Review: Delay of Game by Maggie Rawdon

Delay of Game Delay of Game by Maggie Rawdon
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC novel from Wildfire Marketing Solutions. This is my honest review.

This was a very fast and easy read - I'm shocked at how quickly I flew through it! Friends to lovers is a trope I find hard to get into because they are always fighting the attraction to each other, and when they do give in they always want to keep it a secret and make things awkward. Those things DID happen in this book, but the author wrote it in a way that wasn't as drawn out like I've read in the past.

Both Liv and Liam have been fighting their attraction toward one another for awhile now, and I'm actually surprised that it was Liv who took the first step. But once Liam got in board, of boy did things get intense between those two.

I loved seeing all of their friends get in the middle of their drama because that's just who they are and we love them for that. I'm really hoping for a specific couple pair in the next book cause I think it will be amazing!

It was nice to see the background story of Liv and Liam and for then to talk about it and move past it. Getting another piece to the puzzle really helped explain why they were so close.

I'm so glad I got the chance to read this book and can't wait to see what else is in store by this author!
