Review: Souls and Sorrows by Sav R Miller

Souls and Sorrows Souls and Sorrows by Sav R. Miller
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ariana's childhood story is so sad! I can't believe she went through all that and is relatively sane. I feel like she should definitely seek therapy though a I'm sure she will still have a lot of things to work through. But her reaction to when she think she's not needed or wanted? Honestly breaks my heart how much she dives into that panic and depression and spiraling.

Cash is honestly unexpected. In past books he's so stiff and by the book, but oh no! He's got a possessive streak and lots of darkness. I was happily surprised by this turn of events and watching him go through so of these new emotions and feelings with Ariana was amazing. I love that she is the only one who brings these out of him!

Glad I read it and a bit sad I only have 1 more book left in this series!

Review: Arrows and Apologies by Sav R Miller

Arrows and Apologies Arrows and Apologies by Sav R. Miller
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Alistair and Cora couldn't be any different from each other, yet the dynamics between these two were amazing!

Between Jonas and Alistair, I definitely liked Jonas more. Alistair is all politics (which I hate) but also he doesn't want to be politics. But he doesn't really have a passion for anything and just has a bleak outlook towards like? That's the impression I got anyway.

Cora is a fighter. She's determined to find her brother and she's taking care of Laurel more than she does herself. I would do the same thing in her shoes. Dogs over humans. She's put herself in dangers way trying to find Lucian, and still trying to keep so many secrets. It must be exhausting being her honestly.

I loved seeing Alistair fall for Cora even when he didn't want to. Building the pool? Swoon. Seeing the previous characters in the series pop in was great too.

Intrigued to see how the next book goes!

Review: Oaths and Omissions by Sav R Miller

Oaths and Omissions Oaths and Omissions by Sav R. Miller
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I love how intense the adventure started and ended for Jonas and Lenny! These two met with blood and death (both times) and ended with it as well. They are perfectly made for each other. I love how intrigued Jonas was when Lenny wasn't afraid of him. That got his attention right away and probably when his obsession started.

Lenny has been through some crap but she took that trauma and grew from it. The amount of disconnect she has at times makes her the perfect fit for Jonas.

I'm so glad justice was served over and over and OVER again during this book! I was rooting for so many demised characters I'm a bit concerned for my sanity, but it's fine...

Loved this story and now going to jump into to the next one!

Review: Vipers and Virtuosos by Sav R Miller

Vipers and Virtuosos Vipers and Virtuosos by Sav R. Miller
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Both Aiden and Riley had really awful childhoods. Both had their fair share of traumatic moments that made them both the adults they are in this book.

Riley is extremely strong and so powerful even though she tries to stay out of sight. She's still living after what she went through. Still waking up everyday and going through the motions. So many people would have given up if they were in her shoes, but she doesn't and I love that so much.

Aiden is essentially being forced to do what he loves, making it the most miserable thing he can do. He loves music but wants control of his own life instead of being trapped for 3 years.

His initial reaction to seeing Riley? I loved that so much. His obsession with Riley? Completely intense and focused. Not that I would want that in real life, but for a man to be that obsessed with a woman... something to be said for that.

Glad I continued the series and loved how different it was from book 1. Excited to continue the rest of the novels!

Review: Promises and Pomegranates by Sav R Miller

Promises and Pomegranates Promises and Pomegranates by Sav R. Miller
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Kallum and Elana's story was full of twists and turns and revenge and realizations. I honestly mainly read this to get to know these two in preparation for their sons novel in the new spin off series. Which will really help to be honest cause these two are wild!

But also? Elena's parents are awful, despicable people. And I want the stories for both characters siblings!

Glas I read this! Will probably try to read the whole series as long as i can focus on them.

Review: Sweet Sin by Sav R Miller

Sweet Sin Sweet Sin by Sav R. Miller
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I'm glad this was mentioned at the beginning of Promises and Pomegranates because I immediately got it to get introduced to Elena and Kallum properly. The intensity between them is insane and once they let all hesitations aside, the connection between them was off the charts. I'm excited to read their story after this intro!

Review: Viciously Yours by Jamie Applegate Hunter

Viciously Yours Viciously Yours by Jamie Applegate Hunter
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rennick and Amelia's love story is quick and fun to read! I honestly started and finished it in basically one sitting. I loved all the aspects of this book and it definitely focuses solely on these two characters and secondary (very little) on the setting and plot of the story.

The letters Rennick wrote to Amelia for 12 years? They seriously had me laughing out loud multiple times. You can feel the awkwardness every moment with 100+ letters. And Amelia's responses to them? Equally had me laughing out loud. Ora is a jerk and Amelia knew that right away based on the awful gifts she got.

