This book is full of emotional moments from start to finish and I was entrapped the whole time.

I have to give Blaire and Simon an applause for co-parenting as well as they did for 4 years. Theo was loved by both equally and they had his best interests in mind. Nowadays parents can have ulterior motives and the child always becomes collateral damage.

I'm also glad they both fessed up their true feelings towards one another and decided to try again. It took awhile but it was obvious to everyone that they wanted to be together.

Veronica is such a nasty woman. I truly dislike her and her manipulative personality. I seriously hope the big reveal proves that she is lying so they don't have to deal with her anymore.

The ending was so emotional. I'm hoping after a bumpy road a HEA will be waiting for these two because they've been through enough turmoil. I'm looking forward to reading more about these characters and their journey. So glad I got a chance to read this story!

Even though I was an english major in college, I'm not sure I ever read anything by Edgard Allen Poe. So to read a YA book about the Poe family and about EAP's life was different, but not bad overall. I liked that I had the same feelings about poetry and english class as Ellen, where we just didn't care.

Ellen is a great character. She's determined, dedicated, and focused when she wants answers. And she definitely wanted answers that were coming up about her ghost friend Eddy (aka Edgar Allen Poe). I really felt for her when the full story came out about her dad and why she was staying with her Aunt.

Gus was a bit strange for me and definitely a mystery. I'm with Ellen in wondering why he never got in trouble about breaking the school dress code...

I liked the history parts and her and Gus exploring places they are not meant to explore. And seeing Eddy become distraught when he codes were cracked within seconds using a computer was quite humorous.

I'm pretty intrigued on this story line and may dive into book 2 later when my reading schedule opens up to see what other adventures await Ellen and Gus.

I absolutely love this compilation of stories! We learn so much about the characters and their dragons that I'm not sure we'd ever get through Violet's point of view. I love all the guest appearances that shouldn't have happened. I loved all of the emotions that were heightened and true thoughts that were revealed.

We learn dragon things and marked one plans and feelings that are brewing between riders. I'm sure I missed so many moments through my quick read that I will definitely be revisiting this soon.

I laughed HYSTERICALLY thrush Ridoc's story, such I'm not surprised about. Though he had a few deep moments that I loved. I teared up through Imogen, Liam and Sloane's stories. Dain surprised me a bit, not gonna lie. He's still on my ban list after his life altering mistakes though. Aaric's was badass.

Seriously, this was phenomenal. I didn't know i needed this until I read it and I'm so glad Rebecca Yarros gifted us with this gem of a book!

I finally read this! I've been wanting to for forever and I'm glad I got it completed.

I connected a lot with Sutton because I also am a bit of a control freak and micromanages a lot. Plus having her own routine and set things - that's definitely me. So seeing her start to loosen up and relax was great to see.

Elijah is fun and yet serious at the same time. I love how calm and cool he is when Sutton gets a bit intense. They even each other out and are good for each other.

Sutton's mom is just plain horrible. I really disliked her. I also really disliked Michael too. Tara was okay but I feel like she was a bit judgy toward Sutton.

I definitely liked this more than Kasie West's other adult novel. I liked the slow burn and the getting to know each other moments. Looking forward to more from Kasie West!

Meh. I really enjoyed book one and was excited to read the final installment but it to me forever to get through and now that I'm done, I'm not really impressed with it. I feel like this book was a bit bipolar with how much it jerked us around from one scene to another. 

First Alira essentially became a trapped housewife. The Alira twin book one would never allow that to happen. She's too strong willed and proactive for a life like that. 

The secrets Kalel was keeping were basically brushed aside and not dealt with as much as they should have been. Those were serious secrets and needed a lot more unpacking than the reader got. 

The whole sacrifice and death part? One it's a bit fuzzy because it's how rushed it is but two, it just doesn't make sense one bit. Was the author rushed to finish this book? Because that's the feeling I get. 

I'm a bit disappointed i read this series just to end up feeling this way. I'm glad I finally read it so I know but overall Im definitely underwhelmed with how this got wrapped up.

I decided to reread this since I have book 2 to dive into and I'm glad I did because I forgot a lot of details. I do really enjoy this story and these characters and I hope the communication gets better in book 2, though I doubt it with their history so far.

This book has a pretty slow pace but enough to keep me intrigued and find out what happens on the next page. I loved the revealed secrets at the end even though I guessed most of them. Alira has been through a lot in her life so far and the amount of guilt she has is a insane. I don't think her life will get any better, especially since it seems like her husband and everyone she lives with in her new home hates her. Kalel is full of secrets and mixed feelings about everything it seems. I'll be curious to see how these two pan out after his devious secrets are revealed. 

I definitely enjoyed this book and I'm glad I decided to read it!

Another new to me author and an entertaining story that I enjoyed! I liked Wrenora and wish we could have gotten more of her backstory because she had been through a lot of insane situations! And Callan is the typical broody, misunderstood prince that I love so much. 

I also connect well with Wrenora that being cold is the worst torture ever and living in a frozen palace made of ice? Yeah that would be my nightmare and I would rather live anywhere else. 

I liked seeing both of them learn more about each other and grow their feelings, and also liked the twists and mystery in the novel. Glad i got the chance to read it!

