The Knight and the Moth by

Sigh, the hype of this book got to me and I bought copies before reading. It was okay for me. Not a copy I need to own, but an okay story.
Sybil's life has been a crap show honestly. Being raised by literally getting drowned over and over again? That's awful. Being the favorite and doing it even more so than One through Five? Even worse. She's docile at the beginning, then starts to take risks and has to fight or flight. This poor girl has been looking forward to her future after her service, only to find out that's a lie.
So in a sense, I'm glad Sybil discovered the truth and was able to get a semblance of freedom.
Rory is a unique knight in the sense he doesn't actually want to be one, but is and is loyal to the boy-king. But he has his own mission in life to destroy all the Omens. Seeing him fall for Six is cute and hilarious at the same time.
The boy-king? I called that ending!!! Seriously, what did everyone expect??? I was annoyed no one else saw that coming when I knew it very early on. However, I didn't expect him to essentially enslave Sybil again. So now Benji is on my "cannot redeem himself" list.
I'm not sure if I will read the next book in the series, to be honest, but we'll see how much I remember about it once that time comes and make a decision then.
