A book ad got me intrigued for this book so I decided to give it a go. It was pretty good. Marlowe definitely is commited to getting her child healthy again that she will do whatever it takes. 

Brendan is basically a man child who always gets what he wants. He does redeem himself at the end of the book, though, I'll give him that. This was a good break between fantasy novels and I'm glad I decided to read it.
