Review: Whatever It Takes

Whatever It Takes Whatever It Takes by L.E. Bross
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

When I requested this novel, I didn't realize it was a companion novel to Right Where You Are, which I read (also from NetGalley) in October 2015. Then Avery and Seth were put into the novel and was pleasantly surprised that I got to read about Ryan's story!

I loved Ryan in the first novel. He is always dedicated and there for everyone in his life and taking care of everyone. So to be able to read his story was great because if anyone needs his own happily ever after, it's Ryan (even if he thinks he won't have that).

I absolutely loved Tess. She is a fighter, but even fighters have their off moments. And when she saw Ryan again after 7 years, she was having a very bad moment. There is only so much bad events one person can take, and Tess was well beyond her fair share.

The connection between Ryan and Tess was intense and off the walls hot. They definitely fell back into the relationship they had 7 years ago and were fooling themselves about being friends.

And I loved Noah. That sweet, innocent boy who only has love for the people in his life. I can't believe how terrible his father is, but Tess more than makes up for the loss of love that his father gives. And his relationship with Ryan is so heartwarming and amazing. Makes me smile just thinking about it.

I liked this novel better than the first in the series, but that's mainly due to I liked both of the characters from the beginning. I soon learn to love Avery in the first novel, but Tess and Ryan are those characters that you can't help but love from the first moment to the last.

I'll be interested to see if there will be any more novels added to this series. I didn't think Ryan was going to get his own story, so who knows what other stories L.E. Bross will come up with!