A pirate themed Beauty and the Beast? I had to investigate further because I love both of those things! I adored Corynne's determination and pure love for her work with the stars. She got denied so many times to study her passion but she NEVER let that stop her from trying over and over again. And good for her for running away from August who would have trapped her in a future that would have tortured her. 

She also fought tooth and nail against Silas when he caged her on his boat. Corynne isn't a girl to mess with because she is a fighter! 

Silas is such a broody, ruthless pirate and I loved every second of it. He was no match against my girl Corynne but it was entertaining to see him try to resist the temptation. 

Loved the reveal of the curse and how it started. I would have enjoyed seeing more about what their lives looked like after but I'll let my imagination run wild with ideas on my own. Glad I took a chance to read this new to me author!

I reread this for book club and still loved it just as much as the first read! Will definitely be grabbing all the books by Heather Frances!

I can't express how much I LOVED this book!!! And it being a debut novel? Fantastic! Stormchaser romance genre is quickly become one of my favorites and I hope many more will be created so I can obsess over all of them! 

I loved this storyline of photographers racing after storms to get the perfect photo for a nature magazine. There's the risk of being near the storm but an artistic aspect of taking the perfect photo. The blend was amazing and I couldn't get enough of it! 

Sloane is such a lovable character. She's a bit too serious, but that's from years of taking care of her entire family her whole life. But to see and feel her love for storm season was beautiful. I felt her love so much i wanted to join her (and I have no photography talent nor any love for tornados...). 

Wes is such a risk taker, chaotic mess, but anyone can see he loves what he does and really gets in the zone when chasing storms. Wes and Sloane are such opposites, but their attraction is undeniable. Even in the beginning stages when they are bickering at each other, there are definitely under currents of attraction that EVERYONE can see except Sloane. 

I absolutely loved this book and I'm so glad I got to read it! I'll be grabbing a physical copy to own because I'm also obsessed over this cover! Will definitely be on the lookout for more books by this debut author!

I've missed Maya Hughes novels! So happy I got to read this early and experience all the angst and emotions that come packed in her stories! 

Lilah and Mason's story is a roller coaster of events, so be ready to go in the ride with them! I feel so much for both characters. Lilah is in this limbo of loneliness that no one can seem to get through to her. She has one year of being through miserableness before she can escape and start her future. Being with stepsisters who don't like her. An absent minded father who just focuses on work and not on any of his daughters. And a boy she thought she liked only for him to target her and make school just as unbearable as it is at home. 

Mason is a jerk, plain and simple. He has a sole tunnel vision and whatever he thinks or is told to think is the only thing he does without thought. He's in a tough spot to protect his little sister Zoe and his mother, he needs to perform perfectly for his mentally and physically abusive dad. Hockey is number one and if Mason strays, he gets punished. So when he decides Lilah is going to be his number one focus, a series of punishments come knocking on his door. 

Ryker, Lilahs friend, it's also a jerk. I really didn't like him. He is living is life and is Lilahs closest friend, but it seems he's only using her to get an advantage on things. Plus he 100% has a crush on Lilah and got so nasty when she was with Mason. A true friend would have her back and not always find ways to talk her away from who she was with. 

Zoe was my favorite person in this series. Such a sweetheart full of love and hours. I hope that doesn't get squashed from her the longer she loves with Mason's dad.

So glad I got to read this! Can't wait for the continuation after that tension filled ending!

Not gonna lie, the cover grabbed my attention and made me buy this book. Along with the blurb, but the cover is fantastic. 

And overall I enjoyed this book. It's a very quick read - finished it in one sitting. Collins is a feisty character who knows exactly what she wants and isn't (normally) afraid to tell anyone what's on her mind. Anyone that isn't Sawyer apparently. With him she's more on guard because she can tell things with him could get intense quickly and she's not ready for that. 

I also love her connection with Sawyer's son Ezra. 12 year olds are tricky to connect with and seeing her bond with him so quickly was great. Especially since Collins doesn't think she does well with kids. 

Sawyer stole the show for me. He's extremely intense and he fell first so hardcore for Collins. He knew what he wanted and could tell Collins felt the same even though she was hesitant. He didn't give up and was persistent with his communication with Collins. 

I did think the friend circle and the hockey world was a bit confusing. Im guessing because this is book 2 in a series and most would have met the rest of the characters it would click better, but as a new reader into this series with this book it was all a bit blurry and hard to keep up. 

Overall I thought it was a good story and I'm glad I finally got around to reading it.

This book by far is my favorite in the series! I thought i loved Malina, but Anya has thrown herself into spot #1 and never left. I devoured this book and I'm quite sad it's already done. 

Anya is a fierce gladiator and seeing her use her magic was amazing. She has no fear and wields her magic with ease and familiarity. Her shadows haunt her daily but she's learned to accept the curse that comes with her magic. 

I love that she discovered that her sister was alive and made it her sole mission to find her after 4 years. She is fearless and so incredibly brave. Nothing was going to get in her way until she was reunited with her family. Seeing her develop feelings towards Alaric was so sweet since she had no clue what was happening, having never felt those feelings before. 

Alaric is fantastic. His secrets were pretty easily to figure out but i adored his fascination and commitment to Anya. Honestly the way he reacted at their first meeting, the reader knew he was done for. And Alaric was oh so happy to follow Anya to wherever she may lead him. 

