Review: Faith

Faith Faith by Elizabeth Hayes
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I received this free eARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

This was a very quick read, but I think that might be a strike against this novel. Faith/Laura is extremely self conscious about her life, which I don’t blame here. When she is diagnosed in remission from having cancer, Faith/Laura doesn’t really know how to take the news. It’s something she’s always wanted, but never thought it would actually happen.

So she gets a job, even though she doesn’t need the money, and makes friends in the strange atmosphere of her new employment. From there, she meets Bryce who she can’t seem to stop thinking about.

I think Faith/Laura is a fighter and for her to find a job just to have something to do every once in awhile was really heartbreaking. I’m glad things turned around for her and I did enjoy this story a lot.

I do feel like the reader zipped through this time period of Faith/Laura’s, and it didn’t really seem like the end when the last page came up in the novel. The relationship between Faith/Laura and Bryce seemed a bit forced and fast, but maybe that’s how it feels when people fall fast and hard.

I’m glad I got an eARC and I think many readers will enjoy this story!
