Review: Lux Wolf by G. Bailey

Lux Wolf: A Rejected Mate Shifter Romance Lux Wolf: A Rejected Mate Shifter Romance by G. Bailey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I think this might be my favorite series from G. Bailey! I loved it from book 1 until the end of this book. It's a rollercoaster of a ride and I enjoyed every twist and turn. Nyx took her powers in stride and had to figure out how to wield them completely on her own.

I love her connection with Atlas. He's so "she's mine I must protect" and I loved that so much. I also love how much all of these characters have grown from book 1 and how much they have been able to change, for the better.

I'm so glad I got the chance to read this series and I know this will be a reread for me in the future!

Review: Hanson by Kat Savage

Hanson Hanson by Kat Savage
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

I have adored every book in this series, and Hanson's story was just as amazing as the first 3! I love how we got to know more about him and to see him go full force on his pursuit with Thea. I also love how they instantly connected, but it was still a bit of time before anything happened between them.

Seeing the kids interaction was also so sweet and adorable. Had me grinning ear to ear!

I'm so glad we got Hanson's story and it was just fantastic! I'm also glad I stumbled upon this series to fall in love with these characters :)

Review: A Secret Princess by Margaret Stohl and Melissa de la Cruz

A Secret Princess A Secret Princess by Margaret Stohl
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from Edelweiss.  This is my honest review.

I grew up watching The Secret Garden and A Little Princess all of the time - to the point where the storylines got crossed in my own head because I loved them both so very much.  And that was a concern for me going into this book, because my expectations were HIGH and perhaps unrealistic.

Don't get me wrong, this book is great!  I just wanted more of...something... something I can't quite put my finger on.  I loved seeing the three main characters together: Sara, Mary and Cedric.  And I loved how the authors not only weaved the original stories together, but that they added culture and history and something to connect readers of all ethnicities together.  But there were moments I felt like the story jumped from one place to another with no real guidelines on why the sudden change.  And there were just enough differences to throw me for a loop out of the original two stories, but once I got used to that, I actually enjoyed them for what they are.

The best part that 100% threw me?  The very end, when they meet again, and Mary's special guest person - she definitely surprised me and I love how that got tied together so smoothly!

Overall, I definitely enjoyed this mash-up, but now I'm feeling a huge urge to go to the originals again and get immersed back into my childhood.  I'm very glad I got the chance to read this novel!

Review: Marrying Hope by Vikki Jay

Marrying Hope Marrying Hope by Vikki Jay
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Give Me Books PR.  This is my honest review.

I seriously cannot express how happy I am that I discovered this author and have read all of her books.  I get sucked into these stories and I'm always so sad when they finish.  I've been having a hard time reading a book as quickly as I used to lately, but I started and finished Marrying Hope in 1 day - 1 sitting, and was so sad when the last page came to.

Hope and Zach are priceless.  They are both broken in their own way and to see them flourish with each other they way they did was amazing.  I also love that this wasn't a "love at first sight" story.  Zach fell in love with her child first and that to me is so rare when it comes to romance novels.  But then to see Zach and Hope slowly realize their attraction for each other was so rewarding.  And the amount of character development they go through this entire novel is eye opening and just shows that once you have the right person in your life, the things that use to drive you or command you aren't so in charge anymore.

Ray is precious and I love him so much.  Such innocence and love that radiates from him is hard to come by.

I loved seeing all of the other Teagers again.  I do still have a special place in my heart for Rose, but Hope really  made an impression with me and I know I will be thinking about this story for weeks to come!  Such a phenomenal story and I cannot wait to see the next installment from this author!

Review: Offside with #55 by Piper Rayne

Offside with #55 Offside with #55 by Piper Rayne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Valentine PR. This is my honest review.

Kane and Jana. We've seen these two interact for so many novels so I was thrilled to finally get their story! I do have to say, I've not read many books where the characters are already involved but not serious with each other, so I kinda missed that first moment, first connection with each other that many books have. It didn't take away from the story but that definitely stood out to me.

I think it's really interesting how one particular subject matter drastically changed with these characters. It stood out to me because I also have strong feelings about this subject, and it surprised me how quickly their opinions changed after one evert. I'm glad they were able to make that change together, but it seemed a little abrupt for me.

The attraction between Kane and Jana was very intense! I love seeing them together and when they actually talked to each other, they had a great connection going.

I'm glad we finally got this story and got to know these characters and i can't wait for the next novel by Piper Rayne!

Review: On the Edge by Julia Connors

On the Edge On the Edge by Julia Connors
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions.  This is my honest review.

This is my first book by Julia Connors and I really enjoyed it!  The characters were easily relatable to - well their feelings that is.  Being a professional sports player is not relatable to me, but being stressed by a job I understand about.

I just want to put these two in a room and make them talk.  Jackson (such an awesome girl name!) and Nate are so out of synch when it comes to communicating, I just want to scream.  All of those years wasted, feeling a rollercoaster of emotions, for nothing.  I'm glad things finally got on a better level, but talking is key, no matter what.