The ending? The justice to Caesar? I legit cried because it was definitely the best choice to make. Actually this book had me crying a few times with all of the emotion that came bottling over with reunions and reliving past memories. 

I can't think of the last time I liked the LAST book the most, but it definitely happened here. I'm so glad I chose to reread book 1 and binge read through all 3 books to have everything fresh in my mind and be fully immersed into this world. I can't wait to add book 3 to the amazing edges on my shelves and see the trilogy in is entirety!

Finally got to dive into Lela's story! I really liked that she was paired with Trajan as I liked him a lot of Firebird. And I think Lela is definitely a fighter, once she embraced her magic. 

And for the most part I liked this book. Not nearly as much as book 1 though. This had a lot to do with the revolution and the politics which really bored me and had me start skimming more often than not. The connection between the characters wasnt nearly as strong as book 1 so that was a major part of why I felt blah about it. 

I'm glad I stuck through it to get to the end for the reveal about book 3 because I think I know the pairing and if so I'm really hoping that interaction will go off like fireworks! Very excited to see how this all ends.

I received this free eARC novel from Edelweiss. This is my honest review. 

I have been wanting to read this book for awhile now and I am so glad Edelweiss approved my request! 

I loved Malina. She has so much confidence and spunk. She knows she capable of taking care of herself because of her gift. But she also knows what she believes in and doesn't stray them. 

Julianus is intriguing. He knows his uncle is evil and has a long winded plan to overcome his rule. He's brutal and cunning. But the moment he lays eyes on Malina, he knows everything takes a back seat to his devotion to her. 

I love that this didn't end on a completely awful ending, yet more will be coming! It's refreshing to not be in agony when ending a book for once. 

I'm so glad I got to read this and can't wait for all of my special edition copies to get delivered!

I'm a bit bummed I didn't love this more. Book one was great and I was great and i loved the characters and the tension and the friendimies vibes. 

But in this book Sabrina and Tyler are extremely similar to each other, and they are both people pleasers. Which unfortunately I am not a fan of so seeing them struggle to have normal conversations was hard for me. Plus Sabrina is wat too preppy for my personality. Then add in the secret relationship and I was pretty much realizing this book wasn't for me sadly. 

I still think I'm going to love this author, but this book definitely didn't vibe with my tastes. I'm so glad i read it and can tell this will be loved by most.

I'm a bit conflicted by this book. I liked it but also... didn't? Not hated it but im indifferent to it? I'm finding it really hard to explain. The story and the world and the characters were all fine but I wasnt consumed by the book. I wanted to see what happened next but was also okay to dnf it. I'm not sure I've ever felt this way about a book before. 

This had the Fourth Wing vibes with the fighting and training and their crew of characters. But doesn't have the deep connections I get with FW. Leina is definitely a fighter and a likeable character but maybe she's not that relatable? I think she's distanced herself from everything after the incident at the wedding and then watching all of her family members for that she blocks herself from feeling emotions or allowing the reader to feel emotions? I mean, she DOES but in a dulled sort of way? 

And Ryot is just a mess. You can tell he's fighting his attraction for Leina right at the beginning and then the reveal at the end about who his family is? That's a giant betrayal to Leina. Their relationship is pretty much doomed.

So yeah... didn't love this book. Didn't hate it. I'm probably not going to continue reading it if I'm already feeling these sorts of ways with book 1.

I absolutely devoured this book! I love Merritt and Bennet together. They are so feisty and complete opposites, but they just work for each other. I love how Bennett was literally speechless when he met Merritt and that was the whole vibe throughout the whole book. The guy falling first is one of my top tropes and Maren Moore did it so well. 

Merritt is such a tough chick. But she's so gooey inside too. Once you are in her circle of people she cares about, she will go to any lengths to make sure you feel seen and adored. I did think her overprotectiveness with Elliott was a bit much once i met him and discovered his age. He is definitely at an age where he can do things (some, not all of course) on his own and I think it was more of Merritt not wanting to let go of her control. I also felt like her two girl friends just disappeared in the middle of the story and didn't reappear or were mentioned again which was a bit odd to me. 

Bennett was great, though a bit too cocky to be honest. It was just an act for most of it but still got to be a bit much at times. But I loved that he kept up his grades because he wanted to and not just because of hockey. And him liking things clean and neat and hot annoyed that his roommates didn't feel the same? Loved. 

So glad we got Bennett's story and glad I got to read this novel!

This was a very quick read and really followed along with the novel. Liked seeing all the depictions come to life after reading the details. I did picture Mal to look a bit tougher than she was in the graphic, but overall the image really showed the characters personalities. A good story with great visualization.

11 years later i read this again (forgetting I've already read it to be honest). Still have the initial thoughts in my review below from 2015 though I'm not sure I'll be reading anymore as it's not as engaging as i would have hoped. Plus im pretty sure i have to watch the movie and tv show in a cetain order with the books to get the full story, which is a bit annoying to me. 

My original review from May 2015:

This was a unique twist on Disney characters... I was really excited when I saw it and had to buy it for my library. 

Overall I really enjoyed it. I was literally laughing my butt off when I read the entire novel - it's really quite comical. Also as a Disney lover, the movies are always focusing on the princess or the damsel in distress. This was a nice way to get to know the villains, or the bad guys, of the story. Even though the villains we know are kinda crazy since they don't have their magic and have been banned for 10 years (which is an eternity and a half, if you didn't know). 

