Direbound by Sable SorensenMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
When I heard the tagline Fourth Wing meets Hunger Games, I knew i had to read this book. And I'm glad I did because of course I love it.
Let me tell you the turmoil and trauma I went through yelling at Meryn throughout this book. She is so determined and fierce but she can't see the signs when they are right in front of her face. I saw them miles and miles away and was screaming at her to stop but of course she didn't. So she went through some bad situations, all her owning making.
I love the trails. I love how bloody it gets. I love how dark Meryn gets and now Anassa revels in her darkness. I didn't love her wolf keeping quiet. I get why she had to but it was frustrating on all ends even the reader. I didn't love certain characters (which I wasn't supposed to) while loving others so much.
I'm going to hate waiting until May 26 to read the sequel but you can bet I'll devour it!
