brooklynaire by Sarina Bowen

Brooklynaire Brooklynaire by Sarina Bowen
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I thought this was a good story. I think these two waiting for seven years before expressing their true feelings was a bit much, but seeing them realize how much they loved one another was sweet. I'm glad I finally got around to reading this story.

Review: The Far Dawn by Kevin Emerson

The Far Dawn The Far Dawn by Kevin Emerson
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from Edelweiss. This is my honest review.

From the synopsis, I take thought I would like this novel, but sadly it fell short. I couldn't connect with the characters, or even the setting of the story and I found myself skimming to find something I could connect with. Even though this book wasn't for me, I'm sure other readers will be able to enjoy it.

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

This was a great book! I loved the atmosphere between Sydney and Brayden, dislike at first and then a deal that quickly gets out of control. These two have a lot of similar interests and I'm glad Brayden came up with the crazy idea for them to really get to know each other.

I figured out the crazy twist that happens in this book earlier than the reveal and it was all shocking and sad. I will say that I loved how both characters grew during this book and how they were able to get past their hangups.

I'm really glad I got the chance to read this book and I will definitely be in the lookout for more by this author!

Review: In The Grey by A.M. Kusi

In The Grey In The Grey by A.M. Kusi
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh Emma and Link. These two characters grabbed ahold of my heart and never let go. The amount of emotion I felt throughout this novel was intense, and it seriously felt like everything was happening to me instead of reading a fictional characters story. The authors did a fantastic job hooking me in and not letting me off the hook until the last page.

Emma's story is heartwrenching and so bittersweet. I love the adoration she had with Soloman, but I could feel her unease of her purpose in life. She is going through some very heavy and deep reflections, and I just wanted to hold her many times in this book.

Link has so much guilt floating around, which causes him to do and say things he didn't mean. It was a bit frustrating, but I myself don't let peer pressure dictate my life, so it's difficult seeing others let that happen. I'm glad he has close friends who can help him see the light.

I'm so happy I got the chance to read this novel and continue this wonderful series! I am now an avid reader of A.M. Kusi and I cannot express how excited I am for the next book in the series!

Review: The Defender by Gina Azzi

The Defender The Defender by Gina Azzi
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

I love hockey romance novels, even though I've never seen a hockey game in my entire life. And barely in TV either. It's very odd. And I'm also loving single parent novels, even though I don't like kids in real life. It's a strange thing but because I love these two things, I adored this novel.

Both Bella and James are going through some heavy, rough times. They are both broken and they can sense that in each other. So seeing them heal each other was amazing. Throw in Milly and Mason and I got emotional through many parts.

I'm so glad I discovered this author and was able to read this great novel! I definitely recommend reading this as soon as it's published!

Review: For The Taking by Brenna Aubrey

For The Taking For The Taking by Brenna Aubrey
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.

This was a good story. I love how determined and fierce Katya is. I also love how she gets sucked into gaming and how amazing she is at her job.

Lucas is surly and is always focused on his career. I'm glad Katya was able to get him to live a little, but for most of the novel he was controlled by his fears. I got frustrated with Lucas quite a bit.

I'm glad I finally got around to reading this book! It was a great storyline and I was glad to see both characters grow more confident by the end of the book.

A Greene Family Summer Bash A Greene Family Summer Bash by Piper Rayne
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

I love this family! There are so many of them it can be a bit difficult to keep up with them, but I adore all of them and seeing them get together for their yearly party was great. So many of them still need to find their happily ever after, so lots of angst was in this short novel. It just made me love it even more.

I'm so so so happy for who the next book is about and I cannot wait for that amazing story. And we get a few insights on who may end up with who for the rest of the siblings ;)

This is a must read series so go grab the first books today!

Review: Written on my Heart by Cole Gibsen

Written on my Heart Written on my Heart by Cole Gibsen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley.  This is my honest review.