I felt bad for the kids of the villains (Mal, daughter of Maleficent; Evie, daughter of Evil Queen; Jay, son of Jafar; Carlos, son of Cruella de Vil). They were not the initial villains of their parents stories, yet they are banned from the beautiful island where the princes and princesses are. Why can't they get their own chance to be good? Sucks to be judged by who their parents are. Especially Mal whose father was human. She's half good!

I also loved that Beast and Belle are the king and queen of the good world. Yay Belle! (Obviously that it my favorite Disney character - library, duh!) And their son, Ben, is going to do great things as King, I can just tell. 

Glad I read this book, even though it was a bit slow going in the middle. I almost gave up, but stuck with it and was very pleased by the ending. Can't wait to read more. Not sure if I will watch the Disney TV movie or not, but I will be on the look out for the sequel!

This was a fun book. Always love dragons and seeing the main characters, Farren and James, want to save them and keep them protected was great. The dragon and wielding system was explained really well in this book and i feel bad for the dragons when they are deshiwlded. Humans really can be despicable creatures when they become greedy and think they are above everything else. 

The awkwardness between Farren and James is very YA, haha. They had so much miscommunication happen throughout the past few years and then with all the secrets piling up, they were doomed to be archenemies instead of friends. But in reality, they both are the same deep down and just needed a giant intervention to put them on the same path again. 

Loved all the moments with the dragons. They have such big personalities! Glad I decided to read this story!

My first Emily Henry book and it went pretty well. Of course I loved the Bookish topics, vibes, love and job because I love books. And I could relate to Nora on many levels. So overall I did enjoy it. I did get annoyed with how repetitive certain statements became after awhile. Not everything needed to be restated quite as many times as it was. And Nora definitely needs to talk through her insecurities and worries because 10 years is a long time to be handling a situation. 

I 100% called the ending and the best solution to all of the problems (I told you i was a bit like Nora, though im surprised SHE didn't come up with the solution). 

Libby was... she was fine but I wish she had just been truthful from the beginning instead of misleading. No one likes to hear an announcement that big that comes out of nowhere. 

I liked Charlie. He's so surly and gruff but that's just the first layer. If your Nora, you can see all the other layers he's hiding deep inside. 

So yeah overall I liked it. Glad I experienced a book by this author. Not sure I'll be diving into her back log but you never know what may happen.

I own these books because of the gorgeous sprayed edges and I definitely judged a book by the edges. I wanted to like it. How can I not like a book that's about a reader loving a book? That's what I do daily. 

Sadly though I was bored. I didn't care for the lyrical writing and I didn't like the almost poetry like parts. Effy wasn't a character that I liked. She was extremely judgemental towards Preston which I found hypocritical considering her situation and even though she admitted she was acting that way, it didn't make her a better person in my eyes. 

I love fae stories but this was a watered down version of any I've read. I know it's a made up world with different rules but the author didn't explain the rules well enough to follow. I predicted the reveal about the Fairy King. I predicted the author of Effy's favorite book wasnt the real author. I even had a feeling the main female character in the Fairy King book was real and the mom hiding in her room. Nothing surprised me by the end of the book and i couldn't even remember what the significance of the bells ringing meant and had to Google it. 

Suffice to say, I'm disappointed i didn't like this more. Definitely not my cup of tea but I'm glad I finally read it to realize this author may not be for me.

I'm always sad when finishing a series and I'm especially sad about finishing Selene and Memnon's story. But I loved every moment of this journey with them and the final battles we got to experience with them in this novel. These two have a love that never ends and will defy all obstacles thrown their way. 

I love how both characters have grown so much from book 1 and how much they've both learned not only with their magic but with each other and in this 21st century world. They both have pure intentions (yes even Memnon) and seeing them fight for good was such a joy. 

I hope Laura Thalassa will revisit this world again (maybe a story for poor Candy Kane?! Love that nickname!). I also love the unexpected character drop off the Bargainer!!! Seeing him and Memnon together was amazing. 

So glad I decided to wait and binge this series because I was able to remember all the small details that otherwise would have been forgotten.

What a great backstory. I love seeing Memnon with Roxi. I loved seeing him more human with more emotion when he first met her before he used so much magic that stripped him of a piece of himself. I absolutely love that he gave her her name! Seeing his family and his town with his people. Seeing how he's ALWAYS adored Roxi since the moment they were just voices in each other's heads. And the moment they met in person and he stole her frim being married only to be wed to him 20 minutes later? I wouldn't love that in person but for their story I was entrapped. 

And Roxi. She's a spitfire! She's definitely a survivor since the moment she lost her family as a child and seeing her absolutely thrive when she's with Memnon and his tribe? I adore that so much! She had to get past her own beliefs to transition to Memnon's lifestyle but I don't think that made her weak or meek. Instead she grew into an amazing woman and witch that was able to take care of herself and the people she loved. 

I am glad Laura Thalassa wrote this book because now we can see the differences between Roxi and Selene. They may be the same soul but they are different people with different ways of doing things. Deep down they have the same goals but that doesn't mean they will get to the resolution the same way. 

