Review: Hell Hath No Fury: A Romance Anthology for Reproductive Rights

Hell Hath No Fury: A Romance Anthology for Reproductive Rights Hell Hath No Fury: A Romance Anthology for Reproductive Rights by Jessica Gadziala
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

It took me awhile, but I read all of them!  Anyway, I mainly wanted this because I adore Hannah McBride and Samantha Young, but I also found some amazing stories from other authors I haven't discovered yet.  Besides Hannah and Samantha, the other story that stuck with me was Amie Knight's piece (I need more of this story - PLEASE!!)! And India R. Adams and Nikki Belaire! Below are the stories I read and my thoughts on them

The End Game by Anna B. Doe (4 stars)
Even though I haven't read the original story, this was very easy to follow and I loved the connection between Hayden and Callie. And the pure determination Hayden had all throughout this story.

Wicked by Anne Malcolm (4 stars)
Ohhh, that cliffhanger ending has intrigued me! It's been awhile since I've read a book about witches and magic, but this author ensnared me with this story and reminded me that I like them haha. I not only want to know more about what happens with Bellona and Max, but also what happens with the coven too.

Unreasonable by Anne Mercier (4 stars)
Seeing Audra and Derrick go head to head in this story was cute and funny. They both dive head first into this intense attraction they have but are so out of loop when it comes to dating that they are floundering. I don't think this story would have been so amazing if it wasn't for Mark and Alex. Those two crack me up so much and I would love to see those two get hit with the live big after making fun of Derrick.

Hunting You by Alexandria Bishop (5 stars)
Oh, I liked this one!  I love Hunter and Fox and even though they wasted years apart because they wouldn't just talk to each to figure out what really happened all of those years ago, I loved seeing them get together and finally hash it out.  I also think if Hunter was really wanting to fix things, he could have easily found her since her family rats her out during the course of this story.

Caim by Anna Edwards (5 stars)
Oh, this story!  I was stunned when the events unfolded and I really felt that Layla was fully justified to do what she did.  Also?  I need more to show me what happens with Caim and Layla!!  That ending was so open ended and I think a whole novel of their adventures is a must!  Really loved this story!

Doctor Right Now by Amie Knight (5 stars)
Gahhh!!!!!  I need more!!  This was not enough.  This was spicy and intense and had me holding my breath waiting for more, only to be DENIED and I must have more of Anna Bell and Emory!!!  Also, I love Jax and his scheming ways.  Anna Bell's brother has been trying to play matchmaker for months and Jax gets it done in 2 days - absolutely LOVE this story!

Inheritance by Amelia Wilde (3 stars)
This is definitely part of a bigger story that I don't know about which left me kinda eh overall.  Charlotte and Mason definitely have a connection and chemistry, and seeing them struggle being almost parents is definitely relatable to most readers who are parents, I would imagine.  So this was a good story showing that.

The Muse by Bella Matthews (3 stars)
I liked this story.  Seeing two characters hiding their true identity to get a break from the pressures of their life and just living free for a night.  Aurora and Jack I feel are not done with each other and I see that there is a duet about their story.  Maybe one day I'll pick it up!

Ashes Falling by BT Urruela (3 stars)
This was a different story.  Suspenseful, heart pounding end of the world story about Ashe trying to figure out how to be an adult while also just wanting out of the system.  Very interesting and kept me intrigued through the storyline.

Laying Low by Cassandra Robbins (4 stars)
I liked Blade and Eve's short story.  I definitely makes me want to read their full story because the attraction between these two are flying off the pages.  I have no idea what the issue was or why it changed their original plans, which also makes me want to read their full length story to figure everything out.  Definitely enjoyed this piece!

Take Me Now by Carly Phillips (3 stars)
Matt and Harper's story was definitely a feel good piece.  I think it's ridiculous that Harper's brother got in the way, but to see Matt finally decide to take the plunge was great.  I do think there should have been a bit more talking and discovering what they both want for their future since neither have really talked to each other for a few years, but since they live in the same town I'm sure they know each other pretty well still, even with the distance.

The Faceoff by Cali Melle (3 stars)
I saw this was Ice Skating and Hockey player, and the movie The Cutting Edge instantly came to mind and I couldn't stop thinking about it haha.  Eden and Hayden have an obvious attraction to each other; I can only imagine how many sparks will fly in their continuation before they finally give into their true feelings.