But I gotta say, I ADORED Rennick for doing the letters and gifts. What man nowadays does that sweet moment for a woman he hasn't met yet, but knows he wants to be with her? Not many in my experience.

If you are looking for a book full of fantasy and world building and epic things...this isn't it, BUT if you are looking for a book where they characters are devoted to each other without even have met, then once they do meet, it gets even more intense? This book is definitely for you!

I initially read this because a book box is doing a SE of it... depending on how it looks, I may need to purchase just to have a pretty version on my shelf and have a book solely dedicated to two characters obsessed with each other!

Review: Ruining Hattie by P Rayne

Ruining Hattie Ruining Hattie by P. Rayne
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.

I always devour a P Rayne novel and Hattie & Bastion's was no exception! I love how completely opposite these two are from each other. I always day that, but in this case they barely have one thing in common.

Hattie is so sheltered and pure and sweet. Im not sure how she's gone this long without getting tempted to do something bad, but here she is. I'm actually glad Bastion came into her life, evil revenge and all, to show her that not all things are considered evil like she believes.

Bastion had a really awful childhood. Seriously, I can't imagine having to make that choice at 11 years old and how terrified he had to have been. I'm glad he's found his niche as an adult but he definitely has held on to that anger for decades, not that I blame him.

I loved the moments with Bastions sister that brought back old characters from prior series. And even the Mafia Academy series too! So fun!

Glad we got another P Rayne novel and can't wait for the next masterpiece!

Review: Rebel by Rebecca Yarros

Rebel Rebel by Rebecca Yarros
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Oh Penelope and Cruz. Not gonna lie, i think this was my favorite of the bunch!

Penna is full of so many emotions, but she's always been one tough chick this whole series and that didn't change in her story. Sure she was off balance and had a lot of inner turmoil to deal with, but what she's been through? She deserves to find out what she wants in life without all the questions surrounding her. I'm glad she has that discussion with Brooke. She needed to come to that realization and understand that even if Brooke is her best friend, if Brooke can't accept her life than she may not be allowed in Penna's life.

Cruz is awesome. Taking crazy risks with a woman he just met but already saw her soul and that she needed this? Amazing. Seeing how much he would go to save his sister? I have no word for how much I love this man. He is exactly who Penelope needed to be her other half and every chapter showed just how fantastic he is as a person.

So glad i got the chance to read this series finally! A bit sad I'm caught up with all of Rebecca Yarros's books but I loved them all so much!

Review: Nova by Rebecca Yarros

Nova Nova by Rebecca Yarros
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Landon and Rachel's story is about secrets and second chances, which I have a history of not liking too much honestly. The back story between these two is just crazy, but once we find out the whole story that includes her fathers involvement? So many things wrong with the men in her life making decisions for her without her input.

I honestly would have banned both of them out of my lives. I can't stand people making decisions for me because they think it's the best choice. Treating me like a child is a giant pet peeve of mine.

And then the secrets Rachel discovers about her birth mother?! It was just one punch after another for poor Rachel.

I loved that Rachel was right there with Landon for the extreme stunts and held up her own against him and others. Also Landon? He may have made poor decisions in his past but this newer version proving to show his love for Rachel was the best. I seriously don't think I've seen a man work so hard to prove he's in it for the long haul.

I'm sill loving the school on a ship aspect! Such a neat idea! Excited to read Penna's story now!

Review: Wilder by Rebecca Yarros

Wilder Wilder by Rebecca Yarros
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Paxton and Leah are polar opposites from each other, and that made their story extremely consumable. I loved how much of a daredevil Paxton is and such an adrenaline junkie. Leah is extremely timid after her accident (which I would be too) but you can tell she wants to get over the fear and flashbacks she has and is going out of her comfort zone.

Pax is a perfect person to gently help her do that. He pushes her, but not so far that she completely hides away from the world. Instead, he talks her into it because deep down she really wants to do it.

I love the idea of literally having classes and rooming on a cruise ship for an entire school year. Would I do? Nope, I can't swim and I'd honestly have a panic attack I'm sure, but the idea of it is fascinating to me. Some of the tricks Pax and the Renegades did on the ship? Not so believable, but it shows how filthy rich Pax is, haha.

The person responsible for all the sabotage of the tricks? Definitely didn't see that coming, so Rebecca definitely surprised me there. And I love the leadup for book 2 and that we already have a good deal of their backstory.

As always, I have once again consumed another Rebecca Yarros book and have been left wanting more. Very glad I have the next two books in the series and I'm glad I finally got this book to read!