So excited to read the conclusion to this love story!

I'm so glad I decided to wait for the whole series to binge because these endings are brutal! I once again got sucked into this story of Selene and Memnon. His determination and dedication to Selene is uncanny. Memnon's sole mission on earth is Selene. And power. He has so many secrets that will continue to keep Selene guarded, at least a little bit. Our at least it would be if I were in her shoes. 

Selene has come so far since book 1 with her confidence! Getting her memories back really was the best thing for her and being able to do magic with no repercussion has definitely allowed her to learn more. She's also extremely kind hearted and always looking out for everyone extremely tough most of them are ill intent.

Review: Bewitched by Laura Thalassa

With the last book coming out in this series, I decided to binge read all together and I loved it just as much as I did 3 years ago when I read it the first time. I definitely still love the "Mummy/Indiana Jones" vibes from the Amazon adventure and I still like Memnon more than I probably should have. Very excited to dive into book 2!

I received this free eARC novel from Edelweiss.  This is my honest review. 

I am quickly becoming a Laura Thalassa fan, which I knew would happen just by reading the synopsis of all of her novels.  This novel was so unique and different from many of the other books I've read in this genre.  It had a lot of mix going on in it, which really kept me on my toes.  Witchcraft, magical school, a flight to the Amazon forest, The Mummy vibes, Indiana Jones vibes, new adult feel being in school, other supernaturals?  I mean, all amazing things in my mind! 

I cannot imagine being Selene and losing her memories every time she does magic, which she loves so much.  If I were in her shoes, I'd forego magic and keep my memories - relying on past me to make notes wouldn't cut it.  But Selene makes it work for the most part, until she starts to use A LOT of magic and loses A LOT of memories. 

Memnon.  Am I supposed to hate him?  I'm not sure, but I really don't hate him lol.  I think he did bad stuff, but do I care?  Not really haha.  I love how in tuned he is with Selene.  I wouldn't like being called another name, but over time they grew to know the "today" versions of each other and I dunno, I just really liked all of the interactions between these two.  

I'm very very interested after the ending of this book to see what is going to happen.  Because things WILL happen and I will be along for the ride right away!

I'm so glad I got the chance to read this novel and I already have the physical copy on order to have this pretty book in my possession!

Review: The Villain We Tempt by Jagger Cole

I barely put this book down, I was so engrossed by it! I love how addicting Jagger Cole's books are and how they always get me out of a book slump! 

Galina and Lochlan are *chef's kiss* together. You wouldn't think so on surface level but with their alter egos, they both deep down enjoy the same things. I was amazed at how long an identity was kept from the other one. I definitely couldn't be in their shoes cause I would want to know immediately! 

The smark and sass between these two were great along with the intense chemistry! I'm not sure how either are keeping their online identity a secret from their friends, but it seems to work for both of them. 

I was also a bit surprised that this book happened at the same time as book 1 in this series, so kudos to Jagger for, I'm sure, the meticulous notes that had to be kept to keep the same time line! 

So glad this book had beef created and we got this delicious unhinged book from this author! Can't wait for the next couple!

Review: Obsessed by Jolie Vines

This is my first book by this author and I enjoyed it! I haven't read the prior series that goes through the older character HEA stories but it wasn't needed to enjoy this book. I'm sure i missed some Easter eggs here or there but overall the author did a great job bringing in a new reader without feeling lost. 

I enjoyed Cait and Lochie together. With Isla too of course. Cait is extremely aware of her thoughts and choices and doesn't let anyone put her down which i love. Her determination to become a mom is so pure and full and she's not going to let anything get in her way. 

Lochie is so protective of Isla, it melts my hearts. He loves that little girl and will do anything to make sure she stays safe. Seeing him add Cait into his heart with Isla was great. He was a bit rocky at the beginning, but once this man makes a decision, he's in it for the long haul. 

Glad I decided to read this story!

Review: Hate Mates by Mickey Miller

I haven't read this book in 6 years and I gotta say, I didn't love it as much the 2nd time around. I'm also in a completely different place in life, so I'm looking at this college story with a different pair of eyes. I did so like the things i mentioned in my first review below. I had more issues due to plot holes and grammatical or geographical mistakes. Still enjoy Mickey Miller's books though! 

My review from March 13, 2020:

I was stunned when the location of this novel was revealed: Galesburg, IL!  I had to go there quite often when I was growing up.  Even more crazy?  DJ is from Davenport, IA and I lived 30 minutes from there!  So this book amazed me in just the location of the novel, without even getting to the storyline and characters!

It's quick to read, a funny situation, and a lot of self-reflecting for both characters.  I love how spunky and down to earth Alex is.  She is a serious student because of her tortured past and she's very mature for a freshman in college.  Most college students are about partying and having sex every day, but Alex definitely wants a jump start on her career and is working very hard to get it. 

And DJ.  I love that him and his athletic friends don't fit the standard type of dumb jocks.  When they were hanging out together, I loved the topics they were talking about and how not everything was about that "hot girl" this and that.  He is the standard guy who everyone thinks he has it all, but really his life is a crumbling mess.  But the way he responds to everything is very level-headed (well, except when it comes to Alex that is).  

