Review: Beyond the Thistles by Samantha Young

Beyond the Thistles Beyond the Thistles by Samantha Young
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Sloane and Walker and beyond amazing! They two characters are perfect for each other and seeing them finally acknowledging their attraction was fantastic.

I especially love Sloane. She is a woman who goes after what she wants when she sets her mind to it and boy did she go after Walker. I loved when she lost her cool more than a few times with him because he was being stubborn. And she stuck true to herself and made the hard decisions that was best for her and Callie, even if those decisions destroyed her in the process. She's an amazing woman who I would love to call a best friends, no lie.

Walker is so stoic and serious and stubborn. I'm glad Sloane chipped away enough at his wall to get him to open up because a softy Walker is an image I will never get out of my head. When he really opened himself up and showed his true self? Swoon. And to have a protector like him at my back? I'd be stuck to him like glue, ha!

I loved this book and loved seeing these characters finally get past that spiked up tension we have been seeing for since Brodans book. Loved everything about this story and can't wait to get my hands on the paperback!

Review: The Blood We Crave: Part Two by Monty Jay

The Blood We Crave: Part Two The Blood We Crave: Part Two by Monty Jay
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I. Absolutely. Love. This. Book!!!

Thatcher and Lyra are my all time favorites. No lie, I can't get enough of these two characters! I already want to reread these two books all over again.

These two characters are so different from one's I've read in the past, and I've read a ton of books. I love how they compliment each other so much and how twisted they both are, especially Lyra. She's so optimistic and open hearted that you would NEVER know what's she's capable of when pushed into a corner. I still don't love her fascination with bugs, but I can get over that little thing I suppose lol.

Seeing Thatcher grow so much in this novel was amazing. Even in book 1. Every since he allowed himself to open up to Lyra, he's become even more fascinating for me and I would love to have his attention like he gives to Lyra!

The overall story that had been brewing since book 1 was also great and seeing that come to fruition was fantastic.

I wasn't surprised on who the copycat was, and all of the extra that come with it (being vague so no spoilers!) but I loved all of the intensity that happened with the reveal. Like, so much intensity!

I absolutely, 100% in love with this book, this series, this author!! Definitely recommend this and will be obtaining physical copies of these books to stare at on my bookshelf lol!

Review: Vow of Revenge by P. Rayne

Vow of Revenge Vow of Revenge by P. Rayne
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Valentine PR. This is my honest review.

I. Loved. This. Book! Everything about it was amazing and I DEVOURED it so quickly, I couldn't get enough of it!

The premises of it being all the 20 yay old Mafia kids going to school together before going off into their own leadership? Fantastic. I know they said they leave and end up being rivals, but it could also go the other way and solidify really great partnerships. I hope that happens with these characters after ending that went down in this book!

Mira is amazing. I love her strong will, her determination, her fight for equality. She is going to do amazing things alongside Marcelo and I hope we are going to be able to see a few of those things.

Marcelo is also fantastic. I love that he's ready to dive into his role, but I also love how he's open to changes. Many men in the Mafia usually aren't, so to see that was a breath of fresh air.

I honestly loved this so much I may try to get a signed for for my library! I can't get over how obsessed this series had sucked me in and it will definitely be a book I revisit in the future!

I absolutely cannot wait for a certain character who's amazing at computers to get his story. Seriously, I'm OBSESSED with him!

Review: Wishing for Yesterday by A.M. Kusi

Wishing for Yesterday Wishing for Yesterday by A.M. Kusi
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

A.M. Kusi never fails to deliver on a wonderful storyline filled with romance, suspense, earth shattering moments between all of the characters they have created. I'm always in awe after reading a novel from Kusi because even when I don't think I can relate, there is always something that resonates with me by the time I finish the novel.

This is my first MM romance, so I wasn't sure going in whether it would be for me or not. But again, I am now left with so much warmness and happiness witnessing Ricky and Everett's story from start to finish, I shouldn't have worried!

I loved how much growth was in this book, for both characters. To see Ricky paralyzed with feelings so many times and to see Everett be there for him to ask questions, talk about his thoughts, whatever it may have been, it was just such a precious moment. And both Ricky and Everett's family? Gah, get out of here, they were fantastic and I hope we can see more mama bears coming out and amazing moments in the future!

As always there were moments I wanted to shake the characters and show them what everyone else sees, but then again, there wouldn't be any character development if they just instantly knew how to do things and didn't have any hurdles to jump to get to the end result, right?

I am so glad I was able to read this novel and see Ricky find his happily ever after, especially with someone so amazing like Everett. I'm so excited to add this to my collection and I CANNOT. WAIT. for the next book coming up in this series!!

