I do not envy either Dante or El. Dante had been thrown into this crazy family and has enormous shoes to fill. That's a lot of pressure plus the family business isn't all that's cracked up to be.
And El... man I can't understand how she is still saner. If I were her I'd either be finding a way to kill myself or I would be a stone cold killer. To go through what she did and still have hope for a good future? She's an angel.
There was so much that happened in this novel and and my heart hurts for Chase. I don't think I could live my life the way these characters do. Too much danger and pressure and death.
