The Favorite by Kiera Cass
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Marlee really was the favorite, not just in the palace and to the world, but also to America. So reading her story was very sweet and emotional. Reading about what happened to her in public was gut wrenching. I mean, the dedicated readers have read it through two other viewpoints, but having read Marlee's own viewpoint is very heart wrenching.
But her love for Carter is never ending and I love that so much. Being able to see Maxon and America through her eyes was also very touching, and it definitely showed the reader that there was a connection between the two way before either realized, since Marlee was able to see it from afar.
Even though this bounced around from events, it was still sweet and easy to follow if the reader has read all of the novels like a dedicated fan :)