This book.  My goodness, it makes you FEEL everything.  Ashlyn has been through so much, and yet she is still fighting every day to make a better life for herself.  She is very inspiring and determined to find the silver lining, even though most in her position would have given up a LONG time ago.

And Lane.  Gosh, I love him.  He made a mistake as a teen and instead of taking the easy way out, he decided to take on a huge responsibility and has THRIVED from it, which is so amazing.  Seeing these two characters connect and slowly work through their personal issues to realize what special connection they have was fantastic.

I didn't expect to love this book so much - it was just one more novel to read through my massive TBR pile, but I adore this story and I am so glad I got the chance to read it, finally!

Bad Apple Bad Apple by Elle Kennedy

Maggie and Ben's story was really good. I love seeing two completely opposite life styles clash with each other, yet you know they are destined to be. The way they met was really funny, yet cringe worthy and things just went off from there.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

I enjoyed this novel. I loved how Nathan and Madison met and I love the instant connection they had with each other. Once they met under professional circumstances, I thought they did well to curb their urges, but my favorite part was when they all went to Nathan's parents house.

There was a lot of secrets kept between the characters, which never bodes well, overall. Causes a lot of distrust.

But overall I enjoyed this novel and storyline!

Review: More than Fashion by Elizabeth Briggs

More than Fashion More than Fashion by Elizabeth Briggs
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.

This was a good novel. I love how detailed the author got about creating all the different outfits in a way that a non-creator could vision. Also, tv show competitions are intense and I don't think I would ever join one.

I love how creative and innovative Julie is. We saw a glimpse in the previous book, but this novel really shows the wide variety of things she can come up with! And I love that Gavin is a straight, hot, British guy who is damn good at creating outfits.

I'm really glad I got around to reading these books in this series. Hector and Tara are still my favorite, and I'm not planning on reading the last 2 books, but I enjoyed the storyline and the character development throughout all of the novels.

Review: More Than Comics by Elizabeth Briggs

More Than Comics More Than Comics by Elizabeth Briggs
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.

Tara and Hector are my all time favorite characters in this series (so far anyway). I love Tara's graphic novel storyline and how her and Hector work so well for so long via online. The years of working together but never meeting is pure dedication and it shows how well they connect with each other.

The attraction was mind blowing between these two when they first met and I could definitely feel everything through the pages. Their communication skills could use a bit of work, but that's doable.

I love how talented Hector is between music and drawing. A man of MANY talents. I don't envy Tara on her career decision because that is so hard to figure out, but I am impressed that she had multiple jobs to choose from!

I really loved this story and I'm glad I got the chance to read this.

Review: More than Music by Elizabeth Briggs

More than Music More than Music by Elizabeth Briggs
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

For the most part, I enjoyed this novel. There were MANY moments I kept thinking the characters were in high school and not college because of the way they were acting about many things, so whenever I was reminded of their age, it threw me off big time.

Secret relationships are never my forte, so Jared and Maddie having to hide their relationship just annoyed me. Especially considering they were hiding it from their friends and band mates, too. And then their reactions when it came to their deal, only for someone to get jealous or emotional got old really fast.

So yeah, I liked seeing the bands party and them being behind the scenes, but as for their relationship with each other, I was a bit over our by the end of the novel.

I'm excited to read book 2 and 3 and hopefully I can connect with the characters better!

Review: Indigo Nights by Louise Bay

Indigo Nights Indigo Nights by Louise Bay
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.

I really entire this story! I loved how aloof and brazen both characters were at the beginning and then how things exploded when they caved into their attraction.

I love how upfront Beth was about everything she's dealing with when she met Dylan, and I loved seeing Dylan's thought process on how he can't get Beth out of his mind.

I wish both were upfront about everything that was happening in their lives instead of keeping some things to themselves, but choices were made and regrets were had. I do think that depicted real life relationships, so it was very realistic.

I'm really glad I read this novel and I'll be looking forward to more by this author!