I loved seeing Alex and DJ interact with each other - when they weren't avoiding temptation and staying away from each other.  I also loved seeing the friendships with other students at school and not having this book be just about their feelings for one another.  College is definitely a place to create a new life, make new friends, and honestly get a feel for how their lives are going to be in the future.  DJ and Alex are definitely going to have many adventures for their future!

This was my first book by Mickey Miller, but you can bet it won't be the last!  I was pleasantly surprised by this novel and now I'm intrigued to buy more from him to see if they are all like this one.  Though this one might be my favorite just because it reminded me of home and growing up myself, being that it was in locations I grew up!

Kasie West sure does like to make her characters locked in a room or space, haha! 

I liked Beau and Indy's story. Or really, Indy's story since we are following her home and school life. I can't imagine being in high school and not being able to tell my closest friends about a life altering moment like the one Indy went through. I can definitely understand why she acted the way she did and why her friends acted the way they did. This story was very relatable with everyone's reactions and emotions. 

Im also glad that it didn't take forever for Indy to reconnect with everyone in the scheme of things. Letting those things fester is never good for anyone. She got lodt for a little bit but after forced proximity, finally grew the courage to talk about what she went through and what happened. 

Very glad i finally read this and will hopefully be playing catch up with more Kasie West books soon!

This was a very quick read! And I actually liked it more than I expected. I liked seeing Colt and Addie shift their priorities for their little one and finding out what works and doesn't. And of course we still had intense and brooding Colt to watch over his girls. I liked seeing Addie grow stronger with her anxiety throughout this journey. Glad I decided to dive into it really fast to get the ending to their story.

This was a different style of story than I'm used to reading. It's not a bad thing but it took me longer to get into the novel and to keep up with things sometimes. 

The biggest thing is the two main characters, Colt and Addie, have been married for 13 years. Most, if not all, of the romances i read, start when the characters meet and we get to experience all of the first time moments. I like those first time moments to really understand who the characters are and how they overcome issues throughout that sensitive period. 

Also the amount of science talk went over my head. I love that Colt is super science smart and can do great things with his company but anytime they got into that topic of conversation i lost interest. 

It took me awhile to get over the third person POV, not gonna lie, but i experience got used to it. And, on a personal note, I couldn't put myself in their shoes when they talked about wanting a baby. Since I don't have or wasn't kids, I found those moments to be fine but repetitive.

Now, it sounds like I disliked this book, but i really didn't. I thought it was unique and I liked how determined the characters were to make a difference. They have so many obstacles to overcome but it didn't scare them to back down. 

I'm glad i decided to read this and I'm going to get the novella just to see what happens, even though I'm sure it will be much of the same feelings I have for this book. 

On a separate note i think Amber should get her own story. And Nash! Just not together lol

I thought this book was fine. I didn't love it or hate it. I got through it pretty quickly but I also feel like not a lot really happened? It also felt like another version of hunger game meets the selection so I wasnt all that shocked by the betrayals and back stabbing that happened. I read this because a SE is coming to me soon to decide if I'm going to keep it. I suspect I'll not be keeping it but I'm glad i read it to decide if I like it enough or not.

I thought this book was okay. There was A LOT of repetition that could have been cut and a lot of giving second or third or fourth chances for characters that needed absolutely none. I thought the story was good and I liked the main characters. But this was an 800 page book that could have definitely been cut to about 450-500. Sebastian and Harley were great characters though and I loved Dylan and Cassidy. Glad I finally got around to reading it and seeing what their story was all about.

I am absolutely loving this series by Catherine Cowles! It's my first dip into her books but I have a feeling I'll be reading the whole backlog soon. 

I really enjoyed Maverick and Aster's story! With the amount of passion they've shown in book 1 and 2, I knew they would have a dramatic novel to get through the past issues. This is a very slow burn and had a bit of a different vibe than the previous books since it had a different overarching story line. The banter and sarcasm between these two were top notch. Still has the Archer drama of course, and getting bigger with each book!

I YET AGAIN did not see the prime suspect coming until right before the reveal. I'm not sure what magic Catherine Cowles has, but I'm always surprised by who the culprit is for each book so far and I'm LOVING that! 

I did, however, predict the couple for book 4 way before that reveal so I was pleased with myself at that moment :)

This series has been in my head since I read book 1 and I don't foresee that changing until we get to the end of the series. I'm not sure why I love it so much, but I adore everything about them including the suspense/mystery story line, the Archer family and their upbringing, WAYLON and his shenanigan's. It's a great mix of so many pieces that blend really well together and leaves a lasting impression on me. I'm so glad I stumbled upon this and now I will be waiting forever for the next installment since I was blessed enough to read this story so early! Definitely a must read series for me!

This was an okay read. Fast to get through but after the initial attraction of Sean and Layla being obsessed over each other, I kinda grew bored of them repeating the same things over and over. I definitely liked the banter and push/ pull of the beginning part of their relationship. The storyline about her mom was a nice twist and seeing Layla be the strong FMC was great. Overall glad I read it so I know I dont need to own a copy.

At first I was really intrigued with this story and the characters, even if the world building was poor and i felt more lost than anything. But as the book went on i lost interest in the characters with the back and forth secrets with no answers. Once the answers arrive, i was pretty checked out and just wanted to complete the book to see if it got any better. Which it didn't for me sadly. I wont be continuing the series, but I am glad to have read it to not wonder if I would like it or not anymore.