Walking On Sunshine by Claire Hastings (3 stars)
Carlos and Ashby's story started off quick and really shows how, when you know, you just know who you are supposed to be with.  Plus I love that a dog connected them together, so that makes it even sweeter for me!  I also thought the whole situation with Carlos and Leona was interesting.  May have to see if that story is out there!

Burn by Clarissa Wild (3.5 stars)
Emilia's mother is a terrible human being!!! Terrible!!  And her trust in Vincenzo?  Yeah, I don't care how desperate I am, I don't think I could have done what she did and went with a virtual stranger.  She got lucky in a guy who actually wants to help, but in the real world?  Don't think that would happen, honestly.  The spice was intense in this book and the ending?  I think this book really took me for a ride from beginning to end haha.

Bella by Crystal Daniels and Sandy Alvarez (3 stars)
Logan and Bella are fantastic characters, but Bella??  I absolutely love her.  She will do everything in her nature to protect the ones she loves without a second thought and I absolutely love that.  I've not read the other books in this series, so I came in blind, but Bella has ensnared me in her trap!

Love's a Beach by Danielle Pearl (3 stars)
I am so proud of Liza.  She was in a terrible situation with Jonah, made a decision to get that terribleness out of her life, and she stuck with it.  So many people go back to that out of habit, loneliness, whatever.  And she also didn't take crap from Noah either.  He had 100 times better intentions, but did it all in the wrong way and she also gave him her two cents on what she thought of it.  I was rooting her on during this whole story!

Live-in Bodyguard by Darcy Rose (2 stars)
This was a bit of a stretch for me.  Inviting a complete stranger to be your bodyguard?  Not even knowing his name?  Dakota and Bane were explosive the second they got to her place, but in real life situations, I just can't compute very well with this story.  I liked the connection they had, but having that connection so quickly and making those quick decisions just doesn't work with my brain.

A Christmas Disgrace by Dee Palmer (2.5 stars)
This was my first introduction to Dee Palmer and I haven't read Sam and Jason's story before. So I was a bit confused with some of the characters relationships, but overall I figured everything out. I liked how confident Sam was and how she empowered other woman after her performance.

Poison Pen by Dove Cavanaugh King (4.5 stars)
I really liked this book. I love how Ricki can take care of herself and how tough she is! And the tension between her and Asher is flying off the pages... I may need to get my hands on their story to see how everything pans out between the two of them!

Without Pause or Guilt by Eden Summers (4.5 stars)
This was full of angst, secrets, threats, love, revenge - I loved every second of it!
Anissa and Cole have an interesting relationship that needs a bit of work but you can't deny their intense love for one another. I really enjoyed this one!

Headmaster Taurin by Ella Fields (3 stars)
I love seeing Rose and Cooper explore their love for each other, but with a twist. That would be a scary conservation to have if you didn't know how the other person felt, so I'm glad they had help. Though how that person knew what their tastes were, I have no idea.

Hurt Me by Evie Mitchell (3 stars)
Ahh a cliffhanger leaving me with more. There is so much I want to know about Jules and Pope after this intoxicated to them. Also? This is the first story I've read regarding the pandemic and it gave me cold, to be honest. I may have to grab this full length story when it gets released!

Swan Song by Giana Darling (2 stars)
This was okay.  I was a bit lost in the code world, and there wasn't a lot of interaction between Red and Swan, but it was filled with adventure for the characters.

Heat by Hannah McBride (5 stars)
I am obsessed with all things Hannah McBride and I loved revisiting Remy and Skye's world again!  These two have been through a lot and they are definitely wiser than their young age portrays. The very serious discussion they had should be discussed the same way in real life, and afterward, when Skye strongly explained their choice? Absolute perfection. Love, love, love!

Hostile Fates by India R. Adams (5 stars)
I loved this one! Ellie and Duke have crazy tension and I instantly went to download the next story from the authors website - hopefully it's a continuation of their story because I am hooked!

Atonement by Ivy Fox (4 stars)
Colleen is about to have her whole life changed now that Owen had his sights on her! I'm hoping they get their own book so I can dive into it and see this chase pan out!

Duke by Jack Davenport (3.5 stars)
It was a change of pace that the second Duke saw Pearl he fell heads over heels for her and pursued her to no end. He didn't torture her, make her second guess everything. Now, he made sure he kept that woman in his life, no matter what. It was cute.

