What Fury Brings by Tricia LevensellerMy rating: 3 of 5 stars
I'm a big fan of Tricia Levenseller, so giving this a 3 star is hard for me. I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either. I was honestly just not vibing with this storyline. Slavery is always a touchy subject, no matter what gender is the slave.
I love the idea of women being stronger and the dominant gender who does out the roles and punishments. But honestly this book just seemed a bit boring to me. And awkward.
Olerra is a kind hearted, war general, almost but not quite princess. She's got a lot going on but essentially she wants to take care of her people. She's not afraid to go to battle even though she doesn't have the strength so women have.
Santos fights so hard to not adapt to the customs of Ammara. Tooth and nail fights it. But he also accepts their rules are better than his country. A lot of hypocritical moments that happen for Santos.
So... yeah. It was okay. Not great. Not enough spice that most adult Romantasies have. I'm glad I read it so i don't need all the special editions being released.