Review: Twilight Tides by Samantha Young

I have been so excited for Murray and Londons story and i was not disappointed with this novel! I love the angst and healing that occurred in this book. By both main characters as well as side characters. 

Watching London start to take control of her life after years of abuse and emotional trauma was so inspiring and emotional. I definitely teared up quite a few times during this book! I loved how she got her confidence back and started to trust more and more people. It was a slow healing for her but time means noting when you've experienced this level of abuse.

Murray is such an amazing character and a fantastic dad. He's also going through his own trust issues after what his ex, Jill, has put him through. Im not sure how he had the strength to drop off his daughter, Kelly, with her all those times. 

I loved seeing both Murray and London getting to know each other and realizing how deep their feelings are towards each other. 

I also loved seeing all the characters from Harbor Island get together often and keeping their friendships strong.

So glad I got the chance to read this! As always, I adore Samantha Young's novels and am always excited for more!

I received this free eARC novel from Edelweiss. This is my honest review.

I love a book with a library in it. I think it's my weakness haha. So I was very intrigued to dive into this book with a library in the title! And I enjoyed it. There were a lot of twists and turns, secrets and reveals. I called very quickly what Kierse is early in the book so I wasn't surprised by that.

I loved that Grave made Kierse read so many books. I mean he had a reason, but seeing a character thrust books at another and them talking about it? Love. I don't understand why Grave had to keep so many things a secret from her. I mean I do get it, I don't like or agree with it. These two kept so many things from each other and kept themselves so distant from each other I just wanted to scream at them.

I love Kierse's dedication to get friends, her found family. She is so fierce when it comes to them. But I'm also glad they will be more protected because of the reveal at the end. I'm tired of them being collateral damage to Kierse.

I'm very curious to see how this all ends and who Kierse ends up with. I have my team, but it's not a strong feeling yet so I could probably be swayed if needed for now. I'm glad I got the chance to read this story and I'm excited to get the pretty deluxe edition when it releases!

My mind is honestly a bit overwhelmed from this book! I know the beginning was long winded but throughout the whole book so much is thrown at us. I honestly need to reread after just finishing to obtain all the details. 

Jovie is a badass. That's the best description I got. She has sacrificed so much throughout her life and she's still making sacrifices every day. She doesn't love a lot of people, but the ones she does, she loves them fiercely. And she's always keeping her thoughts hidden. I bet it's exhausting being her. 

Acker. I seriously love this man. I knew his obsession with Jovie wouldn't keep him away forever. But four years is such a long time!! But the moment they locked eyes? Swoon! His determination is uncanning. What his father made him do? My jaw literally dropped and I gasped. He also sacrificed everything solely for his love for Jovie and I couldn't be happier. 

I am mad though that the BIG battle moment where Jovie used her gift?! I want that scene through her point of view!! We need this as a bonus scene or something because I was WAITING for that moment!!!! 

Messer is the best in this book. His conversation about how much Jovie means to him literally had me tearing up.  

Kai is an ass. Seriously over this dude. 

I'm so glad we got Jovie and Ackers ending! And we didn't get an awful ending like book 1. Im pretty sure I've guessed correctly on what's coming next and I'm so excited for that adventure!

This book had blown me away with the amount of twists and turns and secrets and deceiving and just all around shock that comes out of nowhere. I have 1,000 questions with no answers and I have been thinking about the surprises all day wondering how I missed everything!

Brynne...Jovie? I'm calling her Jovie. She's extremely determined, a fighter, smart and so much more. Seeing her get shunned over and over again was hard to see because deep down everyone wants to be accepted. But she didn't let anyone see how she felt and kept making sure she was going toward her goal.

Acker is an enigma. I was drawn to him right away. There are so many personalities to him, but under all of it i can tell he's just a man wanting to find his happily ever after.

That ending? THAT ENDING?! I literally sat there staying at the book wondering what on earth happened because I didn't see any of it at all. So many things got revealed and I felt like I was short circuiting. It was so much all at once with no warning and I feel a reread happening in my future. I'm so sad book 2 is so far away!

I honestly didn't expect to love this book as much as I did. I'm not sure love is the right word, but I'm obsessed to find out more and will be impatiently waiting until I can hopefully get some answers!

Ahh the last book! I loved seeing all 4 omegas get their happily ever after... because of Felix! Who is my favorite out of all characters! 

Summer is a really strong omega who is determined to get her dreams achieved. I loved seeing this confidence and drive in her because she kicks butt!

As always i have a favorite of the pack men. Out of Jae, Lucien and Mercer, I'd probably pick Mercer. Though Jae is a close second with their backstory. But the brooding grumpy type wins out once again. 

I liked how different this story was from the others and that there was a unique spin to it. I'm glad I was able to binge read all of these books at the same time because seeing the girls friendship grow throughout the books was priceless!

I enjoyed diving into Lucy, Wilder, King and Leos story! Lucy is always viewed as so bubbly, but she definitely has a lot of self doubt and anxiety due to her exs, which is so sad. I'm glad she finally got her confidence back once her pack finally got their act together.

Wilder is my favorite. He's so grumpy any gruff and seeing him melt for Lucy was so sweet. King is so full of himself but also not at the same time. And Leo is so focused on being strong and taking care of his omega that he doesn't see what she really needs at the beginning. But thankfully they all get their priorities figured out to see they don't need to change to make each other happy. 

