A Dark Forgetting by Kristen CiccarelliMy rating: 3 of 5 stars

Kristen Ciccarelli is an author i have either a hit or a miss with as I have lived some novels she wrote and others i want able to finish. This book falls in the middle. I enjoyed the story and the overall mystery, but did get bored a few times to get to the main plot.
Emeline has so many dreams and goals to achieve, but she's missing the passion that is needed for those goals. She's basically just living day to day going through the movements without the actual feelings to go along with her journey. We then discover her heart really belongs to her hometown and the first that holds so many mysteries.
I really liked Hawthorne, though his reluctance to tell Emeline anything got old really fast. Fae stories always have so many half truths.
The curse mystery i figured out pretty quickly but it was so fun to see it go through the reveal cycle.
Glad I finally got around to reading this!
