Review: Shadow and Crystal Thorns by Kay L. Moody

Shadow and Crystal Thorns Shadow and Crystal Thorns by Kay L. Moody
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from the author and BookSirens.  This is my honest review.

I love jumping back into this world.  And I love how Chloe is slowly but surely becoming more sure of herself and how strong she's been.  I love seeing her and Quintus battle through issues they both have, and seeing Chloe really stick her to decisions.  Seeing her grow and really feel confident in herself is also amazing.  I can't imagine half of the things she is feeling throughout this journey, but to be a mortal with limited magic and have the weight of saving two worlds is a lot for one person to deal with.

Quintus is conflicting for me.  Some times he's so sweet and adoring to Chloe and then other times, he's all fae and immortal and kinda forgets about her.  I'm not sure I could handle that hot and cold all of the time, to be honest.

I love Shadow.  Seriously that whole storyline is amazing and I hope we get more in future novels!

Ludo and Mishti are hilarious.  Their back and forth attitudes really put a smile to my face.

I love how limited Elora was in this book.  Like, she was there, but wasn't part of the main story, which is amazing cause this is Chloe's story and I am glad she's finally realizing that Chloe can handle her own now.

I'm so glad I got the chance to read this book and I'm looking forward to more by this author!