Review: Playboy Playmaker by Maren Moore

Playboy Playmaker Playboy Playmaker by Maren Moore
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I adored this book. Yes, Hudson is a new favorite, but I actually really loved Caroline the most, to be honest! She is a spitfire and she is CONFIDENT. There aren't that many female leads characters who are proud of themselves or don't think negative thoughts about themselves. Caroline? She oozes confidence and she was freaking amazing. I need to be her friend asap. Plus her being an extrovert? Not my normal main female lead and it was so refreshing to see that different perspective.

And Hudson? I loved how honest he was. About. Everything. He had something on his mind? He said it. He wanted something? He got it. A man that knows what he wants and goes after it is so attractive.

These two characters exploded off the pages and seeing them connect with each other was electrifying. There may have been many differences between these two characters, but nothing can deny the sizzling attraction they have for one another.

This was an amazing ending to a great series and I'm so glad I've been here from the beginning meeting all of these characters! I will definitely have to revisit these characters in my future!

Review: The Darkness in You by Becca Steele

The Darkness in You The Darkness in You by Becca Steele
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Zayde! The brooding man with the ominous stare - it is so good to get his story and see him fall just like the other guys of the Four! I loved this so much because we see SUCH a different guy than in the previous novels. Fallon really brings out a different side in him and is fascinating to see!

Fallon - this poor girl has been through so much turmoil in her life. Her whole family is just messed up and I'm really surprised at how normal Fallon turned out to be, honestly. And the way she is around Zayde is amazing. Most people are intimidated by him but not Fallon.

I am so glad I got the chance to read this story and see the amazing ending to these characters stories! I'm really hoping Creed will be coming up because I can tell his story would be fantastic!

Review: Make You Mine by J.H. Croix

Make You Mine Make You Mine by J.H. Croix
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from Wildfire Marketing. This is my honest review.

Oh Rhys and Haven. These two are so meant to be with each other, but their insecurities are flying high! I loved the connection they had with each other and how they just clicked when they were around each other.

But their overthinking about things that worried them was extreme. And communication. Definitely need to work on that.

This book really showed how a relationship can have its ups and downs, but if both are truly committed to make it work, things will right itself out.

Very glad I got the chance to read this story and can't wait for the next couples story!

Review: Those Savage Stars by Cameo Renae

Those Savage Stars Those Savage Stars by Cameo Renae
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Wow, I absolutely LOVED this book!!!! I went in blind as to what this book was about (it had been awhile since I put it on my tbr list) and i was INSTANTLY sucked into the story with the first sentence. And it only got more amazing after that!

I adore Elara. She's tough as nails and 1,000% a fighter and survivor. Her life growing up was horrible and the way everyone in her life treated her? I would have given up if I were in her shoes. But not Elara. She took it day by day and actually found ways to not only suffer through things, but also found a way to train to protect herself.  Every woman should take a page out of her book.

And then when she was thrust into a whole new world? She took it in stride and yet again found another way to survive and adapt to her surroundings to make sure she protected herself.

Remington and Kage? Swoon. I'm 100% team Kage (I don't know if there are teams here, but I'm so with Kage nonetheless) and I loved their interactions with each other. Even when Kage was being a pain. They are so intense and some scenes? Whoo.

I can't wait to find out about Elara's past and how things will progress with her storyline. I'm very excited for whenever book 2 will be released! This is for sure being added to my physical library collection! Loved it!

Review: Over My Brother's Dead Body, Chase Andrews by Piper Rayne

Over My Brother's Dead Body, Chase Andrews Over My Brother's Dead Body, Chase Andrews by Piper Rayne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from Valentine PR.  This is my honest review.

I am so happy with this storyline!  Chase has intrigued me since he was first introduced so to see him not be the one word/syllable guy when he's around Twyla was fantastic!  Plus seeing him bond with Zeus was so stinking adorable!

I loved how much Twyla grew in this novel.  I always felt like she was shadowed by her relationship with Mathew so to see her flourish into her own self and figure out what she wants in life was inspiring to see.  It also shows how people can get stuck in a relationship that they don't necessarily want anymore, but won't see that until something major happens.

But Twyla and Chase?  Absolutely perfection!  I love how much Twyla gets Chase to open up without even trying and that's because HE wants to open up to her and bring her into his life.  That grumpy man turns a new corner, but only for Twyla.  Anyone else?  Nah, he's still our one word guy in public since he doesn't care what they think.

Also, Chase's hobby?  Freaking adorable and such a sweet memory to remember while doing that hobby.

Definitely loved this series and I'm so glad I got to read all of the Kingsmen Football stories!  Can't wait for the next wonderful novel by Piper Rayne!