Funny Business Funny Business by Kayley Loring
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

Finding out this was a single parent, enemies-to-lovers, comedy novel seemed like a match made in heaven. And for the most part, I enjoyed it. I really loved how well Frankie was with Sam and how she connected with him - got him to open up.

The jokes and comedy was mediocre for me. I didn't laugh as much as I thought I would, mainly because Owen was always focused on his looks and thought it was good comedy material...

Overall, I'm glad I got the chance to read this and I think a lot of readers will enjoy this story.

Owned By The Bratva King Owned By The Bratva King by Jagger Cole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I've enjoyed the Bravta series by Jagger Cole, but I think this one might be my favorite! Seeing River and Yuri fight the attraction that is happening between them was fantastic and completely puts you at the edge of your seat. It was a lost cause, but boy did they both try.

There were a lot of twists and turns, many of which I figured out before the big reveal. I also loved the ending part where River was hiking around with Belle.

I really loved this novel and I can't wait for more by this wonderful author!

Review: The Introvert's Guide to Speed Dating by Emma Hart

The Introvert's Guide to Speed Dating The Introvert's Guide to Speed Dating by Emma Hart
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author.  This is my honest review.

Oh, London and Oliver!!  I love single parents, I love sports romance, I love British accents, so this novel was bloody fantastic!!  Seeing London and Oliver connect and get to know each other was so precious and wonderful.  There was a lot of tension between the two, but this novel is really about them getting to know each other as a person, not in between the sheets.

And Leo is so sweet and funny.  He seriously said the best line of the book and had me in hysterics: "Momma shouts if I don't shower!"  I don't know why I think that's hysterical, but it made me happy.

Seeing the gang again was fantastic.  I would have liked a little bit more ducks and chickens and goats with her grandmother, because those residents seriously have me in tears, but I can live without.  Maybe in the next book there will be more shanigans going on there.

I adored this book and I'm so glad I got the chance to read this amazing novel!  I definitely recommend you pick up this novel, and this series, ASAP!

Review: Kissing the Cowboy by Kennedy Fox

Kissing the Cowboy Kissing the Cowboy by Kennedy Fox
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Friends-to-lovers. A genre I usually have a hard time connecting with because there is so much drama and non-communication bergen the two characters, but Kennedy Fox once again knocks it out of the park and made me love everything about this story.

We have seen Harper and Ethan together since the beginning, thick as thieves as BFFs but always a hint of something more. So seeing them finally take the plunge was amazing and so great! Sure, there is drama. And they make an idiot of themselves during their processing. But I love these two, and this showed how human they are.

But can I say, I cannot wait for the next book?! Kenzie and Grayson have been a couple I have been dying to get their story, because I know I am going to love and devour it!

I'm so so glad I got the chance to read this novel and I cannot wait for the next masterpiece by Kennedy Fox!

Review: A Second Chance at Forever by Alexis Winter

A Second Chance at Forever A Second Chance at Forever by Alexis Winter
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I liked this story. Willow and Landon have been through a lot together, and a lot apart but you can definitely feel the attraction between them has not dwindled the slightest.

I do think that they should work on their communication skills better because they wouldn't have wasted 15 years of they just talked to one another. But I guess they are only human, right?

I'm really glad I got the chance to read this novel. I'm very intrigued about August and Remi's story, so hopefully that will be next. Oh, or Ryder's! I'd be happy with either :)

This series was so unique and different for me! There are so many twists and turns, and things happened that I never saw coming. Sebastian and Naomi's connection is so different and unique, but it works for them and that's all that matters in the end.

I know that this storyline will stay with me for awhile and I'm really glad I got the chance to read this novel!

TAG TAG by Shari J. Ryan
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.

I was really excited and intrigued to read this book after reading the synopsis, but I feel disconnected to this story. There are too many secrets piled up and instead of being interested to find the answers, in shining thrive to see what the final result is. Because of that, I stopped reading at 50% when I realize I'm really not that interested to find out how everything ends.

I'm sure other readers will enjoy this story, but it just wasn't for me, sadly.