Harm by Piper Davenport (4.5 stars)
I loved this reverse age gap novel! Brynley and Harm are perfect for each other and I loved seeing Harm break down every wall Bryn's ex built after the years they were together. And Bryn's kids are fantastic too!

Look But Don't Touch by Jenika Snow (4 stars)
Oh a best friends dad romance! I believe this is the first one I've read of this trope, but if they are all like this, I may have to jump on this band wagon lol. Landen is definitely an alpha and Bea didn't say practically anything, but I'm sure things will get more normal with them the longer they are together.

Clyde + Bear by Jessica Gadziala (3 stars)
This was intense. I love Clyde, she was a woman on a mission and took no chances. This was brutal but so satisfying at the same time. And I love how Bear adores her.

The Choices We Make by Kat T. Masen (3 stars)
I'm very curious what the end decision Alexa is going to make after her revelation. I can't imagine what she is feeling, but I do hope she gets to make her own choice and not let others sway her decision.

Dorian & Clementine by KL Donn (3 stars)
I love how devoted Clem is to Lavender. She is the friend every woman needs in those type of situations and she does it with love and care. She doesn't pressure, but is just there for support. Her and Dorian are going to have an adventure, I can already tell!

No Way by Stevie J Cole & LP Lovell (3 stars)
Wolf's determination to win over Nora is swoon-worthy.  His reckless choices with his friends would be a hard limit for me, but it seems like Nora's okay with it. I loved the hard to get games Nora played, but she definitely rushed a lot playing out for a long as she did.

Redeemed by Max Henry (3 stars)
Beth and Crackers need to figure out what they want. They go back and forth a lot and nothing is really getting resolved. I'm sure in their own novel they figure it all out, but this sort piece was full of unknowns.

Darkest Desires by Nicole Blanchard (3 stars)
I love how Stella was able to learn more about her tastes without any judgment. I can't imagine being conflicted between two different men and lifestyle though. She definitely clicked with Mikhail, which I'm sure her mom will gloat about.

Fireball by Nikki Belaire (5 stars)
This was fantastic! I love how strong willed Addie is. She's a fighter and even when life has nothing, she's still determined to figure out a way to survive. And her love for Pete makes my heart melt. Titan is fantastic too, though he needs to communicate better with Addie so they can get past the way they met. Definitely one of my favorites!

Power Play by Sade Rena (3 stars)
This was a good office romance. Rylan is very determined to make sure she won't get demoted at work and Kareem is all about getting Rylan's heat in love with his own.

Arrow & Salem by Saffron A. Kent (4 stars)
I liked visiting Arrow and Salem again. They've been through their fair share of issues, and this short story was also filled with what-ifs, but I enjoyed reading about them and their amazing connection with each other.

Ember of the Heart by Samantha Young (5 stars)
I adore Ember in this story. She knows who she is and how she wants to live her life and she isn't going to let a single person change her lifestyle, no matter how hard it is to cut them from her life. Seeing her with Georgie is precious and how she treats her.

Her Choice by Sarah Bale (3 stars)
I love the open communication Zach and Machelle have together. I also like how Machelle starts to live her life with her decisions. I get the feeling this is part of another bigger series but I haven't read any of them. I didn't feel completely lost, but there are moments I felt would have been clearer if I had read the other books.

A Dark & Dirty Sinners' MC series by Serena Akeroyd (DNF)
I'm not good at reading text message passages without the narrative in between dialog, so I had to DNF this. Plus it was a bit hard for me to keep up with the conversations since I haven't read anything by this author and definitely not this series, which I feel is highly recommended for this story.

Driven by Sierra Glass (3 stars)
This was okay for me. Didn't really connect with the overall background cause I haven't read the other books to really grasp what was going on. But I love Owen's thoughts when thinking of Elizabeth.

Into The Flames by Skye Warren (4 stars)
Ahh, I want more of Kennedy and Jax. Such a short story full of angst and passion. I love how Kennedy sought him out and I really want to see what happens from there. So many possibilities!

Savage by Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti
I didn't read this as I haven't read the Zodiac Academy series and I don't want to get hooked right now lol

Fall in Love With Me by Willow Winters (4 stars)
Well that ending was rude lol. But I did enjoy seeing Bennet and Audry reconnect and finally follow their true feelings after all of the years apart. I don't think I'll be reading the rest of their story, but it was nice to see how they reconnected.