And over again, my ACTUAL favorite is Felix! The tree scene? I cackled so hard. This cat is so sneaky and sly and smart and I'm excited to see what shenanigans he comes up with for Summer!

I surprisingly flew through this story. I loved seeing Ivy, Logan, Rome and James find their way to courting and growing their pack. Ivy is such a people pleaser and can't say no to anyone. When she finally does say no, I cheered out loud because I was so proud of her for standing up for herself! 

Logan is definitely my favorite of the guys. He's so unsure but protective and attentive. Seeing him open up more with the pack was also a good moment throughout the book. Rome and James have a great relationship together and I love that they opened their hearts for more to get their official pack complete. I also adore how James wasn't blinded by alpha pheromones and could calmly make sure everything was okay for everyone during heated moments. 

I enjoyed this story and looking forward to the next!

I've been waiting to read this series until all 4 were released so I decided to dive in now. I thought this was a good book. There are some pretty heavy topics in this book so definitely read the trigger warnings first. Olive is going through a lot of grief and past trauma from prior alphas, so her self-esteem and social skills are nonexistent. Seeing her open up and become the omega she deserves to be was great to see. 

Out of the 3 alphas (Lars, Easton & Finn), I definitely liked Lars the best even though we don't get a lot of story with him. Easton is way too much golden retriever puppy dog and Finn is still going through his own grief for me to connect with. But all 4 of them make a great team once they finally start to communicate with one another. 

Actually, my FAVORITE character is Felix. He's so conniving but so sweet to be with Olive at the beginning. 

Intrigued to see how the rest of the series goes!

I was very intrigued by this sports Romantasy novel since I'm very much into both subjects and thought combining them would be amazing. But sadly this book fell short for me. I think it had a lot to do with the world building and how the reader is just thrusted into this world with all of these tetms that I was unfamiliar with. There wasn't enough description to help me visualize what I needed to really comprehend the scene. 

Plus the characters were blah for me. Especially Taissa. She had too much inner dialoge that went on tangents and I found i forgot what the initial thought was about. Kion was a grumpy, soul tortured guy which usually is right up my alley, but for some reason I just couldn't care that much about him. 

The one i loved the most in this book? Cronus. I cracked up so much when he was in scene imparting his wisdom lol. 

Glad I read this but sad i didn't love it more.

So glad I got to dive into Jack and Abby's story! These two are definitely opposites when we first meet them but once we get to know the real them, there are a lot of similarities of what they have or are going through. 

Jack is so protective of the people and things he loves. Makes him look like a giant teddy bear. And he didn't respond well to threats that break up his bubble. Abby is going through a lot of turmoil following her father's departure and is using her grad class subject as a way to cope. But once these two are in each other's orbits, heading and feelings start to happen. 

I loved seeing these two work through their fears and see them grow individually and independently. So glad I devoured their story!

Review: The Escape Game by Marissa Meyer & Tamara Moss

The Escape Game by Marissa Meyer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I thought this was a fun, unique story that i haven't really read before. I liked the escape room adventures even though I knew nothing about what they were talking about. I think their passion and knowledge really just stood out to me during each game and how the 4 characters found their connection and worked as a team. 

Sierra was probably my favorite character because she's so surly and serious, but also not either of those on the inside. Beck was so excitable and passionate about escape rooms, you can't help but love him. Carter is so young and has very little social skills that make her just awkward enough to like her but feel sorry for her. And Adi cracks me up. He is trying to be so distant from the group and keeps to himself but you get a cipher in front of him and you can't shut him up. 

These four really grew on me and I loved by the last room they were flawlessly working together.

The murder mystery of Alicia honestly kept me on my toes. I didn't see the killer coming until it was revealed to me. I had many guesses but none that were correct sadly. I will definitely keep my eyes peeled for the next installment because I'd love to see what else is in store for these 4!

Even though it's been awhile since I've been in this world, I'm glad it's a standalone so I didn't have to remember details from past couples. Though a lot of those characters show up in this book, it was more is appearances than actually plot purposes. 

I really liked Iris. She is so sweet and kind and one would think she wouldn't be involved in the Mafia world in any way. She doesn't let bad things bring her mood down and she's a fighter. 

Adriano is Iris's complete opposite in every way. I loved seeing his confusion on his fascination with her and how his personality changed over the course of time. 

This book is significantly longer than the other books in the series. We got to get to know both characters before they officially merged storylines. I also liked that it was through both points of views. I think it was a bit too much lead up but overall i enjoyed this story!

Lana Ferguson is an author i love so I'm glad I finally got around to reading this book that took me forever to get to!

I love a shifter book and I liked how different this story was compared to others. Tess is going through a lot of scary changes and I liked that she was worth Hunter who explained things calmly to her and helped her through things she never heard of. I also love that she's in charge of her sibling run construction company and how awesome she is!

Hunter is so grumpy and old school and such a different vibe from Tess that they make absolute sense to be together! I am sad that he's been carrying around so much guilt for this long and I'm glad Tess got him out of that hole he buried himself in so he can finally live his life to the fullest.

I can already guess who the 3rd book is about and I'm excited to see how that story will unfold!