I also think all of their secrets were just too much.  They really should have learned from the past and not have remade the same mistakes, but I guess it takes time to change habits.

I loved the sports part of this book, since I used to do sports and can understand some of the struggles that happened.  I wouldn't appreciate being around snow 24/7 but not my sport haha.

I'm very glad I decided to try this novel and see how this story progressed.  These characters definitely had a lot of character development happen, but it was great seeing them get to their best selves.

Review: Vampire Captive by G. Bailey

Vampire Captive Vampire Captive by G. Bailey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I don't know why I was surprised that this was focused on a before when the first book was so focused on wolves. I know the author writes about both supernaturally often, but maybe because vampires weren't mentioned in the first book.

Either way, I still enjoyed this story and I'm glad I got to read it. I love seeing Elodies sons and what kind of men they grew up to be. Arilee is a great, strong female and I loved seeing her fight for what she deserved.

Very glad I got the chance to read this!

Review: No Alpha by G. Bailey

No Alpha No Alpha by G. Bailey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author.  This is my honest review.

Once again, G. Bailey knocks it out of the park with her storytelling.  I really loved Elodie and how strong she is to survive her childhood that she had.  I also think she is very brave when everything changes when she goes with the 3 Alpha brothers.

The major change within in was very drastic and abrupt, but maybe she always had that in her and she just needed the push she got to really be herself.  The thing with River was a bit out of nowhere - I would much rather have just had her with the brothers, but again, Elodie was firm in her decisions by this point in the story.

I'm very glad I got the chance to read this novel and I am looking forward to more by this author.

Review: Darkly Ever After by Silla Webb (Jagger Cole)

Darkly Ever After Darkly Ever After by Silla Webb
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author.  This is my honest review.

I gotta be honest, I only read Jagger Cole's novel in this amazing line-up anthology.  He's the only author I know and have read and I just couldn't wait through 50% of the book to read his next installment.  So this review is really just for that story, and eventually when I have more time, I will go through and read the other amazing stories in this crammed packed anthology!

I loved Adrian and Celeste.  They had a lot going against them, and they didn't think to ask more questions, which caused many years of estrangement and anger, but once everything was revealed, the chemistry that exploded between these two was crazy intense - standard Jagger Cole style!

I'm so glad I got the chance to read this story and I know it leads up to the next series he is writing, so I'm excited for that to come in the future!

Review: Flame and Crystal Thorns by Kay L. Moody

Flame and Crystal Thorns Flame and Crystal Thorns by Kay L. Moody
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC from the author and BookSirens.  This is my honest review.

Kay L. Moody has been an author that I must read her books.  I am so excited that we get Chloe's story after the amazing adventure Elora went through, and Moody did not disappoint in the slightest throughout this story.  Chloe is such a gentle soul, but she's been well trained what to do and not do around the fae.  But she is still human and still makes human mistakes.  I love how she cares so much about the townspeople and how stubborn she is.

The adventures when she goes to the fae world was amazing.  So much happened, action everywhere, and I love the surprises that pop up.  That ending was a bit brutal, I want more but once I saw I was 97% through and not enough answers, I knew I was going to have be patient for more in the next book.

I'm so excited that I stumbled onto Kay L. Moody's novels and I'm looking forward to more by this amazing author!

A Greene Family Vacation A Greene Family Vacation by Piper Rayne
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Valentine PR. This is my honest review.

I adore this family and this series. I have fallen in love with every single character so far and seeing what they are up to now in their lives is just amazing. And seeing all of the single Greene's and the start of their own love stories in this story novels was fantastic.  I can't wait for each one of them because I know the authors will do a fantastic job making me fall in love with them too!

I'm so glad I got the chance to revisit this storyline and I cannot wait for more to come!

Review: A Rival's Kiss by Maya Hughes

A Rival's Kiss A Rival's Kiss by Maya Hughes
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

Oh, Ezra. My heart went through so many emotions and all I wanted to do was hug that man and do everything I can to show him love. He's been through so much in his short life and he's so guarded because of it. Always expecting the worst and never believing the good things in his life.

I'm so glad Willa entered his life. She surprised him so many times and started to bring hope into his world, showing him good things can happen for him.

Willa's sorry is also a bit heartbreaking, always following the shadow of a person she's never met. I can't imagine walking on glass like that for all of her life, too afraid to be her true self.

These 2 meeting was Fate, and they both are so good for each other. Yes, they were mistakes made, but that's life and it made the story so real.

I really adored this story and I'm so glad I got the chance to read it! Looking forward to more by Maya Hughes!

Review: Empire of Lust by Rina Kent

Empire of Lust Empire of Lust by Rina Kent
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

I am so glad I was able to read this book! Since we discovered the very close connection, I've been intrigued to find out how things were between Kingston and Aspen. And the steam, the intensity between these two was to another level! They each have their own way of coping things and can be a little extreme, but they are perfect for each other.

I love how ruthless these two can be, in the court and off the court. And to see them go head to head was fantastic - I loved every minute of them fighting for the win.

I'm so glad I got the chance to read this book and can't wait for more by this author!
