The Things Gods Break by Abigail OwenMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
After demolishing book 1 multiple times, I was extremely excited to get back into this storyline to see what would happen for Lyra and Hades and Boone. And this book is packed with adventures, more trials, and a whole lot of confusion. Which is intentional, but boy did it take me way too long to read this book because of all the moments I became more confused. Eventually, things became clearer, but then yet again we were presented with another cliffhanger.
I think Lyra is so strong, brave, and determined. She's extremely witty and comes up with the answers really quickly in certain instances. I do love her character and how pure she is.
I love getting to know all the new characters. But I will say, theyte was very little moments with Boone. He had a lot of his own missions in this book it seems.
What Lyra put Hades through? It's kinda messed up when you think about it. I get why it had to be done, but it's really a lot to put on someone's shoulders and also expect them to keep his sanity.
